I created a thread in altcoins subforum because I got scammed on the ETH chain https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5504183
However I realized they are exclusively a BTC pool now so it makes more sense here

[Pool] Hiveon scammers, please be careful

I used to mine ETH with them back in 2020-2021. They had a minimum ETH threshold of 0.1 for payouts. When I started in 2020, reaching this threshold was easy, but by the end of 2021, it became difficult with my single mining rig. I stopped mining by the end of 2021 with a balance of around 0.08 ETH, hoping to mine the rest later. Then the merge came.

They closed the pool and allowed us to claim our unpaid balances, regardless of the amount. I tried to claim mine, but they required the IP address I used for mining (many months prior), making my claim impossible.

I contacted them by chat at the end of 2022, and they manually processed my claim, telling me to wait for the payment. Last year, I followed up because I hadn't received my payment, and they said my wallet was still on the list, with payouts being processed.

Today, I contacted them again for the same reason, and this time they told me my wallet was not eligible for payment. They first argued that I hadn't manually set a threshold for my payments, which indicated that the support staff were new and unaware of past processes. Then they claimed I didn't meet their terms and conditions, which state that balances can't be claimed after 6 months of inactivity https://hiveon.com/pool-terms/. These terms were added in 2023 (https://web.archive.org/web/20230201000000*/https://hiveon.com/pool-terms/).

When I pointed this out, they said I wouldn't get my ETH without providing a reason.

Despite still operating with other currencies, I strongly advise against mining with them, as they won't hesitate to keep your money.

Does anybody here has the whitepaper of this ICO?
I still have my CAG tokens and I want to check if they have done everything they promised

Hey,

I was in the team between 2019 and 2022.

Change achieved a lot of its promises but couldn't be a bank like stated in the ICO. It became a successful crypto broker platform, and later, they have added stocks, precious metals, CFDs and some others. I see it as a very succesful Robinhood clone for Europe. In that sense, they are doing great, I wish the best for the team.

On the other hand, about CAG, they couldn't keep their promises due to legal reasons. (It was like we want to be anarchists but our mothers did not let us to be. Cheesy) They needed to make a token swap, created a new token named CNG, which is not open to the blockchain. CNG was equity or equity-like structure for Change. Recently, they also killed CNG and give actual shares for CNG users on Funderbeam platform.

So, if you are still holding CAG, it is worthless right now. Until very last moment, even after token swap, even after Funderbeam shares available, CAG was marketted as "we will use it as a utility token" (it can be seen here: https://web.archive.org/web/20220330033405/https://www.changeinvest.com/investor), but they killed the token in last quarter review video, new CEO Marek said "there is no plan with CAG": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhOYatr_Elg 24:04

Just know that, while I was in the team, I did everything to push any development related to CAG. Every time they ask to team "what should we build next", I always kept replying "something related with CAG, we have a promise to complete".

Don't get me wrong, I really trust them. It is what it is. Legally or financially or maybe business-wise, it wasn't possible to make CAG to the moon.

I keep my CAGs as memory of good old days.

Hey mate, thanks for taking the time to respond here.

I disagree with this.
I know you can encounter legal obstacles, but the way I see it, people who invested hundreds or thousands of dollars in CAG are founders, and they deserve to be treated like that.
Basically the company founded millions of dollars from people who trusted, and then you find an obstacle and decide "we cannot keep our promises so that is it", sounds like it was a good opportunity to not invest the money in favor of the founders.
What happened with those millions of dollars? Who is getting benefit from it?
If you cannot deliver what you've promised, then the right thing to do is find out another way to include the founders in your plans and retribute. Clearly is more convenient to just forget about it and cut founders off the benefits as there is no legal obligation to it.

I was too young by then, now I have learn that a binding document HAS to be on the table before making an investment, otherwise scamming people is way too easy.

What happened to me is that when the swap to CNG token started, the website was not working right and I was not able to do the swap (because it demanded to demonstrate european residency), and I remember it was frustrating because the longer you took to make the swap, the less CNG you were going to receive.
I emailed to support and the only answer I got was "try reinstalling the app"
Then just forgot about it because I realized that the project was not going anywhere anyways.

Can I apply it to an XFX or Asrock 5700XT card? Or should I wait until a modded rom is released for those cards?

Only way to mod RX 5600XT i have been successful by modding  same manufacturer bios on it but different series.
Some bios are slower then others for RX 5600XT
On sapphire pulse which was stock bios max hash was 40mh , then used Sapphire pulse BE bios and got the hash up to 43mh/s
Like the timings editing really doe not work, it bricks the bios. It makes me think that we need different tools for editing.

Is it safe to flash the gpu BIOS with the BIOS of another model?

Re: My rig freezes when mining eth
by

Its very strange that it would freeze because it was pulling too much power. I think on stock voltage those GPUs pull maybe ~150-160Watts each, so 6 of them is around 1000kw. The PSU should still be able to handle it because if I recall the G2 1300W PSU was single rail. So it didn't matter which way it was delivering power.

