Re: Master thesis on bitcoin, need some information from merchants.

I want to write my master thesis about bitcoin. To do it I will need help from one/some merchants. Depending if I can get more than 1 merchant willing to cooperate with me it will be interview or survey. I'm interested in knowing how and if bitcoin changed your revenue, if you had any problems with it, why you decided to accept bitcoin. Those are kinds of questions you could expect.
If anyone is intersted in helping me just pm me some basic information about your buisness like what are you doing and which country you live in.

Hypothetically, any interest in....deepweb market place dwellers?

"What if I told you, merchants do more harm than good?"

I didn't think about it yet, I am not interested for now, but mayby I will reconsider.

Confirming i'm not crazy 623W (240V) @ the wall with a total hash rate of 1.1TH~!

CRAZY!

That is for 2 Jupiters!

On 0.97 I get better WU, better hashrate and quicker flushwork. But I still get lower hashrate on pool, because HW almost doubled (~9% vs ~16% now)

does anyone know how to get the web interface to connect to the cgminer api correctly?  I just did an update from .95 to .97  and the miner status data doesn't display correctly.

Code:
Mining Status

CGMiner Status Running (Connect to CGMiner API failed)
Last Checked
Avg. Hash Rate
WU
Difficulty Accepted
HW Status

ASIC slot #1 50.0 ℃
ASIC slot #2 -
ASIC slot #3 60.0 ℃
ASIC slot #4 53.0 ℃
ASIC slot #5 48.0 ℃
ASIC slot #6 -

Thanks,
/cet
You need to enable CGminer API and restart CGminer

Would really appreciate it if anyone getting a miner with fans knocked off in transit mark those ASIC modules some way that if later there's one or more modules with failing cores it can be noted as previously had the fan knocked off or not.

Theory: if a shock separated a solder point on the ball grid array of the ASIC module but still makes physical contact tho not flowed-solder contact, it will make a somewhat higher resistance point under current and raise temperature and that raised temperature will cause cores with gates at the hot spot to have more errors.

would be easier to mark the ones that the fans stayed on... but since they bounce around, anything can be hit from any fan

Would ROFL except it made me sad.

I had 2 fans knocked off and I have 2 boards underperforming, but it might be coincidence.

Sorry for the noob question, Everyone in the crypto world assumes everyone can program  Shocked

I am getting my first KNC unit soon, I am not used to IP mining, Is it really as "plug and play" as I assume?

As far as I can tell, I look up the IP of the unit via my router,  put this in my browser, and click on mining and put in my pool details directly, and i'm done?

If I can see the stats via the IP address and the pool, Why are people configuring it to show on CGminer.

If you filled in your pool info on KNCsite it will be already filled on miner, so if you plug and start it, it will start mining. On web interface (you run it just like router options) you can change your pool info and on .96 you can see some stats + can add backup pool. People configure SSH to look at CGminer for more stats.

I will put it this way: if I had to bet I would never bet that they will ship by 15th. They didn't even mention anywhere why they stopped/slowed down prodction/shipping this week.

If I am in queue for October delivery, do you think it will be still possible to upgrade my rigs after people will get their 1st miners in September?
Also are there any estimates on how loud will colling be? Would it be possible to sleep in the same room with Jupiter?

My Gosh the Trolls are really working OT in this thread..    Kiss

Questiion..  I assume we will be able to run the Kcn miners headless?

I assume same

I would be surprised if they have a VGA or HDMI port!!! Got to be headless.
I want to watch how they mine on my TV. They could do add some music and visualisations so it will be more interesting.

Ordered a Mercury... Order # 31xx... Fuuuuuuuu!!!!!
So I'm guessing this means there's probably a minimum of 600 th/s worth of orders in front of me? I hope I've worked that out wrong
order # does not mean PAID order #... its much lower the actual # of paid orders

+1, probably at leat 50% of orders are cancelled or not paid
