Re: How do you protect your digital coins?
by
acheampong64
on 11/05/2019, 21:11:16 UTC
The first point to consider when talking about coin/asset protection is to make sure you alone, have access to your assets (private keys per say). Then the next thing to consider is to make sure the platform you're storing is safe and secure. The others such as preventing phishing, private keys theft, etc are extra precautions as well.

It's awesome when you see such back-in-days posts about market prices. It shows where we have come from and how far we're or can go. ETH has shown some nice potentials in the past 24 hrs and is proving to move against Bitcoin at the top. That was what we were waiting for. Can't wait to see at move up against $200 once again.
Moreover, exchanging ETH for TRX isn't a bad choice tho. Tron has quite some awesome potentials as well.

Re: Selling tokens/low market cap coins for Bitcoin?

Everyone would've loved to do that but immediately you decide to do that then your consciousness asks you, what if the reverse happens? hehee.. Anything can happen buddy, ALTs won't go down and down forever. No matter what, a reverse will occur and they may bounce back. My only wish is that Bitcoin should stay there (at the top) when this reverse starts to occur and it's gonna be awesome for everyone.

Re: what will happen to ethereum in this bullrun?
by

For me, Ethereum would've been seen as threatened if only other large cap coins say Ripple was pumping at the same pace against Bitcoin, but since all them major ALTs were bleeding together, I believe Ethereum is still in a good position to maintain its second place and portray and appreciable price movements in the next days to come.

Lol, Personally I wouldn't be happy yet. (I mean about the current breakout up) but I'm glad for the overall performance of Bitcoin this year. It's awesome. But for the breakout of 6K, we need more time to declare if we've ideally settled around that else we may have a short celebration.

Re: Bitcoin is irreversible: strength and weakness

This was the same thing that Binance CEO mentioned and it caused mayhem in the whole space. Nevertheless, I think personally that blockchain is smart this way and should be allowed to be so. Fact is that, for crypto and blockchain to be very different from the normal fiat we know, we should have these exceptional features. Binance isn't the first exchange to be hacked and honestly many people have experienced worse. We all need to be careful and cautious so we don't fall as victims for anyone.

Yep yep!! Crypto trading is very addictive just like any other addictive habit. So the best thing you can do it to try and take periodic breaks and do some other hobbies else as time goes by, it becomes more difficult for you to stop.

lol, you know what, it is not even good to ask if now is the time or not. So far as you love crypto, you should always have the habit to be an investor and invest where, what and how you can. Doing that keeps you safer than gambling to touch the bottom and tops of the market. That's quite risky!

Well, i also like to engage in a conversation with such people because it gives me much pleasure to show them the side where they've intentionally shut their eyes to and i love to do that. Personally, I believe anyone who still stands for no-coiner is just a "negative perosna" They jusr wait to see the beauty aspects hehee.

Re: 3 arrested in Bangladesh for merely trading Bitcoin

I am watching for the first time that some are arrested for trading crypto or exchanging. I am even shocked .It has proved that btc user are not fully anonymous someone can track them. Its really bad feeling for me and also for them hopefully the government will learn and research more on blockchain and they can find the latest digital currency.
Lol, Bitcoin transactions and functionality has always been anonymous buddy. It is the associated things people do that aren't anonymous. But for the tech, it is really is perfectly anonymous. For instance if you send Bitcoins to anyone, I can trace the transaction alright but wouldn't know it was you until you decide to cash out, which isn't anonymous.

Personally i think Bitcoin can by far be said as the most resilient asset class in history and i think that can he attributed to the fact that it has tested time and criticisms over a very long period of time and it's still embraced by many. We are still early in this, let's wait for what the future will give us.

and to make this more potentially possible, many large mainstream companies (Samsung amongst others) have started tapping into the space so they don't get behind the race in case we overtake them in the near future which is very possible. Cryptos have proven to be resilient over a long time after si many tests it's endured. The future is brighter buddy. Good luck to us all.

Very well said buddy. We're in the experimental phase of a great invention in the 21st century and we should be glad we are part. Apart from the price issues, i think this is the bigger picture we should shift our attention towards and it'll give us a honorable relief.

Re: Would Ethereum remain the number 1 smart-contract platform in 2020 and onward?
by
acheampong64
on 04/05/2019, 23:13:13 UTC
Ethereum could've been the best platform but unfortunately about 90% of all the projects that were built on the blockchain failed and as such it's affected Ethereum itself badly. Now, Ethereum can't even keep up with Bitcoin's price chart anymore. It's behaving as a normal altcoin though it wasn't doing so before. Buh well, you can't emphatically predict the future of any crypto coin/ platform but personally, i don't think Ethereum's future is all that secure. It shall be threatened real hard.

I am using MetaMask, it combines with Brave browser, till now I don't have any issues. It's really a good solution to store eth and erc-20 for me.
Lol, don't mention buddy. Brave + Metamask = Something great and awesome.
Anyways to the OP, personally I'm a fan of MyEtherWallet. It gives me the best experience ever and I love that. Metamask is good as well, have used it a couple of times and have encountered no problems as at now

Re: Do you think mining is still fair
by
acheampong64
on 04/05/2019, 20:54:07 UTC
Well, we should not that they say: everything is fair in love. In the same way we should know that everything is fair with money making and hence cryptos.

Mining has gotten to a stage where it is no longer a game for the smaller fishes but the bigger question is that, is this what should've have happened? In a way I'd say yes because we can't change that fact as many people are getting on board.

And the alternative, Staking (PoS), I think that could be the redemption as it helps everyone to get a fair share somehow. But as for mining. I don't think there's anything we can do.

Re: Should bitcoin be limited to 21 million?
by
acheampong64
on 04/05/2019, 20:46:40 UTC
Bitcoin is less of a currency and more of an asset class. Finite supply is a fundamental feature of Bitcoin. No compromise on it will be accepted.
Very good. That's the way I see the future of Bitcoin to be. Ideally, Bitcoin will become more of a n asset class and people will store their wealth in it (the store of value cliché) and then the many altcoins we see around may do the monetary job. Nevertheless let's not forget many of these ALTs are shitcoins and will need to die for better ones to come. I believe Bitcoin being limited to the 21 M will provide scarcity which brings forth incremental valuation.

Re: Is BNB the Next Bitcoin?
by
acheampong64
on 03/05/2019, 17:57:02 UTC
Binance is building an ecosystem with innovative solutions like the Binance launchpad and DEX.
BNB is used and supported and there is high demand for it. It`s price was increasing despite the bearish market.
But you know one potential threat and unfortunate thing, in crypto you should allow community self-hype. Binance on the other hand is utilizing its power as the best exchange to monopolize itself and give itself hype. We all saw what happened to Ethereum after it got those unnecessary hype. I hope BNB doesn't get to that. Nevertheless, Bitcoin is still the best when it comes to decentralization.
