Re: How do I know the trustworthyness of a new coin?

I don't think relying on reviews is a solid guide whether a certain ICO/coin is trustworthy. We need to dig deeper and do a background check on the team behind it. Also, if the team's information is not shared publicly, then that would be a BIG RED FLAG for me.

upvotes.io or upvote.network are both good choices. They always compensate if ever you experience non-delivery on your original order.

Is there a chance of getting a reddit account banned if you upvote a thread in a subreddit you are not subscribed in?

I think so especially if you upvote posts in random subreddits more than the typical user would.

Although at a higher scale than trading, ICO investing is also high risk-high reward depending on factors like the project itself, its team, and supporters. Sadly, some ICO investors have quit to avoid losses from scams. Speaking of good projects, I've been eyeing one called MenloOne that's going to launch as a decentralized ICO listing marketplace where its CEO mentioned about having solved the various issues most investors fear in ICOs.

Now you can choose ETH, as the high ETH capacity at the end of 2018 is possible, this coin is extremely popular and potential.

It's true that Eth still has a very high upside in the future, but I believe that there is more money to be made in ICOs.. the legit ones.. With Menlo One, the game changer in ICO investing launching soon, I'm saving as much eth as I can to purchase Menlo tokens as soon as it's sale is open to the public..

Re: How the best ICO is choosen

Yeah there's so much information to swim through nowadays, and so much work behind finding the right ICO. It's a bit overwhelming for someone who hasn't done much work with crypto to try and distinguish one from the other. Thanks for the list of pointers, that is certainly good advice.

I don't know if it would be better to hire someone to do this for you or not. It might help to work with an advisor at the beginning just to see how they do it, and then start out for yourself, but starting small.

There is always a possibility that a successfully looking project would collapse right in the middle, so everyone's advice here is just "Invest on what you can afford to lose", You are right start small. Also no advice is perfect, the best teacher is always experience. Also there are some review sites like icobench and menlo.one that can help you where to start investing your money.

It's good to invest small and lose small, but in order to be rich, I believe that the higher your risk appetite, the bigger your potential gains; of course it would ultimately depend on the project you choose to invest in. Just like what I did with Neo and Spectre, I'm gonna wing it with Menlo One.

For me I always think if their product or idea would sell to public, what I mean if its marketability. Because a project always depends on its community to be able to succeed, If I see the project not getting any huge exposure or either not getting enough support then I would go for them. Right now, there are few projects that wins my heart in terms of this criteria namely OPP and Menlo just look into their telegram group's and you'll see a number of supports they are getting.

Is Menlo One 100% legit in your opinion? It has high ratings and great reviews but can we really trust them? I would like to conduct further research but don't know where to start  Undecided

For now I'm using ICObench, but will soon be moving to https://www.menlo.one once it officially launches its token sale for the first ever ICO marketplace. Having a single platform not only for checking ICOs and viewing/posting in discussions, but also to actually buy them is too good of a token sale to ignore.

Hello,

Most promising ICO project usually does presale with a requirements to invest like 100k minimum. So im wandering is there any ICO syndicate or any company, so one (small investor) could joing pre sale of ICOs and buy coin he likes for a big discount pre sale offers?

https://www.menlo.one will soon launch its token sale to help retail investors gain access to most ICO projects. This platform also provides a Town Hall and Guild system wherein people are able to create discussions about these projects and find out which ones deserve funding. What's unique about this system is that posts are verified by the Guild and if your post checks out, you will actually be rewarded with tokens.

Here's KoreanJew's exclusive interview with Menlo's CEO to help explain what this platform is about https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=884&v=Rw1QBpBYE6o

depends on how much hype is for the project, you get in the right ico it can do a 10x out the gate but alot of coins tend to fall lower than ico price if not much hype behind it.

There's indeed a lot of money to be made in ICOs. The thing we really need to look out for are the scams which we sometimes really can't predict until it happens. That said, I think Menlo One's token sale this July is perfect timing since it will serve as a token for their ICO marketplace platform aiming to provide an easy way for retail investors to invest as well as find out which tokens deserve funding as opposed to coins that could potentially just end up running with our money.

Re: BEST ICO for 2018
by

on 16/06/2018, 12:20:13 UTC
My choices would be to go with ICO's that are wanting to change the current state of the market right where manipulation, fraud and scams are very rampant. So I suggest go with projects like Deedcoin, menlo.one or ETheal.

I dunno about other tokens in your list, but I think Menlo One is the game changer for future ICOs. It's pro-innovation not only for its own benefit, but for the purpose of crowdfunding tokens who deserve investors. Ever since a lot of ad platforms have started banning crypto related advertisements, I can only imagine how difficult and expensive it is to promote a project.

Edit:
This is basically a win-win for the token and retail investor! Currently viewing KoreanJew's interview with Menlo's CEO and I am just all the more excited for their token sale this coming July.

I'm waiting for DAI to finally go live as I am sure it's going to be one of the top cryptos soon. Not sure how it's going to work with its 1:1 ratio with the dollar though...

Actually, DAI is not going to be 1:1 against the dollar. It was designed to minimize its volatility which means that price could still fluctuate but not as much as other cryptos.. I'm not sure how this works since I've always known that the market alone can dictate prices.

With the Eth platform being utilized more than Bitcoin, I think the Chinese were serious when they mentioned that Eth has surpassed Bitcoin. Well maybe not yet in terms of price, but it is obviously way more useful. With DAI around, we won't have to worry too much about market fluctuations as well. I own an online shop and was wondering if setting up Paybear's system can be done easily within a couple of days? Also, can it run with other payment gateways if I'd like to keep them as options for customers?

It would be best for you to contact the Paybear team through Telegram since they are always active there. https://t.me/paybear

Re: What would be the features you would expect from a gaming cryptocurrency ?

I would expect everything in-game to revolve around cryptocurrency. From the loot you get from mobs, quest rewards, in-game trades, to the premium game items.. On top of that, I would like to see a non-paytowin scheme which means that end-game items aren't sold directly to players but instead they need to create it or buy it from another players in-game.

With $10,000 you could already buy a piece of land with it right? For now, I don't think that it's a good idea to buy crypto at the moment.

We don't know whether Bitcoin can still make it back to $20k, but with your current losses, I bet it would hurt a lot to sell now. Just forget about it and invest in something else to keep yourself busy.

As reflected on bitcoin's graph today, it is clearly noticeable that bitcoin is pushing up its market capitalization and price. Not only bitcoin is recovering but alternate cryptocurrencies too. How i wish i have invested in bitcoin when its market price goes down.

It's safe to say that Bitcoin is trying to recover. But, we are still not out of the woods unless the $10k resistance has been pierced with good volume.

Being a holder doesn't necessarily mean just buying at any point. It also requires timing and looking at market conditions whether it has a good long term potential or not. For example, I wouldn't buy Bitcoin until it successfully breaks above $10,000 to confirm that the uptrend is back on track.

Based on my own experience in stocks, investors would prefer a less volatile stock/asset and traders are the ones who prefer volatile conditions.