If you got a quality PSU you can run it at 80% load most of the time and not get any issues. I remember back in the Antminer S2 days, those pulled 1000Watts out of the box and the PSU included was a 1000Watt PSU. And basically a large percentage of them ended up failing since they ran at 100% load non-stop but there was also tons that ran fine at 100% load for years. Hence 80% load on a quality PSU shouldn't be an issue.

Maybe it is something about voltage, this PSU used to handle larger loads, even 1200w. I also tried with a newer PSU I have, an NXZT Hale90 1200w, and it kept freezing as well.

So what's the culprit here? Looks like you have limited power supply, if reducing the voltage works then it's the power, I'm glad you are able to figure things out, can you share the exact watt that your GPUs are pulling? Thanks

Memory: 2100@875mV
Core: 1050@875mV

31.2mh and 97w

I have 6 identical gpu, three of them turn unstable after 3 hours with that config, so I have reduce them its memory frecuency to 2050 reducing its performance to 30.7mh and 94w.

I don't think its your PSU. If you want to eliminate your PSU as the culprit just run the miner with reduced intensity, basically run it at 50% and see if it runs then. It will use less power and you can see if its your issue or not.

Try what I suggested and get your motherboard manual and find out about the available lanes on your PCIe slots.

The problem was solved when I downvolted from 1150mV to 950mV, now my rig is perfectly capable of mine with 6 gpu.
Now I am just reducing voltage to reduce costs, so I downvolted to 875 which is the value I have found on some settings that other users recommended.

And psu can now handle the load.

as a rule of thumb 60% on an atx works well 24/7/365. and 1300 x .60 = 680 watts.

Just realized that 1300 x.6 is 780 watts

Anyway, I kept changing the voltage down to 875mV for both core and memory and it is still stable.
How much is it safe to downvolt?, I don't dare to put any lower value.

Re: Rx 570 8gb strix MOD bios

Don't complicate it. Just use Polaris Bios Editor. Here is step-by-step instruction which will make it easy: https://www.kryptex.org/en/articles/radeon-rx-bios-en

I followed the instruccions, N-th timing strap for an N-1 frequency which gives me 22mh (25mh is at stock).
Memshifting from 1500 to down gives me a slight improvement agains stock timmings, 26mh

I ended up here: https://github.com/IndeedMiners/PolarisBiosEditor/issues/2
K4G80325FC is my memory code and none of ubermix timmings worked for me

I applied the straps provided by BoriZka67 and resulting in 31.2mh with 2100/1150 and 97w

If you have samsung memory you can just use ubermix 3.1 timings

or follow guide

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1954245.0

Applied ubermix straps 3.1 in +1750 to stock bios
Miner starts with 28mh than goes to 0, driver seems to fail

No, first thing is reducing voltage. No need to edit bios for that.

Thanks man!, I undervolted the gpus core form 1150mV to 950mV, now it is running stable at 700w according to my kill-a-watt

As a rule of thumb never use GPUZ to save roms. Use the bios flashing utility itself.

Good to know, thanks.

Too late Shocked
I flashed 1 gpu using ubermix 3.1 straps (it is a samsung memory)
After that MB won't boot with HDMI connected to it, however it is still being recongnized in windows and capable to mine.
I flashed back its original BIOS, however the display was not fixed.

It is still on warranty so I will return the card.

Okay, it started to fail again, with 50Gb virtual memory, it started to throw Video TDR failures.
I also changed the PSU for another similar one with no luck.
It was an improvement however, I can mine with 5 gpu for some hours without getting my rig freeze/restarted
With 6 GPU it instantly gets frozen.

I tried to modify straps with Claymore automatic feature, however it throws Video TDR failure when starting.
I will MOD bios to change straps and reduce voltage with AMD drivers, it my final guess.

You need at minimum 6*8GB of virtual memory ...

Thanks that was the issue. I remember using 16gb for my old 6x 4gb gpu rig so I though 32gb would work

And mining @stock is just a joke, stock voltage is just burning your rig ...

I tried MSI afterburner, it just simply does not work, I will try claymore auto oc or MOD the bios

i would suggest you get a 15-20 dollar kwatt meter and see what you are pulling at the meter.

If you are over 1100 watts and have been using that psu for a long time at say 900 watts the psu may not be up to the task. so pull a gpu to see how it runs.

I have a Kill-a-watt, 910w total with 6 gpu on

Add way more virtual memory.  What do you need drive space for anyway.

More than 32Gb??? How much? 64Gb? I don't know if there is space in disk disk for that

virtual memory?
32000 mb
clock to high?
Gpus untouched, mining at stock

power supply is maxed?

Don't know what that means

you are only mining with a single 4 gig ram id would increase the virtual memory in windows

Done it and tried more ram
