One Asic Cube, two overclocked AntMiners and a few Block Erupters and a Rpi. I added an exhaust  fan to the Ants to help keep the temps down.  Room is now toasty warm. Pool show total of 480ghs. I have about 30 more BE's and a Jalapeno 7ghs now shown.

And why the fuck is there only 1 unit in this giant case?
[/quote]

That is not a Saturn. Knc Jupiiter has four modules, the Saturn has two.
They did offer a one module unit, I forget the planet Mars, Uranus or some such shit. They dont offer module upgrades,so I dont get the huge case. The OP may come back and clarify.

Its a McDonald's Bag from the Back

Leftover's from his last SR purchase ...

The bag has his off llne paper bitcoin wallets where he hides his thousands of BTC. Hide in plain site and no one will ever know. They done stole 3 of the modules out of his brand new KNC Jupiter, they missed the real prize stored in the McDonald's bag.

Make sure your power supply to the RPi is sufficient . When I first got mine I used an old cell phone charger and I had lost of strange issues. My best guess is tis power relate, either the hub itelf or the hub. Below is a link with verfied working hubs. The cheap ones might not have the juice to power many at the same time.

Hey, thanks for the tip on MinePeon, by the way. I realized I have a Raspberry Pi sitting in a box doing nothing, so I moved my Block Eruptors over to it. That's definitely the easiest setup I've ever done.

You are welcome. What USB hub are you using, and how many erupters. I really want something like the Anker, top mounted plugs and 10 ports that works with the Pi?
Yes, mine was just catching dust. I just got is as a toy, and something to get better at Linux. I have had it Pi ruinng as a Really slow desktop PC, a PXB with PBX in a Fash, a HTPC with XBMC and now MinePeon. MP is the best use so far.

Nice set up. I also have a Zotac mini. It bought a bare bone unit from Newegg. However I use it as an HTPC. I run XBMC and Plex Media Center on it. A Raspberry Pi is a much lower cost option, but your are limited to USB 2.0 hubs.

AAAAND the two 1.2A ports only give 1.2A when the Hub is NOT connected to a running computer (for charging of phones etc)!! Did you bother to read the manual?!
I have two of those D-Link Hubs and I would not put more than 5 Sticks in each of it.

No like most old computer geeks, I only RTFM as a last resort. Roll Eyes Thanks for your insight. I just got tracking info for my 5 gizmos.

Go to BTCGuild and follow their instructions for BFGMiner. It's much easier.

I would suggest 50btc or bitminter....I think BTCGuild is throttling new member to keep below 51%  MinePeon is what I am using works out the gate no problems.
Here are a pic of my first asic running a blistering 335 mega hash. I will be a btc millionare in a few hundred years. Shocked I am still running a gpu as well for a total of 930Mh/s. I have ordered 5 more block erupters. I will prolly stop there. I am putting most of my BTC into mining shares.

You are welcome. What USB hub are you using, and how many erupters. I really want something like the Anker, top mounted plugs and 10 ports that works with the Pi?

There actually is a great 49 Port USB 2.0 hub that works with the RPi, but unfortunatly that hub from Cambrionix costs a small fortune.

Be aware of always leaving like 0.5A headroom on a hub, so if you get a 5 Port hub with a 2.5A power supply only plug in 4 Block Erupter. On a 7 Port with a 3A power supply max 5 Sticks, with a 4A power supply you can use all 7 ports. This will help with stability and longer life of the hub.

I am thinking  that the D-Link DUBH-7  could handle at  6 or seven. 5 of the port are 0.5amp and two are considered charging ports and are 1.2 amps. So six or seven block erupter would not overload it.  I only have one block erupter now. I have five more on the way. So we will see.
Specs below.
Supplied Charging Current
Standard Mode:
All seven USB ports- 0.5 A per port 2
Fast-Charge Mode:
5 standard USB ports- 0.5 A per port 2
2 USB fast charging ports - 1.2 A per port 2

21 BTC Locked up
by

on 04/09/2017, 02:33:25 UTC
In 2012 i sent my brother 15btc for his birthday I totally forgot aboutt. I was talking abou the recent price rise and he, I got some of those. B he forgot the password, and has no clue as to what it is.
When I was mining I sold 100bucks to a friend and it just kinda came to me that he had some btc. Guess what he cant remember his password either. I set up his blockchain wallet, watched him write down his pass word, fold it up and put in his wallet.. I put his seed words in a text doc, printed and gave it to his. He is now clueless and cant find the docs or folded note. Total about 6.5btc. I also put all that info in a text file left on his. I rember he got pissy when we had that big drop when MTGox went tits up.

Laptop stopped working and it was tossed. I sold him the btc in Dec 2013. So 21.5btc lockup forever and Bitcoin is higher than giraffe  pussy. If I had any hair, I would bull it all all out one hair at a time

They are a scam. I deposited 500 in BTC several months ago. AT first I saw and nice increase in by acc balance. It went from 500 to 635 in about three months. Then my balance stopped changing no ups no downs. BTC was up 100 per cent, and not change in my balance. I requested withdrawal and it was cancelled. I got a email stating that buy balace was too low and I did not consider fees.

Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency?
by

It is, at the very least, strange to believe that Bitcoin either will or won't be replaced by another cryptocurrency. On the one hand, at the moment is going strong, so why should be replaced? On the other hand, it has already, let's say, forked into 2, so no one can give a guarantee of it remaining stable in the future. Devoting oneself to Bitcoin implies living in the present moment.

Re: bitcoin cannot replace currency in the world because price is not stable

Bitcoin is still very very young and of course it won't be replacing fiat anytime soon. But who know what will happen in the long run when the price stabilizes? Who know what will happen in a decade? Bitcoin will gain momentum and, very possibly, most people will be using it somehow.

Of course, not everything is as straightforward as that. Bitcoin is not tangible. This is the main factor why it will not be able to fully replace fiat money, whatever happens.

Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money?

It has certainly proven to be an excellent way to make money. Especially if you have been holding it for the last couple of years  Wink Anyway, I still think that even if you buy now and hold it for a while, it will still be profitable. I assume there is still growth potential for the price...
