🏆 If You're New to Crypto Here's Some Stuff I Wish Someone Told Me Early On
by
breske
on 25/08/2025, 21:43:53 UTC
⭐ Merited by albon (1)
Been in crypto for a bit now not a pro, not rich, just someone who’s been around long enough to make some gains, lose some coins, and facepalm at my own mistakes
If you’re just getting started here are some real advice from someone who’s been through it

Bitcoin has always 8 Decimal and the smallest fractions is 1 Satoshi = 0.00000001 BTC
Since bitcoin was born most of people have lost their access to their bitcoin by not saving and securing their secret seed don't be one of them!
Pay attention to  Security > Everything
Use 2FA don't click weird links NEVER give out your seed phrase no one legit will ask for it not support not admins not even your dog

- Don’t leave coins sitting on exchanges
Dont get fooled from Earn Daily Rewards or Airdrops that are worth cents
Seriously if the exchange goes down gets hacked, or decides to “freeze withdrawals” your coins are toast
THIS HAS HAPPEN MANY TIMES ON THE PAST IT CAN HAPPEN TOMORROW TOO

Get yourself a wallet write down your seed phrase store it somewhere safe You’ll thank yourself later
You can use Bitcoin Core or Electrum  https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet?step=5&platform=windows

- Learn the basics
You don’t need to become a developer, but it helps to know:
What is a wallet?
What’s the blockchain actually doing?
What is mempool?
Trust me it makes everything less intimidating
https://mempool.space/

- You can buy a tiny bit of BTC
Most of people say now days that bitcoin is only for rich which is a big mistake
You don’t need to buy a whole Bitcoin you can throw in $10 and just learn how sending/receiving works don’t let the price scare you off

- Ignore any Email related to update your Wallet
most of people lost their bitcoin by clicking malware links or phishing

- Be careful from Drainers
there are website that ask you to connect your wallet to get an Airdrop (free coins of an project) 99% them are scam
once u connect your wallet your Coins will be gone ( even if you have 0$  but you add balance to that wallet after few months they will be gone )
Read more about Drainers here https://usa.kaspersky.com/blog/what-is-a-crypto-wallet-drainer/29713/

Use 2 wallets  1 Main for Long term which you only store your Bitcoin as an invesment and dont touch till you are a millionaire
and the 2nd wallet for any payments or thing u need daily

That’s all I got just wanted to throw this out there in case it helps someone dodge a few mistakes I made early on
Anyone else got tips for the newer folks? Drop ‘em below

Can I find my bitcoin private key?
depends on what you have saved from your private key
If you know only the address then NO

but if you have a part of your private key there are chances that you can recover it all with different tools
give more info what you have saved ( don't share your private key )

Re: Transform your losing trading strategy into a profitable one
by
breske
on 23/08/2025, 16:37:16 UTC
Here is a simple trick that can help you turn your losing trading strategy into a profitable one.

First, you need to understand that financial markets (stocks, cryptocurrencies, forex) only move in two directions: they either go up or they go down. In reality, this is the only thing we can be certain of in the markets — they are either bullish or bearish.

So, if you already have a losing trading strategy, you can make it profitable by intelligently reversing your entry zones. Simply try doing the opposite of what you usually do. Take the time to rebuild your strategy and learn how to identify liquidity.

Is this for real seems the best advice I ever got how could I not think about this strategy LOL
We all know that its Up or Down and it not that easy to know which way will market go in reality ur post is useless better lock it or delete it

Re: Is Trading also addictive?
by
breske
on 20/08/2025, 17:49:48 UTC
For over a year plus I have been an active trader's mostly I trade on derivative market, oh yeah the most risky form of trading, since you can blow off your balance to liquidation if the market goes against your position, but that is not why we are here with this topic, but let dive into it straight away.

Future derivative trading is liken to gambling since both activities have similar outcomes and results which is either you gain it all your you lose everything, but with proper management one can still make something out of this risky trading pattern but once you hit the jackpot, it becomes almost a go to point whenever you want to trade.

So the question is, can one becomes addicted to trading same way gambling can be addictive?

If yes what are the sign to know that one is becoming a trading addicts?
I agree with you that it can be addictive same as gambling as one u lose the whole balance it makes u make a new deposit and to start trading with a clever method and not to rush this time
the problem is that you always blame ur self for the lose and that make u deposit more to continue

Re: Is it okay to trade without a source of income?
by
breske
on 20/08/2025, 17:41:44 UTC
At the beginning I want to say that I am a semi-skilled trader. I do not have any source of income. I have been learning trading for the past 13 to 15 months and investing for 5 months. But even though I am temporarily profitable from here, I am completely losing because I cannot control my emotions. This is repeating itself with me again and again. Even yesterday I lost my capital along with my profit.

Then I plan to take a loan from my friend to deposit in trading again. When I asked him for financial help to deposit in trading, he advised me to find a source of income before entering trading again and advised me to refrain from trading recently and introduced me to this forum so that I can gain deep knowledge about trading. He even advised me to gain deep knowledge about Bitcoin investment so that after finding a source of income I can easily invest in Bitcoin. Should I accept such advice? Or should I go back to trading anyway? I am seeking proper advice from experienced people.

