actually I have 148 P104s and my friend has done his upgrade from 4 to 8GB with posting his cards to flash. since I'm a CS student I want to find the way to flash my own.

lmfao, My friend bought the service from local dealer and the card need to be posted to the dealer and post back. in public domain, even TechPowerUp doesn't have any 8GB vbios of P104, and Btalk is the best bbs to ask ppl for help about mining. you even dont know how hard this problem is before insulting ppl, so stfu.
P.S. I've already got the VBios for P104, any brand without ASUS and GIGABYTE can open all 8GB mem I'll share it on TechPowerUp and give a link later.

flashed that file to my Palit P104-100s - and it's working, 8 GBs of RAM became available.
but for some reason with this vbios the card starts to throttle itself with soft power cap at 30-40 W, despite showing correct 180W power limit in nvidia-smi output. so overall performance is lower.
m8, I downloaded the rom you provided but with nvflash on linux, it says nothing changes to my current galaxy P104, did you use windows nvflash? just a nvflash 208828.rom worked? Just want to check this bios to check which works better.
upd. done with parameter -6 after nvflash.

cheers m8, i'm currently using HiveOS, which shows no diff with normal 4GB ver. I'll use a hardware power meter to find out how much more power it is using. thx a lot.

If so ROFL. How the mighty have fallen and might not survive. This tariff stuff just killed USA purchases I'm sure then coupled with this massive slide, wow. a 52$ LTC miner will make nothing and cost you about 130 - 140$ to get with tariff and shipping. Also the lawsuit just placed about hijacking BCH / BTHABC thing. That probably won't hold water but still with regulations coming, this might be an issue. It's still the wild west, but its quickly getting tamed. The golden days of mining will not be back but I think there is still a great mining upside in the future,.... just not 1000% a day.

yes, becouse they are makeing new and new miners, and i turned OFF my S9, becouse them make new better miner, and makeing new and new in all 5-6 month.
why i want buy new miner, if i will turned off after 5 month?
them want NEW 1.
if they will say - we dont make new miners after 18-19 month. i think this is good, for bitmain, for miner owners, for crypto owners, for Traders.

This is my first time to use your miner after reading all the comments here, they got my interest in using your it, by the way is my command line is correct? I am using 12 rx 570 4gb in 1 rig.. with win10 18.6.1 radeon, all cards are moded.
here's my command:

The command line seems fine. As the crash happens after the mining has started perhaps the overclocking settings of the cards are too high. In the first few minutes the miner will perform auto-tune as there is not explicitly specified -gt parameter. You can try the following things to fix the problem:here's my command:
PhoenixMiner.exe -pool mine.house:7007 -wal 0x3d046******** -pass x -clgreen 1 -fanmin 45 -fanmax 70 -worker ** -coin dbix -stales 0 -cdm 0 -amd -acm

My rig crash every 3-5 mins running.
* Start the miner only with half GPUs (add -gpus 123456 to start with 6 GPUs only) and see if it still crashes. If not, wait until auto-tuning is over (it usually takes less than 5 minutes), press 's' on the miner console window and write down the -gt values (they should be fairly similar if the GPUs are the same). Then try to start the miner again with all GPUs but with added -gt parameter (e.g. -gt 45 if the best found -gt parameter was in 43-47 range for the individual GPUs).
* Lower the memory clocks and/or increase the core voltage sligthly.
* Try using the non-green kernels (remove -clgreen 1) or try using the alternative kernels (-clkernel 2)
-proto 3 does not work with 4. starts with default proto setting.
alsos if press c on miner screen(reload config), it starts miner in dual mining mode. i haven't set up dual miner.

I'm using HIVE OS 0.6 now, all my AMD cards works like charm with Phoenix miner, but none of my Nvidia cards work with Phoenix Miner,

for sure I added 0 or 1 or value after them, but nothing works, cards can be initialized but no DAG log shows, hash rate stay at 0, nothing happened until miner restarted.

I have more than 100 D1800 boards running on my farms, and I upgraded their BIOSes days ago.
there are 3 BIOSes which you can download from their official website, the latest one is actually the VGA-display-only one, whatever kind of cards you plug on it, it will always output the signal by VGA, you should try it and it works like charm with KVM.
My rigs are on P104-100, P106-100, 5704, 5708, all of them are running perfectly with it.

I got several D1800s and cases, the stability of the rigs is hugely improved because of no risers.
p.s. if P106-100 is the card you choose to use on ur D1800, you should ask a new bios update from the seller.
