are there any release notes as to what has been updated? 2.06 is stable for me I dont want to jump up just yet if the updates arent critical.

thanks

It's a support update for the new hashboards shipping now. Will have the images posted on GitHub later.

Is there any details regarding this new hashboards? Are these more efficient? Any chance to be able to upgrade hashboards of older machines?

Is there anywhere where we can find release changes for the new versions?

Hello everyone.

Is there any way to stop Apollo II from running the fan ultra loud when the miner starts/stops? I have been taking it with me to meetups to show people how mining works, but every time I turn it on it just get lot of unwanted attention. Would be great if it could just start silently. Is it possible?

Thanks!

Unfortunately not with the current controller, its actually a safety feature in case the controller dies...fan speed will go high to prevent board overheat

Thanks for clarification. Not very good for user experience as it is now, hopefully there will be better way to achieve this in the future.

Hey guys. Is there any problem with having the miner sitting on its side? It does seem to cool better when the bottom have more airflow.

Hey everyone.
Very happy with my Apollo 2 so far. Only thing I'm a bit struggling with is to get node to connect to more peers. Any workaround? I did add quite a few through addnode=x.x.x.x:8333 but still it doesn't seem to connect easily to more than 10 peers.

Any ideas how to get more peers to connect to the node?

Also I was wondering whether there shouldn't be field or some way to show when one finds block! Otherwise it could take long time before you realize you actually found one.

Thanks

Are you fully synced?  When I was syncing it would max at 10 for me but once fully synced I'm getting the 32

Yes. Fully synced and solo mining. Max connections set to 40, but only connected to 11.

Edit: Got this resolved. Last night when I added nodes I also changed max connections and now when I looks to bitcoin.conf in the node it didn't actually addnodes at all, even tho it was showing in the gui Ui so I have added them manually and now I have 20 connections at least.

Unfortunately it seems there is some kind of bug with my configuration. Every time I restart the miner it takes first addnode=x.x.x.x and populate with same ip address all other entries in my bitcoin.conf. When I manually change bitcoin.conf and only restart node it does work fine and connects to all ips, but as soon as whole miner get restarted it does again wipe all ips in .conf except the first one. Not really sure what is causing this.

Hello.
Thinking of replacing the fan before trying to overclock higher, what RPM you think the fan should have to be able to cool down the unit efficiently?

If youre getting 1th then you must have overclocked it already.

Running on 775Mhz at the moment. Only very small overclock. But was wondering what would be the maximum people can get from those.

Hey guys.
Just received my miner today and got it up and running hashing sweet 1.05Th/s so I though I say hi to you here!
Do you try to overclock the miner at all or is it not worth it?

Cheers

Sorry guys I didn't made myself clear I'm trying to get USB gekko Science, not the R606. They are very hard to come by those days for any reasonable price.

Hey guys any idea where I can get few of those with Worldwide shipping? Used to buy them off Amazon, but seems like stock has dried out there.

Do you reckon that 60W Sipolar brick should manage 4 NewPacs, or is it not enough?

Do you know how the USB bus is arranged on the Orange Pi? On the Raspi3 the usb bus and ethernet were linked so caused problems. Also you would need to find out how the power is spilt up on the sipolar hub. I know you said you have tried different ports but if you dont know how its split then you could be pushing a regulator too far and its dropping the stick.

No I don't know, but will try to find out. Also I don't know where to look for sipolars usb bus, I was expecting to receive details in the package with shipment, but that didn't happen. Wasn't it made by someone here I could contact directly?

What do you guys to run those mining farms? Raspi4?

What OS are you running on the pi? What version of the Orange Pi is it? You dont need to touch the voltage pot on the newpacs. You should be able to get 500m on stock voltage.

Orange Pi 3, Armbian Bionic 20.02.1, Sipolar USB 10 ports 60w, Arctic Cooler active fan.
I seem to be unable to even get second stick to run at 500Mhz. Always downlocks to 470-85Mhz, if I connect three one is dropping with 0 chips found. The other two seem now stable at 450Mhz.

Hello. It is close to impossible to get multiple Gekko Science miners to work at 500Mhz! Got orangepi, gekko usb brick and 3 stick by now, to get each to work at 500MHz takes quite a lot of time, but when I plug them in all. No chance! Resetting, down clocking, crashing. Even tho I didn't expect any return from any of this mining, I really though  I can just get couple of those to run stable..but no not really.

Quite disappointed after days of voltage tweeking and moving stick by stick all around the hub...
Feels like cardinal waste of money trying to have small usb mining farm...Yes ofc I know 500Mhz is high..

So at the end with gradual increase of Mhz and tuning of voltage I managed to get both miners to run on 500Mhz around 115Gh/s stable. Do you guys reckon there is more to be gained or should I be happy with it as it is now?

Thanks

I have the same USB brick and also two sticks. I had similar problem in beginning, but after some tweeking got both running in 450Mhz. On one of the sticks I had to gently move the voltage (turning the small screw) and gradually found the setting it was happy with to run stable. What Mhz you clocking your to?
