Hi dev .  Any new news in the coming month

Hi ducphuc01hp,

Work continues on version 0.15, android client, and a novel exchange bot including woodcoin (famex.trade).  Nothing really expected in the coming month that I know of, but I expect to be surprised at some point Smiley    Three year anniversary approaches as well as Phi Day when the reward drops below 1.618 per block.  Lets make these happen in style shall we?  Any suggestions?

Perhaps we should all switch back to mining Woodcoin on 3rd anniversary.

Hi,

Please have a look at https://cryptobriefing.com

If you are interested in contributing, please contact the managing editor, P. H. Madore (me): phmadore@cryptobriefing.com with a writing sample. You can also PM but it will lead to me asking you to e-mail it, and I don't come here that often...

We are mostly not looking to compete on daily news at this time. We are especially looking for deeper analysis, broader subject matter. Quality is king and we are receptive to constructive feedback. For marketing inquiries please mail Han Kao, hankao@cryptobriefing.com. For design/security/etc-related inquiries please contact peteheinicke@cryptobriefing.com.

Thanks for reading. One last thing:

We are happy to play host to one-time essays and the like from "prominent" individuals in the community as well, if they feel the need to speak on the upcoming potential hardfork and the like especially.

Thanks.

I am interested in operating a public node for Bytecoin so clients can connect to it without having to sync the entire blockchain every time they start up their wallet. Has there been a guide done on this? By the way, if you're reading this post, then please spend some more time at Bytecointalk.org because it's rather dead and that's where a lot of people go first for help.

Yes well.. i dont see the problem, one single card can do so much these days. Are you editing the blockchain by hand ? how is that even possible to lose blocks after a lot of confirmations (and new blocks)

I think i will have to implement some extra security feature on yiimp to handle that (to virtually double or triple the confirmations required)

It's possible if they are mining the same chain off-line. Then when the big miner goes off, they publish their longer chain. I didn't know this was still going on, and I defer to funkenstein_ to talk to the now rogue chain rewriter.

I accidentally bought 1 BTC worth of LOG ... anyone interested in doing an OTC transaction?

There's no volume to exit my position.

I have no idea what this project is.

You couldn't do that accidentally, could you? It's up to you what you do with your finances but if you love doing something hastily do it without regret. I'm amazed at the paucity of information and lack of public warnings from the community, they should warn people not perform transactions hastily and always double-check their own actions, otherwise there's a risk that somebody could buy more than they afford to lose and get into trouble or predicament which would trigger mental anguish or emotional distress in their head. After doing that, people tend to leave crypto. We as a community should stand up and protect those that do something in a hurry, especially if they try to conduct a financial transaction. OTC trading is not possible at this time. People have nothing to sell to each other. At least wait for another 3 months until LOG strengthens it's position and more people who are willing to trade come on board. I like how they handled everything, it shows that this coin has gained a lot of potential and capability to move towards new exciting changes. I do not know for how long this excitement will last but it's a no-brainer for me that this coin has a plethora of yet undisclosed features you might be interested in seeing. Yes they have something to show. 1 BTC worth of LOG is nothing, it's dust, forget about it and move on, or donate your money to the development of LOG which is a great way to show your devotion and loyalty towards a an open-source community-driven project.

The fact is that the price he bought at was likely not higher than .00002777, which is the price you'd sell down to if you were to drop a coin's worth logs today. So I think if he wants to he can properly exit via C-Cex today.

There should be enough liquidity to exit at a profit now, but you may want to hodl for the long run.

In other news..   only related to woodcoin tangentially through the logarithm function, I made a fun little program to determine your next log-birthday.

http://github.com/funkshelper/log-birthdays/

Here's a sample output, as applied to woodcoin:

ENTER BIRTHDATE OF OBJECT: (as format Jun 18 2009) > Oct 21 2014

Sell on Localbitcoins for cash, or for a cash deposit to your bank account. Then you can have cash in your hand as soon as the dust settles. Personally I use Paypal, and have never had a chargeback, and since I have the paypal debit card I'm able to get cash minutes later.

just read the 5 last pages near https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=831003.msg15671896#msg15671896 and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=831003.msg15731462#msg15731462

i dont had my answer and i dont want to promote possibly hacked block chains

What are you on about? As Funkenstein explained, there are a few people with an awful lot of hash who occasionally mine Woodcoin, and when they do they leave the chain with a very high difficulty. I've also seen one miner manage to steal blocks from these same miners by waiting until they've finished mining, and then publishing a longer chain. I'm not particularly concerned about your pool leaving. I'd rather we stay in a state where pools are unnecessary, but I really resent the misuse of the term "hacked."

even at 1 block a week average he could go several months without a block easily. so don't be financially responsible Wink start small and join a pool, grow with experience - that is a much better way for a small miner. if you start investing 200k with no knowledge of details you will get burned.

I'm still not sure what kind of scratch he can actually raise. I'm setting the bar reasonably high to see how comfortable he is getting in at that price. Clearly if we will be more successful mining to a pool, we will do that.

Re: What does a President Trump mean for Bitcoin?
by

Now that he has appointed a known bitcoin enthusiast as his economic development officer (or something like that Undecided ) maybe he will have a different point of view on it.
You know that other bitcoiners seem to try really hard to get others to use it and involved and turn them over to the light side and leave the dark side, the fiat currency, for good! Smiley

Trump doesn't believe in the notion of a global currency.  He is a nationalist.  Here is a brief purview of his stance on a global currency: https://youtu.be/Y-uRRXa3rMs?t=2695  I think that it will just be a matter of time before he makes a move against bitcoin.  Bitcoin does not fit into his worldview.

Yep.

antpool has 16.7% of the network with 550peta

works out as about 25peta if you want a good chance of 1 block a day

although luck plays a hand in it and having more hash increases the chances.
but without getting too detailed in all the if's and buts/ luck/chance/competition... if you stick to say 25peta

it works out as about 1800-2000 bitmain s9 asics(13.5th).

.. based on very simplified quick maths. as there's no point trying to do accurate maths because there is no 'guarantee'.
like i said its based on averages, luck and chance.

Thanks.

I consulted elsewhere and we determined that to hit 1 block a week, the real minimum is around 75 bitmain s9s.

The guy I'm asking for's goal was only 1 block per month, however, but I won't give him advice at any lower than 75 bitmain s9s with proper upgrades as necessary and no expectation of actual earnings.
