Yes, I factor in news and the effect of price on what news gets bloated and vice versa, as well as some technical analysis. 

The bearish/negative sentiment has been holding true and is shaping up on the charts.  This is short term though, and could end as soon as Feb 1-14.

1) be shutdown by non compliance/govt

2) bankrupt from mismanaging funds

3) get hacked from cheap site or incompetence

4) is unusable from bad/cheap design, system, traffic/liquidity problem

Bitfinex also has high interest lending, which gets you something like up to 1% per day on USD loans.  so you're not just borrowing for leverage, but you can make guaranteed money by lending.  They also have good deposit /cash out by wire... compared to btce who don't even make sure you're kyc aml hence they could easily go down.  Also their liquidity is up to par with btce, because the trade are routed to bitstamp. 

Also, if you look at the stats page, you see that there is usually 10 million plus lent out.

Finally, you actually know the owners of bitfinex and exactly where they're located which is the free trade district of pudong and the ceo and cfo's linkedn is public.

I think bitfinex is quite comparable to other btc exchanges like GOX and stamp.  they are in the pu dong free trade district.  they might be lacking in support vs stamp.

Their site is a bit behind i think, though i don't know much about computers.  But stamp and gox messes up all the time too.

I don't believe my sentiment has ever been higher than -1... for the last month and half.

None of the bitcoin markets can withstand any real test of traffic, liquidity, and money flow.  They don't even have the competency or tech support to handle all the issues once traffic starts.  Right now traffic is a joke and is just major bubble/overbuying.
