Hi,

I posted a question few weeks ago but no one answered. Is there any way to get more coins by mining etc ? I purchased some coins on Bittrex 2 months ago but not enough for MN . I would like to build MN but atm my founds are depleted.

You can only generate new KORE by either staking through the wallet or holding a Masternode. Staking through the wallet is only really going to give you max of 10 to 15% ROI when the difficulty has been sorted, so your only real option is to save up some money and keeping buying more when you can.

MikeMike

Hi MikeMike,

I'm trying to start a Kore coin masternode. I am able to follow the steps to 10 and then i'm stuck. I am getting an error 'could not allocate txin for my masternode XXX.onion:10743'. I was able to use the txn id to locate my 500 kore coin transaction in the blockchain explorer... So i'm not quite sure what is missing. Please help.

Thanks.

I had the same issue on my 2nd masternode, it was a bit of a faff to get it to work but this is what i did.

log in to the VPS

Type: ps aux|grep [k]ored

Press Enter

**Make a note of the 4 to 6 digit number after root**

Type: sudo kill **enter the 4 to 6 digit number here** eg sudo kill 5455

Press Enter

Type: rm -r ~/.kore/blocks ~/.kore/chainstate ~/.kore/backups

Press Enter

You should get a message stating something about not being able to remove and no such directory

Type: KORED

Press Enter

This should then start your masternode up again.

Go to the local wallet and close it down (If it is not closed already)

Reopen the wallet using CMD (Shift and right click the Kore-qt icon)

Enter into CMD: Kore-qt -reindex

Press Enter

Once Kore has finished opening and syncing, if you click start alias again it should say "Masternode Started Succesfully"

Hopefully this works for you also!

For those who have a pi, or are just super security minded and would like to. Here's how to build your own TOR access point with just a little bit of code and a little extra hardware Smiley

https://pimylifeup.com/raspberry-pi-tor-access-point/

Matrix

How about a pi masternode?

Yes you can do this however, not recommended to run it on a home network.

Matrix

Has anybody ever said "pi tor masternode" before?

How about "pi masternode" (did DASH do this yet?)?

Did you just invent the world's first "tor masternode"?

I think we are the Worlds first to have Tor Masternodes,
 pi Tor masternodes as well.

EDIT:
Were we supposed to make some cool sounding name to these achievements
like we invented the wheel, with a road map and cool paint by numbers graphics?

MikeMike

uh, duh!

Of course you are supposed to "NAME" your "INVENTION"

You said it best when you said that "those round rollie thingies" were not adopted for YEARS before they changed their name from "round roll-y thing-ies" into the hot new "wheel" brand round rollers.

The "WHEEL" brand rollers were so popular that they became synonomous like Kleenex, or Jet Skis.

So, since I was the firt person ever to say the following 3 words consecutively:

pi tor masternode

therefore, I must be the most qualified person to name your new invention (which is of course, not as groundbreaking as the wheel or jetski, but well deserving of a unique name nonetheless).

Lucky for you, I have the perfect name for your unique invention that combines 3 of the most powerful forces of nature:

1. The Masternode - DASH demonstrated that these are very functinoal and effective for funding a whole community, and PIVX and many more soon followed (you included)

2. The rasberry pi = the essence of decentralization based on the high degree of low cost decentralization it provides a max limit for theorists to imagine what MAXIMUM DECENTRALIZATION might look like (a zillion cheap/low-cost computers in concert unstoppably where even the most proficcient wack-a-moler would go insane trying to shut them all down)

3. tor = that layered onion injecting another layer of obfuscation way past the tipping point of ever being able to predict with any relatively positive degree of certainty who, what, where, why, and of course how much is rocking on the Kore chain

So drum roll please.

With out further blabbering, I introduce to you.  The world's first, and only:

1.2.3

MASTER-PI-TOR!

1.masternode
2.pi
3.tor

CONGRATULATIONS !

I don't know what you have been smoking, but you should probably lay off it a little.

Where are we at on the coin exchange?(new Kore)  Has all that been completed? Not sure where it says the total coins as of today. Any thoughts on bitcoin and altcoins." after Nov. 16 "

The Bittrex swap has taken place, the new wallet has been released and Masternodes are up and running. You can google coin market cap and the first link will give you the details on all the alts and their coins in circulation. The anticipated reaction after (or shortly before) the Segwit2x fork is that alot of money that flowed into Bitcoin in anticipation of the "free money" will flow back into Fiat or the alts. This is still speculation though based on previous events and may not happen this time around because of all the controversy around Segwit2x.

Half a kore a day off of 500 is 36.5% annual return.

With 40 Masternodes. You should really look at other coin with master nodes and their ROI with 40 master nodes active.

Dash has 4.5.k MN and provides 7% ROI. So with 45 MN Dash would give you 700% ROI.

Im just providing feedback, not complaining. Im sure devs will make adjustements so that we have more than 1k of master nodes and still have good ROI.

