I'm trying to make a python script that scans in real time all minable SHA-256 coins and shows the price per coin, trade volume, difficulty, symbol, supply and any socials. Does anyone know any api's I can use to get this data?

I want to skip nonces to increase my hash rate. I used to do it CPU mining and I was able to increase my hash rate by 10x. Which firmware file do I need to modify in order to do this?

You mean lying about the year? I don't think so I asked multiple people one of the guys has a really good memory. One said 2009 and the other said 2008/2009. I remember it was right after the E-Gold founders got in trouble which was around 2007. I'm sure there was people that knew about it in 2008 maybe late 2008. How many people do you think knew about it in 2008, assuming I had knowledge of it then?

I asked my friends when they first heard about Bitcoin. They said 2008 or 2009. Sometimes I wonder if I hadn’t been so paranoid, maybe I would have mined Bitcoin early, when it was worthless, and would have become extraordinarily wealthy.
They are lying to you, it is very unlikely that this is true. Also you being paranoid is not the only thing here, people have dismissed it for all sorts of reasons. If you were not paranoid, you would have dismissed it for some other reason then.

So in the end, I was early. But my fear of government intervention cost me the opportunity to achieve wealth beyond my wildest dreams. I see things differently now. I take risks.
That is good, some amount of risk is good.

It is easy to say “I could have been rich dayum I missed my chance bruh”
Yes, I also think that it is not good to think about this. It won't help you gain anything.

I asked my friends when they first heard about Bitcoin. They said 2008 or 2009. Sometimes I wonder if I hadn’t been so paranoid, maybe I would have mined Bitcoin early, when it was worthless, and would have become extraordinarily wealthy.

I have no idea how I originally found out about Bitcoin. It was a long time ago. I remember speaking with one of the developers many years back. I still recall the conversation. I was so paranoid that he might face federal charges for creating his own currency, I chose not to get involved. Out of fear, I deleted all the emails from that time. I didn’t want to be associated with it. My conversations with the developer was brief and is insignificant but to me it was something I've been fascinated with. I never expected it would become so popular. At the time I thought it was nerd money some guy created in his moms basement

It would be interesting to see those old messages again. Around the time Bitcoin was launching, the developers of E-gold had run into legal trouble. They faced federal charges. The U.S. government eventually shut them down, and I believed the same would happen to Bitcoin.

At the time, I was working as a paparazzo in Los Angeles. I was excited about the concept. I had was going to give celebrities Bitcoin logos to hold in photos, or shirts to wear. I never followed through, again out of paranoia.

I waited for Bitcoin to mature. I wanted to be sure it wouldn’t become illegal to own. In 2013, I heard about people making large sums from Butterfly Labs miners. That’s when I became obsessed with Bitcoin and mining. I started attending every convention I could.

Most of my friends still thought it was a Ponzi scheme. No one around me took it seriously. I bought my first Bitcoin in 2013. Years earlier, I remember people selling them on eBay, thousands of coins for very little money, this was before exchanges became common.

In 2013, I developed a payment gateway for Bitcoin. It was open source. It may still be in use today. I earned nothing from it.

So in the end, I was early. But my fear of government intervention cost me the opportunity to achieve wealth beyond my wildest dreams. I see things differently now. I take risks.

How do I get my original Bitcointalk account back?

Over 8 years ago my original account was stolen and back then I tried to recover it so they said just make a new one. Is it possible now to recover my Bitcointalk account that was over 10 years old?

Why would they allow the thief who took me original account to just keep it and I have to just make a new one? I think at the time I was working on a payment gateway it would be nice to have that account back

I'm literally just using my computer and that's it. But that's good to know thanks for the information. I'll just buy a faster miner over 600 GHS

So if I magically find a block with a slow miner since i never submitted a share I wont get credit for my work or the block reward? I mine for fun and I'm hashing more than a nerd miner and I never submitted a share. I mine to this pool and I'm hashing in the MH's which isn't anything but it's more than those miners you where talking about. What's the minimum hash rate to find shares?
My understand of the pool even if you don't fine shares you can still find a block? So regardless if you submit shares or not it makes no difference since you're not sharing the block reward with a community of miners
NO! It makes no difference to other folks but you MUST submit shares for a shot at the lottery. If you are trying to use say a Nerdminer (70kHs) and never are able to submit a share because it is a pretty TOY that is far far too slow, there is no way you can 'find a block'.

At a minimum, new work - a new share - is sent to everyone in the pool every time a block is found on the network. In response you must submit at least 1 share back to the pool before the next block is found (on average every 10min). Most folks receive and submit around 18 shares/min. Shares are proof that you have a valid miner that is doing work.
A block ultimately is a high share. The pool FAQ says 100GH minimum. You're wasting your time and the pool's bandwidth with 2010 mining equipment. Your name is also suggestive that you're running a botnet of CPUs mining, and if so - don't do that.

Finding shares with a slow miner

I built a script to mine on my slow computer for fun. I have never found or submitted shares to the pool. My computer is 100% receiving work and hashing away. Can anyone recommend a solo mining pool where I can adjust my difficulty and actually find shares while mining with 3 MHs? I have another question if I never submit a share to a pool and a miracle happens and I find a block do I not get the reward?
