I ordered one from coinminingcerntral, I'll let you guys know when and if it arrives, lol.

I ask .... but coinminingcentral not send you the certificate of conformite and all the documentation for the custom ?
Because i see with various asic miner the risk for reject at the custom if you don't have the certificate of conformite......

I've haven't had problem with them in the past, every miner I ordered made it through customs.

I've see ..... usually the customs not ask nothing, but when make the verify on some product, if your product is chosen for verify, the custom ask the certificate of conformite Ros etc etc, if you don't have this, your product it's send to sender, and usually you lost miner and money.
One time i've order 6 power unit from bitmain, the custom ask me the certificate, i send the certificate, but at the final the custom says: you don't have the RoS .... bitmain say to me who don't have the RoS  Angry
The custom have send back the power ..... the bitmain not refound....i've lost ALL Angry Angry Angry

if you interest, i've request at bitmain the image for reset from SD card.
I've tested the braiins SD image but the miner don't see the image...

yes, I think I have waited too little after each reboot ...... and given too much importance to errors.
I was wondering why with the default values, instead of about 625-6 Mhz on all 3 with bitmain, it starts with values like 631-658-675, I thought that maybe the firmware increases the frequencies of the best cards .... but it is strange ..... because the order is always similar (the first the worst and the last the best, strange not?).
ckpool results should coincide with the actual hashrate no? maybe after 1 hour of mining ...

Questions:
the default configuration of braiins set the frequency different for every card, Is this difference good to maintain to optimize mining?

what limit references should be used for overclock downvolt?
i don't understand why in my test braiins result worse than bitmain......

i've tested an s9i 13,5 on bitmain selected default hashrate with low voltage and result Gh/s 13560  W 1153 without error stable.

but with braiins Gh/s 13470 W 1170 with 1 error .... with 625 mhz and undervolt to 8.75.

Try ckpool (no register needed) and see if its working there. And tell us what pool it doesn't work with.

I've tried, i connect to ckpool.org but my problem is not the pool destination, i've tried with slushpool, zpool and multipool, sometimes connect....
Now i've copy braiins with dd into tf card, insert into the s9, copy into the nand ( my control board is xilix )
I set passwd, hostname and pool (only one, the ckpool " depool.ckpool.org:3333 " without stratum+tcp:// )
i start and work......
i power off and power on and work.
another time power off and power on and don't connect
if another time power off and power on and don't connect
if another time power off and power on and don't connect
says:

Code:
API connection status: CGMiner is trying to start but keeps restarting, maybe wrong configuration?

Last cgminer quit reason: No servers could be used! Exiting. (0:11:17, clear reason)

this's my cgminer.conf (who don't start)

Code:
{"bitmain-use-vil":true,"api-port":"4028","api-allow":"W:0\/0","bitmain-voltage":",,,,,","config-format-revision":"1","bitmain-freq":",,,,,","no-pre-heat":true,"api-listen":true,"multi-version":"4","pools":[{"_id":"1","url":"depool.ckpool.org:3333","pass":"x","user":"1NjwuT6NaWmQb7aMPGcYPQj97sQTz4nkA7"}]}

i've tried also with the 443 port but nothing change.
i've tried also add at the pool address the prefix "stratum+tcp://" but nothing.
How can i fix? i don't understand where's my problem...... help.....

Hi, i think i solved the problem.
i must be put the "Use custom DNS servers"
now working......

but IPv4 broadcast must be fill or not? i'm not fill..... i don't know what write.....

but I don't give up, I have to make it work ... I like braiins fw too much, I would have found an alternative solution using the fw bitmain, but it's still a worse solution.
I've see everytime the file cgminer.conf but i don't see error.....
I think someone tell me a solution, surely there's other person who have this problem.......

any chance to make a classic firmware for easy deployment ?

It clear by now that most of S9 work very well with this firmware

Yes, but when connect to the pool........

otherwise .......it's 1400w go to fly........

my conclusion i return to bitmain FW it's impossible work with this braiins firmware, everytime don't connect to the pool....... 1400w to the wind....

Hi, the lastest version don't connect to the pool ....... someone have the link on the past web version?

The only way I have installed is by using the braiins web image using the dec 5 s9 GUI
Running 100 s9 in a modified 20 ft shipping container, all modified to braiins now.
Switched all my s9 550 and 600 fixed mhz controllers to xilinx boards.

You've the web image of 5 december?
can you post the image or link?
Thanks

I've set this before:

Code:
cd braiins-os_am1-s9_ssh_VERSION
virtualenv --python=/usr/bin/python3 .env
source .env/bin/activate
pip install -r ./requirements.txt

after:

Code:
python3 restore2factory.py Antminer-S9-all-201812051512-autofreq-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz 172.16.0.134
Extracting backup tarball...
Invalid backup tarball!

It's invalid backup....

This restore accept only the backup make before from braiins ?

I've create an sd card with Etcher and i put the original bios (Antminer-S9-all-201812051512-autofreq-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz) into the sd card, switch jumper for start from sd and run the s9.
I've download the ssh version and type this command from terminal.
Where's the error?

Code:
free@srv-1 ~/Scaricati/braiins-os_am1-s9_ssh_2018-11-27-0-c34516b0 $ python3 restore2factory.py Antminer-S9-all-201812051512-autofreq-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz 172.16.0.134

Yes, but i wish to optimize the efficiency, with bitmain firmware i mine 9,3 Th/s with 706W eff. 0,76.
The difficult is come back to bitmain firmware...
I don't have a backup.... how can i fix this?
I've another s9 for make the backup, but there's the instruction only for create a backup without install ?
