9000Coin Yet another litecoin clone with over 9000 coins
I wanted to see if I could build my own crypto coin and so far I have produced a binary Grin. It is basically just an experiment, although I probably will keep it running. I have CPU mined some blocks but I uploaded this asap.

The specs are:
  • scrypt
  • 2.5 minute block targets
  • subsidy halves in 450k+ blocks (~2 years)
  • over 9000 total coins
  • 0.01 coins per block
  • fast retarget difficulty

source: https://github.com/rootbox27/9000coin
binaries: https://mega.nz/#F!WVwCTAQI!9xQifIS2G4I5R0w-R7-FDQ
Virusscan for the win32 binary: https://virusscan.jotti.org/en-US/filescanjob/hoksx41jwg

There is no pool yet.

With thanks to Learncoin and superking123

Bitcoin rewards early adopters with cheap coins. I consider you an early adopter when the price per microBTC is < 1 USD.
I'm an idiot for selling my coins, you should almost never sell your coins. Also it's not really a stock, i don't treat other currencies as stock, and i have never in my life experienced such a gain as i've had with bitcoin, the value has gone up 6666,6 %.
For some reason, Bitcoin seems to be sort of stable for a period of time and then tends to go hyperbolic for some reason, i think this will happen again in the near future until it breaks through or slowly goes stable again. The network might even fail for a while because of its popularity. It's slowly sinking in what this specific crypto has to offer.

Stop trusting exchanges. it doesn't make sense.
I like what bitcoin.de is doing much more; they are not storing $$ or €€, its just a marketplace and you pay the other person directly.

That's far from a perfect system. It's a great site but we also want(not need) to trade in the the centralized places. Like an escrow where you don't have to directly deal with thousands of peoples bank accounts and don't have to be responsible for checking who you're dealing with. But WTF. I have never heard of anything like this. Like the DHS seized the Bank of America's or UBSs account.

Good point. I suppose the weakest element in the encryption chain is the human.
