You do not need an unpruned node to use the personal server. I've used it
with no problems on pruned nodes as small as 5gb

If all you want it for is your personal use/transactions, the Electrum Personal Server is easy to setup and can be run on a pruned node.

Why not just encrypt your seed with PGP, put the encrypted text in your will, and store the
password in your bank safe deposit box. You could even give the recipient a BIP39 password now, without the seed
so that only they can access the btc if/when the seed is decoded, presumably after you are dead and
your safe deposit box has been opened.

Here are a few links regarding rolling dice to derive wordlists. Keep in mind that even if you use the 2048 word BIP39 list, it may not work as a wallet passphrase because the checksum feature that is built into the BIP39 wordlist derivation function is not being used for "rolling your own". There is a utility on github called "force39" that will tweak a hand-rolled wordlist to be compliant with what BIP39 wallets will expect.

Thanks, that's good advice. I am a big believer in redundancy. For the sake of brevity in my post, I didnt mention that I have local copies also and none of them open with the
password that I have associated with the file. A gentle lesson that all the redundancy in the world won't protect your data if youre not painstakingly careful when encrypting it.

Yeah, I kind of suspected as much. I had a feeling the private keys that I exported weren't the same as usual, since Coinomi accepted them, but showed they had no funds, even after I had verified the related public addresses did indeed contain BTG.

As I said, it's only $130. I'm grateful after reading so many horror stories of people with large balances having other 2fa issues.

Actually, I do have the seed, but I can't at the moment read it. I put it in an AES256 encrypted document in my google drive, but the password that I have for that file in my local password manager isnt working.
Sounds like trying to solve that mystery is the thing to do.

Thanks, I've read many similar posts here, but all of the ones that I found were cases where people had lost access to the 2fa from trustedcoin.
That is not my problem......I  am able to receive 2fa codes for this wallet.

I just cant figure out how to workaround not having the actual seed words even though, as I mentioned, I have the private keys in a text file as well as the ability to still get 2fa codes for the wallet in question.

I have an old 2fa wallet with a zero BTC balance that still has BTG credited to it from the fork. It seems that I have lost the seed words, but I do have all of the private keys from the wallet
as well as the ability to get the 2fa code

I'd like to restore the wallet to a BTG wallet and claim my forked coins, but I can't access the seed phrase from electrum, and my BTG wallet (coinomi) wont accept just  the private keys.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Not a huge amount of money involved, about 2 BTG to recover, worth $130 ATM...but I'd like to claim the coins and move on.
