This is the great news the community has been waiting for a long time now! It will likely take some time before the herd of traders flock in, given this bear market. At least that's good for testing and fine-tuning.

Personally i dont like their land system a lot, it makes it hard to actually own land and really expensive. We want to build something that can keep growing in the many years ahead and give people enough space
to create that what they would like to create. Thats why i think our dynamic land will be our succes story in the future.
Dynamic land sounds indeed as a very intriguing feature. I'm very curious on the long run which paradigm will people favour, this one or Decentraland's one.

Project is intriguing to say the least. I don't know if anyone has asked that already, but which will be the main differences towards decentraland?
Our main differences are
the dynamic land system, where people need to perform tasks to prove they still own the PK, this is important cause you dont
want empty land parcels in the centre. People can change location, connect land etc. (We will release an article on this soon).
Also we are working on onchain voting for a governance system, but this we want to decide with the community like a constitution (experimental atm)
We have a non profit foundation that sell all the land and will use the tokens raised to get project to the platform and help project
realise their project if they make a kick-ass proposal that improve aswell the metaverse as use-cases. First 50k land parcels will be sold by this foundation
and also the planets.
Our data sharing and storage solution is not the same, we will offer also support for IPFS, but also a lot more and we will create solutions
improving this and actually make it possible to have a best possible working metaverse.
We will have three markets in our app (we didnt gave them a name yet)
- Real estate market (for the land titels)
- Community store for 3d models and other NFT's that are created for the platform or even by people.
- App store, the complete system is a decentralized open source metaverse so we are creating an app store where developers can sell their apps for other
land owners or players to use. (think about woocommerce ideas etc. but than for the metaverse)
Sounds really cool. Which are the technical skills you are having in your team as far as coding in this field is concerned? And which are the skills you are still missing and need to find human resources for? To setup just an ambitious project is no joke.

The reason for that in fact is very simple, and it's called market economy. Price goes down because more people are happy to sell than people who are happy to buy. So why are more people happy to sell than people who are happy to buy? One of the reasons probably is that all those who bought the coin early when it was just priced a handful of stats and failed to sell all their bags at ATH are still having a profit to sell EVEN after such a huge drop.

Eth-pow bridge was announced many times but it's still not working.
I don't believe it will ever work and if this project cant do such a simple thing after 1 year of development there is no hope until it works fully with no issues I can not have any faith in the devs at this point.

This is the question: when? Nobody knows, dev not disclosing too much info. Hopefully, coin was taken for free, so no drama.
Well the token was free but I did waste tons of time checking the thread checking the website because they keep saying the bridge is coming and updates are happening.
This coin was a large waste of time because not the dev seems to be inactive at least I did not lose any money on it I guess.
I agree. Time is an asset and we have only a limited quantity of it. And we have wasted far too much time with POW by waiting that the team meets their deadlines - which so far in one year has never happened.

The only news is that the team is managing to disattend 100% of the deadlines that it has choses to meet. Bridge should have gone live again 10 days ago or so, but for the nth time no facts followed the statements...

I saw on the POWToken website there was an update to be able to transfer the same friends in media media. my question when can I transfer Pow Token to MEW?
The bridge is supposed to re-open on September 21st, hopefully the team behind POWtoken meet that deadline, I'm cautiously optimistic it will happen

Newbie comes onto the forum and starts snooping around because he heard about bounties. He wants to make some cash and he wants some cash right now. He starts trying to sign up and realizes he needs to be a jr member to participate. Here comes your first influx of SPAM.
We are now a jr member. Things are looking good. You sign up for your first signature campaign. Earning time is right around the corner. A few weeks in you realize the Hero members are getting massive stakes and by the end of the campaign they will get all the rewards. You think to hell with this I'm gonna rank up. Now the SPAM really starts flying.
About a day or two into this the new user starts to realize something isn't correct. Why am I not ranking up. This is where he learns about the merit system. The new user has a bad day as he realizes he has been locked out of this game. The game has been centralized by the upper members.
The new user quits. He says fuck this noise I'm out.
A day later he realizes why he came here in the first place. He needs damn money. So the light bulb goes off. Well if a hero member gets 8 stake and a jr member gets 1 there is only one thing left to do if I'm to make it as a bounty hunter. Multiple accounts!
We probably have hundreds of people spamming the hell out of this board with multiple accounts and the merit system does nothing to stop the spam and it may actually cause more of it.

