calculate how many coins you can mint its simple:

coin amount / 100 x 3 = yearly minting

50000 FAIR can become 51500 after a year at 3%, on february 2 of 2016 minting reward half to 1,5%.

to calculate minting reward on age base:

yearly minting / 365 x age of transaction =  age base minting

50000 FAIR can mint after 21 days 86 FAIR

Probability is related to many factors:

amount of coins, age of transaction and minting difficulty you can check here for difficulty

https://chain.fair-coin.org/rt/connected-nodes.html

many open wallets means more competition and higher difficulty, the more days pass higher is probability, until you reach the maximum weight after 90 days.

Thank you for the explanation Jack, that was very clear  Shocked

Can anybody explain how does the minting process works after the 21 days? After 21 Days still say 0% Probability...

I need a Minting guide for Dummies since I've read a lot about minting in other sites but not sure even about the meaning of minting indeed.

Do I get extra coins after these 21 days?

How can I calculate how many Faircoins will I get?

what means staking?

Thanx a lot

Okay, seriously: why is this coin $2M?

There are many reasons, for example because there is an idea behind Faircoin and a motivation to promote fair trade and human values. That is the reason why Faircoin is $2M and soon will be worth $3M and will continue to grow because there are ideas behind Faircoin more than speculation. So the question is when this coin will reach the value of Bitcoin?

Yes, could be great. Anyone wants to be the key person to upload apps in spaces like this?

I could send him the apk files!

Well in this case there is not need to upload the app, is just a link to the Play Store, but it should be better if a member of Fair Coop can contact them through this link, will be easier for them to consider adding  the link to their website:

They are in Barcelona…

FairCoop is an open coop, and this is an open process, everyone can be considered a member if do things that are useful in some point.   Cheesy
So, lets see if anyone want to do this action  Wink

Done! Just sent an email with all the information to the website owners, hope it can help to reach more and more people involved in this nice project.

Fairmarket alpha testing version launched on World Fair Trade Day

Fairmarket is FairCoop’s online market, where all the products and services offered by members of this cooperative can be found. A key project in the new global economic ecosystem we want to build is being born.
It works under the concept of an “open cooperative”; that is to say, everyone can easily be a member of FairCoop. As a seller, simply by using this tool, building your e-shop  and providing your goods and services, you take part in the process and therefore you participate as a member of it.
The first alpha testing version of the Fairmarket has been published today, as the world celebrates World Fair Trade Day http://wfto.com/events/world-fair-trade-day-2015 With Fairmarket, FairCoop is contributing to an inclusive worldwide festival of events celebrating Fair Trade as a tangible contribution to the fight against poverty and exploitation, climate change, and the economic crisis that has the greatest impact on the world’s most vulnerable populations.
This is an open testing phase, not fully operational, where we need your participation and suggestions to improve the platform and fix bugs.
So, Fairmarket is now under collective construction, and you can already join, propose ideas and get involved.
Alongside this launch, FairCoop is also presenting the first batch of Bounties. 300,000 Faircoin will be redistributed through 15 projects choosen as priorities by the FairCoop community. Read them, and if you think that you could get involved, add yourself as a candidate and become part of the process!

Fairmarket will be launched in three phases. For now, we are in the alpha phase.

In this phase seller registration is already open and you can start setting up your shop, uploading your products and services and promoting yourself.
The next phase, the beta phase, will be when the market opens for trading, but it will still be lacking many of the features that are currently planned.
The third phase will be the fully productive one, when FairCoop will present to the postcapitalist world a full–featured marketplace to build the network economy that all of us deserve.

Now to begin, we need to build a strong Fairmarket community and you can get involved to make this possible.

Join the Fairmarket here: http://market.fair.coop

And join this forum to build Fairmarket together:  https://fair.coop/groups/faircoop-community/fairmarket/forum/

Just added Faircoin to payment methods in my website ( http://masseur-london.org.uk/ ), do you think this is the type of service I can add to the Fair Market?  And also, in case I want to convert my Faircoins in British Pounds or Euros any time, wich is the best way to do it? Thanks

Just bought a few thousands of Faircoin and I am a bit worried about security since this is my first wallet and first time I ever buy a virtual coin. The main problem I see, cause I use a wallet to keep my coins if I lose the data in my computer by any reason.

I am saving the wallet.data file in an external USB storage and I am just wondering if I lose my computer files, it will be enough to keep this .data file to recover my wallet with a new Faircoin software installation? Do I need to keep anything else?

Regards & congratulations for your work
