Ahem... Not really. Now the 3 hours passed, by about half an hour; miner turned to my backup pool as usual, but the graph keep going, and the status is still "Rented - Ends in a few moments"...
I'm sure it's just a display/temporary issue. But I'm curious: it's happening just on my rig?
Been using the service (renting) and love how easy it is to use.
Only selfish thing I'd like to see is giving the current renter a 1-2 minutes to rebook before it's available live on the site again.
If I'm renting for 24+ hours, and someone is watching the minutes count down and is F5,F5,F5 refreshing the page to book it for just a few hours, what would rig owners prefer?
Or maybe give rig owners an option to turn that feature on/off.
As a rig op, I'd like to have the option to allow renters to rebook. Less work they have to do!
so you grabbed a collection of previously copyrighted open source free programs and copyrighted them again after bundling them ? let me know how that works out for ya
You do some serious trolling on this board. I've seen your username frickin 12 times tonight, and not a single time have you added value to any thread.

what wallet are you cats using? I recently had to -rescan on the bitcoind and then rebuild/rescan inside of Armory. Took care of my unconfirmed payouts.
I broke my leg (broke the lower bone in half and pierced my skin) riding a motorbike. You must love us motorbike riders. Fortunately I was wearing full protective gear, but experienced the shortcomings of ankle high boots rather than full boots.
I've had a couple bad ass injuries like that. One guy ran his bike into a tree. Damn near amputated his lower leg just from the impact. I believe he lost it later in surgery. He didn't have on full height boots. Ride safe my friend.
I don't need to know which coins is actually mined (although that could be very nice to know but I understand that could reveal some of the mechanics behind the scenes) but having the list of coins that could potentially be mined by CleverMining would be very helpful.
Copying his system? I would like to see what I am mining
We are selling all mined coins to exchange them to bitcoins, so what's the difference what coins we were mining? I don't want to disclose neither list of coins nor any other details on how the engine works. I hope most people won't mind as long as profits are good
Hey Terk - can you confirm if your custom stratum software follows the standards (meaning scan-time, expiry and queue settings local to our miners are meaningless), or if we specify settings that they are in fact not ignored?
Those settings are client side only.
In theory Stratum server implementation should send those settings to clients as well as send work restart command as soon as a block change.
Those settings are defaulted locally by the respective miner, or set locally via command line or conf file. Just in case I was mistaken, I just ran through slush's stratum server source and couldn't find any relevant source that would transmit those settings to the clients. I did just work 12 hours though, I might have missed it if it was in there.
Mining clients do move on when they receive a new block message.
Why do rejects matter if the overall profit is stil higher than other pools, if your not happy about the amount of rejects why bother making a post saying screw this till they fix it, just quietly leave and dont let the door hit your ass on the way out.
For myself and a lot of others Profit is the name of the game and here we personally see higher profit, im not going to go into maths because that has already been done to death. Terk has already stated he's working on it and for the love of god he's worked his ass off to provide a great pool, it takes times ti fix things, its not as though there is a massive team behind the scene's to listen to everyones little whim's its one man doing a great job.
the other region servers are on their way and will be ready when the work has been completed and Terk is satisfied with the process until then give it a rest please.
People don't read to help themselves, instead post expecting help. I don't hold out much hope that they will heed your plea.
The widespread lack of reading etc is obvious, based on responses in this thread.

Most, if not all of rejection complaints are coming from people with little to no experience in mining. Hashing Xmh/s doesn't make you experts at mining, it just mean you have much $$ to throw around.
What you all fail to understand is that mining has MANY variables and you can't just implement 1 setting to all pools. Here @ CM, fast coins are mined as SAID MANY TIMES BEFORE. That means you need to make adjustments in your config file to make it suitable. It's NOT ONE SIZE FITS ALL.
Here's my suggestion: Read up and understand how mining works. Yes, that means study it. In this instant gratification world, I know it's something hard to do, but that's what it takes. Otherwise your rejection will continue to be high. Guess what? It's your own damn fault. Many good suggestion were posted in this thread, but obviously you all are too lazy to look it up OR understand how it works.
Since the fix implementation of about week ago, Terk has done what he could to bring rejections down. I have less than 5% rejection running for good week now. Experienced miners already made the changes and are doing just fine. Newbs are ones that can't grasp this concept.
On server complaints:
Have patience.
Have a nice day.
I've seen this response almost every time someone asks about rejects. It's basically "blah blah blah, you need to learn about mining and making changes to your config, but I'm not going to provide you with any other information it's secret to me you're too new blah blah blah".
It's getting tiring. A few people have suggested adjustments to queue length, scan time and expiry time - and others explained why increasing or decreasing would have an impact on multipool vs. standard coin (this was great advice).
What other advice can we share to tweak our configs? (instead of hoarding it).
Getting asked about rejects over and over and over and over and over and over. Repeatedly. In different threads even. THAT shit is getting old, and why you see old timers getting butthurt. ALL the information you want to know, could know, would ever NEED to know is contained in these forums. Search them.
With everything else being equal (ie BTC per MH/s per day), if there is a choice between 5-10% and 1% reject rate, which is the better choice?
Not a difficult answer. Has been answer in this thread and many other threads before it. The MC has ~500 pages of information, a lot of it based around the question you asked.
If high rejects make you feel bad, then move along to another pool that has lower rejects. I personally don't care if I have 99.999999% rejects as long as I am making more than I would at another pool.
