I am sure you can but I wish people looked at the bigger picture of crypto than just a quick get rich scheme. We are trying to change all of humanity and how people are being treated and used

Re: Will POS become the norm and replace POW forever?

I think there will be platforms that utilize a mixture of consensus methods. There won't be a one best fit consensus. Take MOAC for example they have a mainchain that uses POW while the sidechains have the option to use POW, POS or any other consensus. This will allow the developerss to determine what works best for what they are deploying

Re: What made you fall in love with crypto?

Because data privacy is everything! People finally are able to set policies in place instead of huge corporations and this not only will save money but also pay people properly for their data. I am currently invested in David Chaum's new project because he was a true purveyor in the crypto movement! I don't think this could have come at a better time than now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYGwODG3JGs&app=desktop

Of course they are doing this because they don't want new decentralized applications that will replace what they've been trying to achieve. There are even very notable people within the blockchain space who are trying to work with these companies to change how they run things and giving privacy back to the people. Yet of course, this changes course for how engrained data is being syphoned currently.

Highly recommend checking out this article on privacy and Facebook. Quite relatable to your posed topic: https://www.forbes.com/sites/rogeraitken/2019/03/20/is-this-the-proof-that-facebooks-ceo-mark-zuckerberg-wants-no-privacy/#2a55632f436b

Godfather of Cryptocurrency aka David Chaum's New Platform
by

on 21/03/2019, 18:12:56 UTC
If you don't already know who David Chaum is and his impact in the world of crypto, then I encourage you to start there. David first invented Digicash in 1989 which was the first form of digital currency. He's been a longtime advocate and educator on topics such as decentralization, privacy, cryptography and blockchain. I was really excited to see that David is coming back into the limelight with his newly developed full-stack platform coined Elixxir.

Elixxir is dedicated to facilitating truly decentralized payments and private messaging to consumers globally via the blockchain. The Elixxir technology represents a fundamental breakthrough in cryptography that enables performance and privacy on a global consumer scale. Quantum-resistance with immediately scalable transaction speeds enable the Elixxir platform to support development, distribution, and durability of truly private, secure dApps without compromising user experience.

Here is a great video that goes more in depth with this revolutionary technology: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYGwODG3JGs&app=desktop

I would like to hear your thoughts on Elixxir especially with the current discussions around data privacy and protection. Will we reach a truly decentralized social realm?

In terms of scalability I think it's limited as well as not an ideal platform for developers if they are looking for flexibility in their dapp. I would take a look into Ethereum or Moac in terms of smart contracts, TPS and flexibility.

It really depends on what the altcoin is and what they promise to uphold. Ampleforth is an altcoin that I am interested in because of their elastic supply policy that promises to keep the price stable while changing the amount in circulation. It sounds like it will be a good coin to both hold and use

I think that non-collateralized like ampleforth will stick around more than those pegged to fiat currency imo

They are already being used for payment but we are slowly starting to see more and more applications to help make the process easier, quicker and adopted by a wider population.

I definitely think that banks will disappear over time, it might be a while but banks are definitely a thing to go. Everything is moving online and we will have a different system of 'banks' maybe someone teaching another person how to utilize crypto lol

ya I defintiely agree with what you are saying and how we can't lose sight of the true purpose of cryptocurrency. Have you ever heard of ampleforth? it's a great project that I think aligns very well in what a true cryptocurrency should play out in the world.

Re: Which coin now you think had a good future

Like the title, what coins do you think will have a good future because now it's a lot of coins and not a few of those coins that fail
What do you think ?
What coin do you think will have good future ?

Seeing that there is already so much excitement around stablecoins I think Ampleforth will be successful in the future. Typically not a stable coin but is usually clumped into the same category. I think once people can wrap their mind around the concept they'll come to understand the promising future of it.