If the developers started allowing 700% ROI for Masternodes I would be investing somewhere else as that kind of dilution would be extremely detrimental. The ROI will no doubt be assessed and scaled with the growth of KORE. The current ROI is extremely good based on current uptake.

Masternode feedback.

No problems for 3 days so far.

with 40 MN active, only 0.5 Kore per day.

0.5 KORE per day is better than 0 KORE per day. Its definitely a step in the right direction and i'm sure tweaks will be made over time to maximise growth in the digital asset and the rewards for the community that support it.

An example of how crazy the crypto world is, Bitcoin pumped nearly $500 to just under $7500 within 30 minutes and then within seconds lost nearly all of it again. The volatility at the moment is crazy

Don't be butt hurt Mr MikeMike, without investors like me weither you like it or not Kore wont survive on the long run...I praised your dedication and efforts but let me bring to light the fact that multiple people called you a scammer and a crook, people doing their own research will find what I am talking about, the Kore coin was groing even without a lead dev and since you in it's alot of promesses and fail attempted to seduce the general opinion, I ain't got no feelings sir i just want return on investment and all your updates are cool but they are not making my wallet thicker...Deal with my kind of investors if you want to grow and become a worldwide force. Cheers!!!

I am not sure if you aware, but other than the "pump and dump" coins there is literally not a single alt coin that hasn't suffered heavily during this Bitcoin pump. Are you going to personally attack the CEO of every other coin you are invested in also for reasons they have not control over?

You cannot send your coins from the old wallet, that wallet does not work with Bittrex anymore.

You need to download the new wallet and follow the instructions in regards to how to move the wallet across.

After you have done this you can send the coins from the new wallet to Bittrex (although theres currently a sync issue that needs resolving)

I have the new wallet and I successfully sent 1 kore from Bittrex to my wallet and received it then a few minutes I sent the rest and I have not received them this was over 5 hours ago. I opened up a ticket with them and they said the wallet hasn't synced in 1524 minutes.

I sent 1 test KORE 24 hours ago from Bittrex to my wallet and I am still waiting for it  Cheesy

I spoke to  MikeMike yesterday and he is aware of the issue and im sure he and the team are doing their best to get it sorted.

Awesome NON Marketing job MikeMike and Kore marketing goats. Loving how you manage to kill the price after the release. Stellar job  Grin

Toilet paper volume for a shit coin.

CryptoBeto, without assuming that you are a complete idiot (although all the indicators point towards you being so), Bitcoin is at $6400 and almost every single altcoin has suffered massively.

Bittrex is setup to work with the new KORE wallet and not the old Korecoin wallet, so trying to send those coins to bittrex will likely result in you losing those coins. You need to download the new wallet and follow the instructions. its pretty simple to do if you follow those instructions.

Whats going on with the prices? After a fast pump the prices go down again...
I believe in this project, but this prices are really depressive.  Huh

It was probably some frustrated holders that had their coins stuck in their wallets for the last couple of weeks. Personally id rather see the back of any holders that are that quick to ditch their holdings once good news arrives.

Cheers MikeMike & team for all your hard work.

Someone stated the cost for a Masternode is 500 KORE, has this been confirmed yet officially?

Also, will there being any instructions in terms of how to set up the Masternode or anyone I could speak to in terms of setting one up? I am very keen to set up my first Masternode with KORE and want to make sure I get it right.

Thanks in advance.

Greetings All,

Just like you, I am one of the early users/investors.

The idea and product grabbed my attention about 3 months ago and I have been an open  supporter ever since.

I feel the product has a future and clear market niche.
However, it suffers low adoption… not only because of the early stage of development but due to slow market push.
KoreCoin is currently traded only on Bittrex and on top of that it’s been in maintenance for a while now – putting a break to the otherwise rapid ascend of the blockchain.
Hence a few questions:
1.   Is it part of the strategy to keep the coin from mass adoption and hence limiting it only to Bittrex?
2.   What can us, the community do, to accelerate developments and increase popularity of the product?
3.   Can the core team, benefit from outside support in development, marketing etc?

Good ideas deserve a stage and strong community support.

Raynor, you need to look back at previous posts. Korecoin is currently going through a wallet swap and rebrand to "KORE". its also just recently had a marketing event last weekend which has been publicised.

Unfortunately Bittrex discovered some issues with the new wallet and the team have been trying to fix them since, hence the inability to use the wallet on Bittrex. It is still possible to trade Korecoin on Bittrex, but the volumes have been low due to uncertainty regarding the time its taken to fix this new wallet.

I have owned Kore since the start. Back when the original dev was still involved and abandoned the project. MikeMike stepped in, invested his own money and saved the project.  Re: bittrex - they are simply overwhelmed with recent verification requirement changes and btc forks. Patience with Kore is rewarded.

I don't think anyone is doubting how long it takes for Bittrex to get things sorted, Its more to do with how long its taken the team to get this new wallet fixed. The longer it takes the more it feels like there are far more fundamental issues with it.  I still have not sold one coin yet during all this. But, the longer this goes on, the more nervous I, and I am sure others are getting.
