Lmao dude, who'd take a newbie account as collateral ?
I wanted to have faith in humanity and 0.008 seemed not so much, and it was a sum I could afford to lose. He also seemed very attached to his account to the point he used social engineering to get it back. Lesson learned for me, i never accounts as collateral anymore even from high ranking members. You all here seen what happened with Boeleens. Thanks to all who red tagged him.
But you didn't know he was attached to the newbie account until after you were scammed. 0.008 is almost $4, I've seen people scam for much less.
Well i hope antpool stick to its guns and doesn't run segwit code until core makes good on their promise. Core knows 2MB would gain >75% hashing power pretty fast, but they choose to undermine the will of the majority... satoshi would be proud....
The promise was made by a couple of devs at the conference. They weren't there with official Core decision making powers. Even if they do code the hard fork 2mb blocksize increase, there's no guarantee it will obtain "consensus" to be included in Core. Unlikely to reach consensus, making it a rather hollow promise.

It was a very tense login moment today to find out if I still had access to the account, must've been doubly so for those in a signature campaign.
Go to BTCjam, I hope that the people there have learned from their mistakes and are not that stupid anymore, not stupid enough to lend you.
lender BEWARE!
What do you say? Do you know who I am or you lend me money and I don't returnt it to you? Please activate your brain before open your mouth and if you don't know me don't write this stupid post. I'm new on BTC, but i'm not a stupid. If i have a project i try to finance it, because i trust in my capacity. So, if you don't like my post or my ideas, go away or respect me and people who trust in me.
You claim that there are people who trust you, perhaps you should ask them for a loan.
The devs who made up the names thought they could avoid prosecution by calling an IPO a different name, but I doubt it will work in the long run. As far as I'm concerned IPO, ICO, and pre-sale all mean exactly the same thing.
Exactly.
Add ITO (initial token offering) to the list.

Re: moderators or old members please clarify my doubts..
I dont understand shit, you needed some funds and he said he would help you and after that he was sending you messages from a tomatocage fake gmail account trying to impersonate him or what the fuck because your explanations are not very good and all the links are just the same, you accusing him
The user in question tried to use an impersonator account of tomatocage as escrow.
Where's the proof that the user in question is the person who tried to use a fake tomatocage escrow? Isn't it possible that someone reading the thread impersonated ash312 on Skype or wherever the accuser claims this took place?
BTC786 needs to show evidence. Is the BCT username ash312 the same as the Skype name? If so, how old is the Skype account? Does BTC786 have forum PM's from ash312 discussing this matter? Post 'em!
It doesn't seem like a very good idea to ignore too many people IMHO. You would run the risk of repeating something that someone else posted in the same thread which is generally frowned upon. Other users would have no way of knowing whether you did it to boost your post count or if you genuinely couldn't see their (the ignored user's) response since ignore lists aren't publicly viewable.
And it's not nice -- that's worse
Only meanies with no sense of humor ignore people, I feel you Blind. Biz you say how you shouldn't have to many people ignored because you run the risk of repeating something someone else has already said! If you look at every thread on this forum and I mean every thread, you will see people must do a lot of frowning because it is all repeated sometimes with different wording but still repeating like a parrot on every thread.
The "parroting" is mostly done by those with a signature ad.
They still have a nice nest egg. transferred to fiat bank accounts.

You could sell them on an exchange, unless you're trying to rip people off with a 25% markup or something like that. Or maybe there is no market for the duds in your possession.

Re: Terms which are crypto coin community exclusive
Mixers are really dangerous...and I think that their anonimity is well defended, as they could face anew accusation of money laundry at any time...
Thx for your reply. I get your point, and you are probably right. However doing nothing will not get me anything. Also if the site does not repay any coins, but only keep them, you cannot accuse them of laundering anything
Wouldn't they be laundering the bitcoins they stole from you if it's sent through the mixer?

Agreed, great feature for the forum.
There is no joy in mudville over this for the bitcointalk scammers.

Most would fold like a cheap tent if hit with a $50K fine. IPO funds already gone to hookers and blow.

Asking price is over $62,000.
Someone might offer half a bitcoin for it.

Re: Buying 50 BTC from reputable, transparent Euro seller
Is it just me or did Ripple Labs got away with it. FINCEN just gave them a 700K USD fine. That's slap on the wrist. If this was about Bitcoin, the accused would surely be sent to jail. Remember Charlie Shrem...
Shrem was accused of knowingly helping to launder drug money. Don't remember what he plead to but I believe he admitted to it all. Bit different eh...