It’s definitely risky to trade without a stable income that means like you are gambling as trading can be unpredictable and emotions can mess with your decisions especially when money’s tight

Re: Please Give up! If you notice trading is not for you.
by
breske
on 20/08/2025, 17:35:05 UTC
There are alot of preachings and sensitization about how one should be persistent in the journey of trading and not to give up.

Please my opinion is to take that advice with a pinch of salt because when you have spent years learning the skill of trading and it doesn't seem to go well for you, I advice you get some other skills that might work for you.

The idea of wasting money in funding accounts for years is totally a waste of time and resources. Please reconsider because trading is not the only means of earning a living. thank you
you are right
it’s important to recognize when something’s not working and move on to something that fits better wasting time and money hoping for a breakthrough isn’t always the answer there are plenty of other ways to earn and grow no shame in trying something new

Re: Altcoins worth investing at dip
by
breske
on 20/08/2025, 12:47:44 UTC
There has been so many YouTube influencers and other folks predicting to buy certain altcoins for huge profit and once the Bitcoin dropped down thus send a shockwave across altcoins we don't see people or influencer coming up with their favorite list of altcoins with the kind of confidence which they showed when market was green.

This is the right time to pick invest into altcoins which didn't got expected pump during the bullrun yet posses the potential, I want you guys to share your opinion on altcoins which we should invest.

Though I am not a big fan of XRP but I would prefer XRP and ADA to invest now at dip. 70% investment would be into ADA and 30% into XRP.

it’s funny how those influencers vanish when the market dips now is  actually a good time to grab altcoins that didn’t pump during the bull run consider to buy some XML too

Re: $XRP is never going to $100
by
breske
on 20/08/2025, 12:28:50 UTC
earlier today, i saw someone predicting that XRP will enter $100 i was like mehnnnn you're so daft, That would give it an almost $6T market cap  more than Apple, Microsoft, and Bitcoin combined.

It’s not the “chosen one”, it’s just an old remittance token with fading hype and max bagholder cope.

This dream is delusion.
$100 XRP is wild!  like bro, do ppl even use math? A $6 trillion market cap is straight-up fantasy land That’s more than the biggest companies on earth combined.
XRP had its moment but acting like it’s still the chosen one in 2025 is just max level cope some people are holding on to hope a little too tight
Everyone’s entitled to their dreams but at some point reality’s gotta kick in lol
People said the same for Dash when it was 1100$ but today that is 21$  LMAO

Will meme coins like DOGE, SHIBA, PEPE still exist in the near future example 2030? Or will they be gone like shitcoins.
Tell your reasons why do you think they will/will not make it?
Most of them yes will exist but maybe most of crypto wont exist like Dash it was on top 10 with a price of 1100$ while today it is worth 21$
so always make sure you buy different coins and don't put all your eggs on 1 bucket

Re: Your Fatal Crypto Mistakes
by
breske
on 20/08/2025, 12:02:07 UTC
Have you ever made a mistake that resulted in the total or partial loss of your crypto assets?
Personally, like many people at the time, I stored my secret key in a file on my PC... which I accidentally deleted. I lost everything.  Grin Grin

Have you had other similar experiences?

It would be nice to share our experiences to prevent others from falling into the same traps.  Wink

Yeah I had a fatal crypto mistake I don't know how I got infected with a malware that swap the bitcoin address to the hacker address and while I was doing a payment I always check 2-3 letters at the end of the address
they were same so I press send  after 10 minutes I realized that was not the address I wanted to send the BTC to
at that time it was around 0.1 BTC  which today worth a lot
from that day i double check the whole address always not only last letters, lesson learned

Re: Even After Years of Trading, I Still Bought the Top Today
by
breske
on 20/08/2025, 11:55:29 UTC
After several years of trading experience, I bought the top of an altcoin again today.

I made a trading mistake, and I wonder how come I haven’t grown past this stage in trading.

I thought I have learnt how not to FOMO, I still fell for it even after been a trader since 2020.

I wouldn’t have bought the top if I took some few minutes to check the chart. At least the daily chart would have given me the signal.

This shows that even masters makes mistake sometimes.

Do you have similar experience like this?

Man I feel you I’ve done that more times than I’d like to admit Grin
No matter how long we’ve been trading emotions still creep in sometimes especially FOMO Its crazy how easy it is to skip checking the chart just because something feels like it’s about to moon
Honestly though that’s where risk management really saves the day even when we mess up it helps keep the damage small
You’re definitely not alone in this

Re: Can 25x position ever work out to profits
by
breske
on 20/08/2025, 11:39:21 UTC
25x leverage is to much.

Anyone that use that amount to opened long position at a price around $119000 or at a higher price for bitcoin would have been liquidated.

I prefer to just go for 5x maximum which is better.

What I am surprised with are people trading with millions of dollars and still using leverage. If I am such people, I will not use leverage at all.

people are greedy that's why they use x25 or even more and most of them do not calculate the fee they are paying for that trade most of exchange has very high fee when u use higher leverage
