You are getting it wrong. This is not BTC. This is alt. Whales with bots and hired traders are on Poloniex. ICN will be huge, I am sure in top 4, if not bigger, but you can not expect real pump without Poloniex. It just won`t happen. This is how this works now: Poloniex - huge pumps, other exchange - maybe slow and steady grow. So, no Poloniex, no huge pump. No Platform, no Poloniex. That simple. So we all have to be patient.

Kraken has been gaining popularity ever since they moved their headquarters from Europe to San Francisco, heart of Silicon Valley.
Poloniex is losing popularity, especially with new shitcoins like Pascal... it will eventually end up like Cryptsy.
Also Kraken's transparency makes them more trustworthy. OTOH, I would never leave my money on shady Poloniex run by shady individuals.
The release was always going to be first quarter of 2017. So until told otherwise, assume the end of March.
They were almost ready to launch on Dec 28, but were delayed because they needed to apply fixes suggested by test group.
Applying those fixes shouldn't take more than 3 to 4 weeks, unless they're rebuilding the entire platform from scratch.
"End of March" will be completely ridiculous, because that's long enough to build an entire fund management platform from scratch.
Hoping the Iconomi team would shed some light some the alpha testers.

The fact that they haven't dumped earlier; when they could have dumped; shows that the platform is impressive but just needed minor additional tweaks that ICONOMI team can fix by early 2017.

That was my first impression too!
The new terminologies remove any ambiguity with Securities language.
We could very well see ICN on Poloniex & Bittrex soon.
According to Coinbase's latest blog and based on this new Arrays terminology, ICONOMI Apptoken can certainly be classified as a non-security, so even GDAX will be looking at listing ICN now.

Once Fund Managers see that they can generate much better returns with ICONOMI funds than eToro funds, we could see a huge influx of money into ICONOMI funds, which means more Dividends for ICN hodlers.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Kraken join teams and merge with Iconomi. It is the age of acquisitions and mergers. Kraken sure could use a better platform, and Iconomi would benefit from the Kraken framework and volume.
and a shitload of dough to develop it in hand would be great for both teams..... maybe even just simple site and asset management integration even.

ICONOMI can and will go to the moon on Kraken. Kraken has the LARGEST BITCOIN TRADING VOLUME IN THE WORLD. (outside China), MORE than Coinbase, Bitfinex, Bitstamps or BTCe.

My understanding is that everything is on the Iconomi.net site, which will be easy to promote.

Clearly you don't understand what it means to be an ICONOMI investor.
ICONOMI investors will automatically benefit from ZCASH if it's successful, they don't need to move their funds from ICN to ZCASH.
If ZCASH makes it to top of Market Cap, ZCASH will be added to ICONOMI.index and ICONOMI.performance funds, whose profits flow to ICONOMI investors.
