hi, can someone help please, my wallet crash, windows said vericoin-qt has stopped working,
please help me, thank you

Go to the AppData\Roaming\VeriCoin folder and erase everything except wallet.dat and vericoin.conf files (I made a backup copy of those just in case). Then restart the wallet. That worked for me.

Remember, DON'T erase the wallet.dat file or you will lose all your coins. Hope that helps. Smiley

Thanks ...it worked for me too...

Re: Mining contracts - the new ponzi

Ok maybe might be legit. The point is that only because the price at pbmining.com is lower than the one at CEX.IO doesnt make it impossible that pbmining.com is legit.
Maybe they really have some connections to a big mining pool which allows them to offer good deals.
So far every sheduled payment came on time.

I have experienced both CEX & PBMining ...previously i invested in cex and never knowing their structure of Maintenance fees...i mined there for almost 3-4 months and later i realized most of 30-40% of my mining profits were taken in form of fees... for which i blame myself for being so naive in first place for investing without understanding.

But now i have moved my investments to PBmining and i see the payouts are given weekly on time as committed in contracts...since i felt i'm getting double hashrate at the same price @CEX .

Having said above..please understand that every site does involve some risk...and i haven't seen any site (mining/markets) without risk...please use ur judgement to evaluate them and think twice before investing..

Future will tell if a site is offering Ponzi scheme or a trading market will file for bankruptcy

I never saw profitable mining contracts. It's scam. Undecided

I dont know if they really are scamming you. Use that word wisely. You know exactly what you are buying, the fees you are paying and the risk involved. Thats not a scam, its just bad judgement on an investor.

Yes, you're right. But they show you profitability, they make fake calculators which calculates thousands of dollars you will earn. But in fact it's all fake.

that by definition would be a scam (deceptive and misleading)

While Investing in mining, understanding the difficulty is more important (given it raises every fortnight for BTC)...if u are looking for complete returns in short term then it's a strict no...even if ur buying contracts or mining on ur own... it may take long time...depending on ur hashing speed to break even ur investments...may b months to come.. since i have seen many people asking the same question...how many days it would take to earn my investment back...which doesn't happen unless u are trading ur mining power..

Let sites/forums not fool u...use ur wise judgement before doing it..ask as many people as u can...on different forums...

well...i don't own pBmining...frankly...i invested in CEX.IO couple of months back and now my investments are halved..
I spent arnd 1.2-1.5 BTC to get 60GHS and now due to current price it could trade off all for 0.64 BTC

I saw good proposition in PBmining...since there are no maintenance fees though it's 5yr contract which i can cancel any time to get my investment back w.r.t wht ever i have earned ...compared to cex which was taking away.. 20-25% of earnings as fees plus trading of GHs which can increase or decrease...and given CEX adding more Hahsing in the name of Futures at cheaper rates...i don't see value of GHs increasing atleast not nearby.

To clarify my doubts I emailed PBmining Admin...he did said they included the margin in the cost per GHS which seems fair to me...Rather payaing fees on every block mined(CEX)..good to mine for 5 yrs without single fees... Though increasing difficulty levels is different dimension altogether.

Well this is all my exp ... not sure it might b the same with others.. Smiley

Hey fellow XXL miners...keep casting ur votes on Mintpal...

https://www.mintpal.com/voting

A good competition from GrumpyCoin & FairCoin... Due to recent abuse by bots ...mintpal allows only registered users who has completed atleast 1 trade successfully to cast their votes

A bit of pain...but i feel still worth it.

Thanks.
