Note that this service is also a big advantage if you're a (small) business, hiring abroad: you can simply pay freelancers using a SEPA transfer, without 1) having to worry about crypto and 2) them producing a valid invoice.

Both are actually quite the headache for businesses, at least in Europe. There are quite a few rules on what constitutes a valid invoice, and it can be quite annoying to get a freelancer from a different region to produce a valid invoice. Yes, it sucks. Bureaucracy, yay. 

The "holding crypto" part is even more problematic: holding crypto is still quite complicated for businesses. You need to get your accountants and tax advisors on board, you need tools, etc. Of course it can be done, and it's not a big problem to most of the people in this forum - but it's a nightmare for all non-crypto businesses.

So Archway connects freelancers from countries that are difficult or expensive to pay, with businesses that sit on the overregulated side of the world.

weiß jemand wie Poloniex ein Margin Trade abbildet? Genauer gesagt habe ich einträge mit den Gruppen "Margin", "Borrowed", "Settlement". Was bedeuted was? Wo kann ich die Leihgebühren/Zinsen sehen? Was ist mein "Gewinn"?

Ich frage da ich mir nicht sicher bin welche Einträge für meine Steuererklärung relevant sind.

I've used them to do my full crypto history and tax return (>10k trades). CT still has a lot of deficiencies and bugs, but I am very confident that they'll resolve it. They just totally swamped since a few months, since every other crypto business out there (cf. Kraken).

In the end, CT isn't perfect, but it's certainly the best tool out there.

Die nützlichsten: eins zum Erkennen von fehlenden Ein- und Ausgängen, sowie eines mit denen ich den Margin-Trade Report nach Tagen zusammen fassen kann.

Ich hatte auf jeden Fall vor das ganze etwas zu erläutern. Laut meinem Steuerberater muss man's so einfach und verständlich wie möglich machen. Angeblich gibt's alle Bescheide auch nur unter Vorbehalt. :\

Was gebt ihr genau beim Finanzamt ab?

Nähere mich langsam dem Ende meiner Datenerfassung und frage mich langsam was ich wohl beim Finanzamt konkret abgebe.

Auf der Seite vom Steuerreport hat's ja einige unterschiedliche Tabellen. Ich nehme an dass ich die folgenden abgeben muss:

• Kapitalertragsbericht
• Einkommensbericht
• Margintrade Bericht (extra, siehe CT FAQ: https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/de/support/solutions/articles/29000018275-margin-trades-gewinnermittlung)

Was ich in der Anlage SO eintrage ist dann die Summe der Gewinne aus allen drei Tabellen? (Mir ist auch nicht ganz klar wie das im Falle des Kapitalertragsberichtes funktioniert da hier der gesamte Gewinn und nicht nur der Short angezeigt wird!?)

Wie sieht das mit den folgenden Tabellen aus? Sind die relevant?

• Bericht zu Spenden und Schenkungen
• Bericht zu gestohlenen und verlorenen Coins
• Abschlussbericht zu nicht verkauften Positionen

Ich hatte vor zusätzlich noch eine schriftliche Erklärung des Ganzen beizulegen. Wie handhabt ihr das?

Naja, ein Abo-Modell (Jahreslizenzen) ist ja in dem Sinne ein bezahlter Support. Das sollte es also geben - nur ist CT halt in den letzten Monaten viel zu schnell gewachsen und kommen nicht hinterher.

Ich find die Software ist es allemal wert und für mich die einzige Möglichkeit meine Steuererklärung zu machen. Die vielen Bugs machen es einem halt nicht einfach, aber ich hoffe dass die das in nächster Zeit in den Griff bekommen.

Jetzt schon. Verspreche mir nicht viel davon, die sind momentan völlig überlastet. Die letzten drei Bugs die mit aufgefallen sind wurden auch noch nicht gefixt. Leider gibt's kein öffentlichen Bugtracker, das würde die ganze Sache etwas vereinfachen.

Edit: Das sollte jetzt nicht negativ klingen, Dario&Co machen eine exzellente Arbeit. Es ist nur so dass die derzeit kaum zum Bugfixen kommen.

An alle die das Multi-Account Feature von CoinTracking nutzen: Passt höllisch auf dass man sich da nicht die Daten versaut. Es ist leider sehr unlogisch/intransparent wie die Seite bei meheren Accounts und Browsertabs agiert.

Beispiel: account 1 auf tab 1, öffne account 2 auf tab 2. Wenn ich jetzt einen Trade aus der Liste von account 1 lösche, verschwindet dieser aus account 2... 

Keine Erfahrungen oder Hinweise, aber halte uns doch bitte auf dem Laufenden. Das interessiert hier alle!

What is the 'settlement' exactly? What kind of data records does a margin trade typically produce?

Ich habe eine größere Diskrepanz zwischen dem was Cointracking mir als Bilanz auf Poloniex anzeigt und meinen tatsächlich verfügbaren Coins auf Poloniex. Ich vermute dass es sich hier um fehlerhafte API-Daten handelt - anders kann ich mir das nicht erklären.

Habt ihr sowas schonmal gesehen?

etwas OT, aber naja, vielleicht weiß ja jemand wie Bitcoin Futures behandelt werden? Wie verhält sich das mit der Haltefrist?

Kann ich zB jetzt Futures auf meine Short Coins setzen, um sie diese dann nächstes Jahr zum heutigen Preis zu liefern? Der Gewinn wird ja dann tatsächlich erst in X Monaten (also ein Jahr nach Kauf) realisiert, sollte also steuerlich möglich sein, oder?

I am here to say goodbye and share my short story in doing so.

I came to this Kingdom full of hope, having heard its praise many times from Count Binary. So up I gathered my belongings to seek my fortune in this new city of hope. Clever as I am, I even made pre-arrangements so that I'd have my own house ready on arrival, and all my belongings present - a well planned move, so I thought.

But alas, it was not to be: Upon arrival at your marvelous town I managed to fall into a giant hole in front of the city gates. A hole so big that I could not escape from it on my own. I tried many times to climb it steep walls, but the effort was always too much for my weak powers. I even didn't manage to clothe myself properly in all that time!

Many tried to aid me in my misery, fed me, gave me gifts, and some passer-by even raised me to Baron at some point (the King, maybe?). Thanks to all of you, kind strangers. However, in the hole I stayed. And here I am today, and I decided to end my misery. I asked trusted and always helpful Roopatra to terminate my estate, sell my land, pack up my things, so that I can finally be free and search my luck elsewhere in the world.

How frustrating! I had a brutal health challenge, and got it down to insignificant. But didn't manange to get it to none.
