Ok here is the picture of the copy of the shipping label. http://imgur.com/KCsj6. Should be enough evidence without revealing that much personal information.  Smiley

SHOPPED!!!

Kidding, I was able to use some sneaky method to derive the full tracking number from that receipt.

Short is, it is legit.. ;p

Haha there is no end to what the internet is able to do for us. Thanks for verifying.  Smiley

Haha man I didn't think it would take this much convincing. You guys are ruthless.  Tongue To add another twist to the story the tracking number from UPS never updated online. They did miss their guaranteed delivery time by about an hour and I should be able to get a refund for that. To further prove this is legit I do have a picture of the UPS shipping label and it shows the date plus ~$100 USD it cost to ship overnight. With auctioneeeeer's permission I can do a hack job of hiding personal information on the label and then post the screenshot.

Sold my single to auctioneeeeer. Half the BTC was paid upfront and the other half on delivery + he sent the processor. Besides some minor UPS shipping delays (not either of our faults) the deal was flawless. I would most definitely deal with him again.  Grin

GPUMax Passthrough
by
aseldon

Hello Everyone,

(If this is against Pirate's GPUMax rules I will remove the posting. I take no responsibility for GPUMax downtime)

I know many of you are on the waiting list to get a GPUMax invite. I am one of the lucky ones who was able to get in a few months ago. Unfortunately, I am a small miner and as such I am not able to take full advantage of GPUMax. What I am offering is to setup separate miners on my account and use those as a sort of "passthrough." I am thinking that charging a small 5% fee to use my GPUMax account is reasonable. Right now when purchases are running I make easily over 10% extra on GPUMax so you will still be better off than a standard pool. Here is how I plan to set it up:

1. Start with 1 user and their miner to make sure I don't overwhelm my accounting abilities (you may choose your own PPS price or use the price I do).
2. Setup a unique GPUMax worker.
3. Setup the backup pool. That way when purchases aren't running your hashing power goes right back to your normal pool.
4. GPUMax has recently added the ability to see how many BTC each worker has made. I will take the total for 1 week of mining (0000 Monday - 2359 Sunday) and when Pirate pays out on Monday I will send 95% of the mining profits for the week Smiley.

I would like to start with just one user preferably with a high has rate, 5 - 10 GH/s, to make profits worth my while. To start I can also do payouts more frequently to prove I am not a scammer. Let me know if you would like to take advantage of this or any tips you may have thanks everyone.

P.S. Here is a positive transaction with a member on the board for a large sum of BTC. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=83973.msg934860#msg934860

Re: Introducing the ModMiner Quad 840Mhash @ 40 Watts http://www.BTCFPGA.com

If you are running windows and Need drivers for the ModMiner Quad you can find them here:

http://btcwebhost.com/~cablepair/Win7_64.zip

Installing the drivers is pretty easy basically just unzip that file somewhere like your desktop and when you plug in the mod miner quad select to browse to the driver location or alternatively go into device manager / right click and click update driver and browse to the location

I'm sure you've had experience with this during development but does the driver for the ModMiner conflict with the driver for a BFL single? In other words, can they both be run on the same system?

Just have to mention that yesterday I received Dwolla funds from Mt. Gox. It took about 9 days but I have never not had my money show up.

I upped the baud rate and I am now getting U12.22. I was getting U11.73 before so I gained U.49. I am pretty happy with that Smiley

The package came in last night. Right now the single is happily hashing away on the 880 MH/S firmware. I haven't played with the Pi yet but I have no reason to doubt it will work. Thanks for the awesome deal!  Grin

Re: Locals in New Mexico

I live in Albuquerque.

I don't have any bitcoin businesses at the moment. I'm mainly just speculating. I did try and start a bitcoin mining company with some fellow software developers at work, but it ended up falling apart before it got very far.  Although I haven't made any moves toward starting another business yet, I have to admit that I think about selling games for bitcoins from time to time. (I'm an amateur game designer - you can check out some of my stuff at http://legendaryquest.com, if you care about such things.)

I would be interested in getting together with fellow New Mexican bitcoiners to discuss all the exciting possibilities that bitcoin presents.

Feel free to PM me. I'm in ABQ and I'm setting up a small mining operation. Only ~600 MH/S right now but 5 BFL Singles were ordered a few weeks ago Wink.

Does anyone know what time the payments are being sent out now? I just started using GPUMax again yesterday and got a payment for .01BTC but had earned a little over .3BTC. Just wondering if the payments maybe go out twice a day or something.

Are you powering your USB hub and router from your PSU?  Grin

Yep, everything. No inefficient, messy, bulky wall-wart PSUs here Smiley

Which adapters are you using to power from the PSU? Are they custom or can they be bought from somewhere?
