has verium been in development for a year? From what I see development is only to new versions of roadmap? 
Yes, huge mining overhaul, most of work done without commits because it was being pieced together (wouldn't compile, would crash etc), after initial code development push of changes was done on branch 1.1, now 1.1 is master and commits are being pushed there. https://github.com/VeriumReserve/verium/commits/master
All OSes and architecture wallet builds for 1.1 are now being prepared, including the addition of windows 64bit
Any significant advancements using the 64bit build? Will mining hashrate improve?
Also should we prefer wallet mining over veriumMiner CLI?

Monaco, Centra, TenX... seems to be big rivals. Who's partnered successfully with Visa or Mastercard will be the winner.

Yea there is no way they will pull this off. Mining on a phone is just a joke. They'll probably just credit those people coins for having the app running and call that mining.
That's not true, it can be pulled off, just like Bytecoin is able to be mined by something as weak as a $100 android tablet. It just won't be very profitable, but it can probably be done in the background while you use your phone for other things I'd imagine.
Nooooo, there is no "mining" on the phone, they arbitrarily give you coins for running an app in the background. Read the whitepaper. It's a gimmick.
So to just get this right, you're running an app, it has to be on, and then randomly you're selected to receive a coin? Pure luck, no effort on your or the phones part, apart from having the app on? Will we get spam ads on top to really fuck us off?
Also you can play games to gain a few more coins.
As for the ads, i really hope that they will keep it as clear as possible...if it annoys people, it would really be harmfull to the project. I hope there will be as few as possible, or none.......
This is not true, technical whitepaper says it will be POW, cryptonight algorithm (http://electroneum.com/technical-white-paper.pdf). I am wondering how smartphones can compete with desktop/laptop CPU.

Thanks for pointing out this error!
The first example is the correct explanation- DIVX tokens will be returned to those who exchange them for DIVI tokens after 60 days.
Actually, based on community consensus we have chosen to burn them - a lot of early adopters have requested this outcome for the DIVX if we can't find a suitable use case for them. I will make sure the whitepaper gets updated to reflect this. This is a rather recent development and I assume that's why DiviDude was unaware.
Thanks for answering my question. I like the idea of burning tokens after exchange, it is definitely better than trying to find a good use case for tokens that are basically useless after and no longer connected to Divi network.

What is the reason of not accepting ETH payments? Why is it BTC only? Bitcoin transactions are slow and can be stuck forever if transaction fee is too small.

If this coin is minable on smartphones, what prevents miners from using CPU/GPU/ASIC to mine more coins than a regular smartphone and therefore dramatically increase the difficulty?
