We’re pleased to announce that for the first version of the Aventus Protocol source code, released last month, we have done an unbiased multi-expert audit with Solidified.

Following the audit, the source code will today be deployed in beta onto the Ethereum MainNet; a major milestone in the Aventus roadmap.
The audit was carried out by Solidified, the leading technical auditing service for Ethereum smart contracts; their 150+ community of Solidity experts have previously audited over 40 companies (including Polymath, Melonport, Bankera and Spring Role), securing over 30,000 ETH. Solidified were selected due to their high reputation in the Ethereum community and wealth of experience.

That is not true. This is quite an inflammatory post. Anti fraud - avoiding counterfeits and fraudulent ticket sellers. If you look through some of our materials, you will see evidence that they try and fail. In order to avoid these dangers, we will give the token sale address through three channels: our #announcements channel on slack, on sale.aventus.io (which will go live during the token sale), and the ethereum naming service. Participants should verify that the address on all three of these sources agree before sending ETH to any address. Any source that says we will distribute the address in a different way is a scam

Half of the available token supply was sold in the pre-sale. We will post a detailed breakdown of the funds raised in the pre-sale on our blog soon. Those who already have participated will not receive any discounts in the crowd sale; everyone will have the same price of 92 AVT per ETH.

Eventchain is probably our closest direct competitor. One of the main differences between the two protocols is that EventChain does not allow artists/event organisers to earn any revenue from resale. Aventus is also an open protocol that any ticket company can tap into and join in the benefits, rather than a direct to consumer ticket company (though we will launch our own as a proof-of-concept). Our approach effectively will allow anyone to become an event promoter, while making sure that only tickets for legitimate events are sold, and only from legitimate ticket sellers (you can read more about the verification process in our white paper).

We are limiting the amount to 50 ETH to be in-line with why we are doing a white-list: to allow as many of our community members to be able to buy AVT as possible. If we allowed larger amounts, we would run the risk of the whitelist being oversubscribed with "whales". The contracts are set up to only accept the exact amount of Ether from an address as specified in the whitelist.

Thanks Cloudpost for the answer. It is the exact amount. If you would like to change your number, resubmitting the form will replace your entry. You should put down the minimum that you want to reserve on the whitelist.

The way things are set up, you will only be able to send in the exact amount of ether that you filled out in the form for the whitelist. If you wish to send in a different amount, you would need to do it in the public crowd sale. You could also resubmit the whitelist application with the a more specific amount.
