so what happened to Deans plans to sell the PRC?
I´m reluctant to play/invest there if he is still putting the site
up for sale. I would be more willing to play there if I knew that
he would continue developing the site / adding new features.

Thank you for clarifying your future plans.

Okay a lottery with a house edge greater than 1% and a progressive jackpot would be cool.  That would cause the jackpot to grow.

How about if we just let players make multiple bets at the same time?

For example, put 99% of their stake at 49.5%, and the other 1% at 0.0001%. The payout on the 49.5% part will be only slightly lower than normal, but there's a tiny chance of them 'hitting the jackpot'.

We don't need a separate jackpot pool, it's a regular bet, with a regular 1% house edge, and so the investors will bankroll it just like they bankroll every other bet.
..

that is the most elegant solution so far in my opinion!
(assumed that you find a way to implement this without cluttering up the beautiful, simple just-dice user interface)

any plans to offer odds for the running women world cup?
I know female soccer isn´t that popular, but it´s still a world championship and it would probably attract more
betting volume than some of the soccer leagues that are currently running during the summer.

I think the main problem is the missing utility of CLAM outside of just-dice.
If dooglus gets bored with crypto in 2 years and decides to close just-dice (remember, it already happened once  Tongue )
the CLAM price will drop to zero.

Apart from this I don´t see any real problems with CLAM.
And in spite of my doubts regarding longevity of CLAM I´m invested at just-dice and will continue to do so.
Maybe I´m betting that dooglus will continue running the site for a few more years  Grin

i don´t think that they are scammers - they will pay out all funds  Wink
I´d rather guess that they haven´t met their expectations (not enough turnover, no income due to commission-free sportsbets) and
therefore aren´t coming back as fast as announced.

However I wouldn´t be surprised if they will come back and prove all of you wrong.

We are very sorry for the delay of detection of deposits and the delay of some cashouts as well.

i sent back the 120 mBTC you credited to my account to the BTC address your FairlaySupport account mentioned in his pm to me.
However the cashout still seems to be delayed.

(i sent another pm with a screenshot to the FairlaySupport account)

Hi blueparrot, we manually sent you 120mBTC while we look into this matter.

thank you  Wink

However it is starting to get even more weird!

I see your 120 mBTC credit on the blockchain and it has already 3 confirmations.
However I still don´t see the mBTC in my account.

now the deposits have been credited to my account!
(my original deposit and the 120 mBTC you have deposited).

Will you deduct the 120 mBTC from my account or should I withdraw them and send them to one of your wallets?
(if you opt for the 2nd, please tell me the address)

any plans on offering more coding examples for the API?
(e.g. a simple application that inserts a new open prediction for 1 BTC in front of the current best offer in the order book at 0.01 better odds for every market from category "xyz")

Any additional API user should be good for your service because it would increase liqudity... besides, you´ve posted that
you may charge for API fees in the future so this may become a viable income in itself  Wink

I´ve also discovered your API browser but only get the error message:
"Unable to read api 'outcome_names' from path https://www.fairlay.com/api/browser/api-docs/api/v1/outcome_names (server returned undefined)"

So, based on your suggestion we have added more examples to the api and you can now request an API token in the user interface. Have a look: https://www.fairlay.com/api/
If there are any questions we are happy to help! We would be excited if the spread between buy and sell would become even smaller than it is right now!

great, I didn´t think you would offer more API examples that fast!  Wink

However I have an unrelated problem. I made a deposit today and the mBTC aren´t showing up in my account in spite of already having 3 confirmations.

Is there a lay liability thing? I just placed a lay bet, and it has odds of a little over 1.30…i was wondering what my liability would be on that?

Thanks!

for a 10 BTC bet your liability would be 3 BTC  Smiley

@fairlay
Can you pm me your odds provider? I find it really weird that they seem to offer odds for quite exotic baseball leagues (korean baseball  Grin ) but don´t provide odds
for the russian premier soccer league.

You should think about offering odds for Russian Premierleague?
Today are several matches and you offer no odds.

I think Russian soccer would be more popular than for example soccer from Denmark
(which you are currently offering).

Pinnacle should have odds for Russian soccer as well.

Additionally I think having 2FA to secure your account would be great.
I know that some people don´t have an account at all, but some prefer the
account solution and would be for sure interested in enhancing account
security.

Re: Neteller now is using Bitpay to accept Bitcoin as deposit method - Big news!
by

patt0 but to betfair or other similar site, you can deposit and later withdraw, without play money at least one time?

I never did that but I'm sure you can. What you can't withdraw without "playing" first is bonus money from any promotion they might have, but I'm sure you can withdraw the money you just deposited. (the only "restriction" like I said before is that you must use the same method you previous used to deposit. If you deposit let's say $30 with neteller you must withdraw them from neteller and not by any other method)

This is wrong. Betfair and most other sites require you to make at least a bet (or multiple bets) with the size of the deposit. Some bookmakers even require you to turnover your deposit
multiple times (pinnaclesports.com).

The reason for this is the deposit fees that Betfair has to pay to the e-wallet providers like Neteller and Skrill.
If you would deposit and withdraw without playing they would make a guaranteed loss due to the above mentioned fees.

Funds deposited using Bitcoin are available immediately for transfers to merchants or other members. However, funds deposited using Bitcoin are not available for purchases or withdrawals using your Net+ Prepaid MasterCard®.

I thought that this would be possible after waiting 7 days? Have they really changed it or is this blog post mistaken?

However I have another weird bug.

A swap was about to expire 5 minutes ago and everything seemed to be working fine. But at the expected closing time (it was a 30-day swap) the swap isn´t released and instead
the "expire in" display is starting to count up again.
(before expiring it was counting down and now it started to count up...)

Of course I have auto-renew disabled.

Has anyone ever had this weird bug before? When is the money from the swap gonna be released to my account?
(I´ve used bitfinex for over a year now and never had this happen before)

current display a few minutes later:
"expire in 9 minutes"

Had the same thing some days ago. It's a bug most likely caused by daylight saving times. I've posted about it here within the last 14 days.

It's actually -9 minutes what you're seeing (but displayed as +9) and counting to -60. I'm 99% sure that you'll have the money back in 51 minutes (counted from your 9 minutes)

You were completely right about everything, the swap was released exactly one hour later.
In hindsight I should have thought of daylight saving times myself  Grin

I've been having fairly consistent problems accessing bitfinex for a while now, is this true for everyone?

Yes me too. But If you wait the URL is becoming like this "bitfinex.com.com" it's weird.
Access it from a search engine (Google or whatever).
I will mail their support.

I have the same weird error where it changes to "bitfinex.com.com"  Huh

However I have bookmarked Bitfinex now and when I try to access the website using
the bookmark it works flawlessly.

We are aware of this issue and have fixed it. If you typed in bitfinex.com it would redirect to bitfinex.com.com. If you typed in https://www.bitfinex.com there weren't any issues, that's probably why the bookmark wasn't having any issues.

thank you for fixing it!
