I have once used that exchange and since then I haven't again. The experience was bad as my account locked out unnecessarily. Yes, I seems to agree with you. Most people are too drawn into altseason that they tend to miss out on other opportunities. With the nature of the market I don't think altseason is coming anytime soon thus it will be wise leveraging on other opportunities, either trading or holding BTC while allowing the market to have its course.

Why not? Decentralized Exchanges has proven by far to be the most safest type of exchange. I think any project getting listed in exchange depends on what the team wants, because I know there is no Decentralized Exchange that can reject listing by any project. You are right I must say. This  has mislead many investors into participating with such project while in reality they are yet to raise the funds they are displaying. This is also the reason why you will see a project displaying that it raised a certain amount of funds yet finds it hard to give appropriate audit on the public sale. This is one of the reasons IEOs in most major exchanges are better, as there is no need for this .

Most projects creates their thread during start of Public sale but once they finish, they cease to update it and yet they are doing well. In my own opinion, the important thing is, if the team is working as promised and if they are then no problem. On the other hand, there are projects without Bitcointalk Thread but yet they are also doing well, that is to say, the success of any project depends to an extent on the team.

Decentralized exchanges till date offers one of the best security, which comprises of both funds and personal informations.