Before the Merit system spam in the forum was already spinning out of control, and since the spammers were ranking up with all their alts at some point they would have totally fucked up the whole forum. It may be true that some new sort of spam may have been caused by the Merit system, but other sorts of spam has surely been limited. With the merit system, spammers - at least the new spammers - will be confined at the lowest ranks. Moreover, with the latest change - 1 merit requirement for being a Junior Memner - all those new spammers will never rise above the level of Newbie, which could demotivate them from continuing to spam since as a Newbie you cannot earn money with Bounty campaigns.

I think this is nailing it. That is THE explanation. Now if we think that ICOs have collected billions of $ Worth of ETH, that is really scaring...

You're funny. Nobody will dump the coins, it is not ethical and healthy for the project. We didn't do any ICO in order to have money for paying exchanges to list us. anyone from the community can list WebDollar anywhere. We just developed a technology. Sky is the limit, you can list WebDollar everywhere you want. Due to high costs of listing a coin we're developing the ecosystem exchange where everyone will be able to trade WebDollar at the cheapest fees.

I may be funny but I know for sure that if you have a good project your coin will be listed for free on the biggest exchanges. Take IOTA for example.

Who is developing this project? Are you an organization, foundation or something?
Do not mess things up. IOTA had ICO premined 100% for investors => funds for developing and listing.
We did chose the second way. We finished the tech and now after finishing the exchange we will do marketing with our own resources in order to achieve an organic growth. We're not an foundation and we don't need to be because we didn't need to ask anyone to fund us in order to finish the tech. Like BTC we developed a tech and our community with us will develop the project. Explorers, exchange listings, etc.
I like this approach, which reminds of the old spirit of the first Bitcoin pioneers. Now most of the projects are about how fast a new coin is getting to an established exchange so that the firstcomers can play at the musical chair at who is dumping the coins at the highest price before others do and who is the unlucky one left in the role of the bagholder full of worthless coins. Nobody cares about tech any more if not as a pretext for a pump&dump. And now here we have the team of Webdollar who, in spite of having chosen a quite terrible name for their coin, are passionate about developing their project regardless of all these common crypto miseries.
Do they contraddict themselves on this path? Yes, they do, again and again. Because that happens when you are working for the aim of creating something new.

I have to agree with you on that. With all due respect for their tecnical skills I have been quite critical on the chaotic planning (or lack of proper planning) of the team. But certainly if you look at the whole issue this way, then we can just only see those mistakes as minor quite irrelevant issues.

What you are saying makes a perfect sense. We are speaking of hundreds of millions of dollars, possibly over a billion in the whole, raised by companies who actually plan to use that money in the FIAT world, where they won't accept Ethereum, thus the urge to sell until what they have is still something worth.

If you really need to secure the network, ok, stake it for a limited time, but make a transparent system where the coins gained from staking the premine are immediately burned.
The premine should be used for bounties, as was promised, not for creating additional coins or increasing the staking difficulty for everyone else who actually bought or mined their coins.
If you keep breaking your promises, no one will be able to trust you in the end.
And I'm saying this because I really like this project.

It was clear a lot of time ago that those few big computer farms were mining all the coins and this would lead to a lack of decentralization, the consequence was obvious with just a bit of extrapolation, and it had been told as a warning on this thread by someone. It should have been taken care then, now it's a mess. But of course, not taking care of that could end into a much bigger damage. Great devolepers you are, for sure, but bad planners and stubborn in never listening to those who had told you about this problem time ago on this very thread, as I perfectly remember.
And I'm saying this because I too really like this project.

That is impossible by definition, since to this date every announced date for the release of bridge has been false. And it has turned to be false also the announcement of the already working bridge, since as you've noticed it is not working.
The only attitude possible is to wait and see what happens - if it will ever happen.

Yes, such a good idea which then is getting spoiled by a total incompetence in judging one owns limits and the incapability to make statements which are effectively true. And failing to disable the withdraw button if it doesn't withdraw is another syptom of inadequacy.

PS. The Whitepaper is too complicated because it contains too much written text with no images. I think you should respect more your community and make the whitepaper in the form of comix strips with a lot of nice pictures and drawings and colors.
