I think it's hard for other coin which has power enough to replace bitcoin.  Bitcoin is one of origin coin. It has strong community, technology and the dev behind. the people consider BTC is like a fundamental coin in the crypto market. However, i hope there will be more alts can compete with BTC to make the market more  balance and don't get influence from any moving of Bitcoin value.

Hey guys, what do you think about today’s market situation? Market is growing really fast. Will it keep going like this?
In facts, the crypto market is going sideway for a while. The investors is doubt about cryptocurrencies. The demand is fighting with the supply. In my opinion, the price would break up from the trend line soon. So its perfect time to accumulate your portfolio. I believe the market is green in the end of this year because the blockchain technology is the safest system for payment, personally.

Re: The reason why Bitcoins is the safest system
by

Hey everyone I have heard newbies and other people asking about how safe is the Bitcoins and it's transactions well I think it will be beneficial to have a little discussion on this .

First of all if you own a bank account in a good bank then you should know that its very hard to hack one's bank account, it's almost impossible unless done due to personal flaws, like sharing your key or bank account details or something , you know the system behind Bitcoins and the system behind banking system is same .
Something by the name of cryptography whose Advance form is block chain . It's a complex code involving complex mathematics and the transactions are only completed through very complex and complicated steps impossible to penetrate.
For Bitcoins the same thing operates but with no intervening part or whatsoever , it's p2p direct transactions and this is even more secure and private.
The reason why you hear news like :- someone got their Bitcoins stolen or something is because they have personal flaws , they shared the private keys or the password with someone else..or they used a bad wallet.
It's on you how safe you make it .
That's totally right. Bitcoin is created by complex mathematics which is called blockchain technology so it's seem not be able to get hacked. The security of your account depends on your activity. You could accidentally display your private keys, password or wallet somewhere. In my opinion, we should be careful for our account information while payment or trading.

i have been trading and have some pretty decent returns in first week of january and huge losses later on.i think most of people here in same like me.i have been hodling my positions.
what are your ideas on increasing your btc portfolio?BTC
i think most investors get this bad situation. If you are holding alts which stay in top 100, you should keep holding it until the end of this year. There would be a bull run soon, personally. The investors is afraid of losing money because the crypto market is still going down. However, the value of alts is hard to get deeper. Its time to decrease your portfolio.

Re: Who controls the crypto market?

I think there is a lot of financial organization manipulating the crypto market now. They are holding a huge amount of cryptocurrencies and having strong financial resources so they have ability to make a fluctuation of price whenever they want. However, it also really risk to keep a lot of coins now. since the small investors is less and less. And whenever the crypto market has big change, they could be bankrupt.

I set a goal to reach incom from crypto 1k$/month to live on this earnings and do things that i'm interested in. What would you advise, how could i reach my goal this year?
in facts, it's really hard to earn 1k$/month. The crypto market doesn't have good news. The investors now doesn't believe in cryptocurrencies because there is a lot of scam project. However, if  you have ability to trade on exchange, earing about 1K$ is not  impossible. But for  this kind of investment, you should have a good strategy and strong mind.

Re: Strict rules in Bounties, is it needed?
by

In my points of view, it is easier to take bounty recently because the rules is not hard to finish. I think they should make a strict rule for all of members. It would make them have responsibility for what they try to get and eliminate all of the dumpers who just want to get benefit for short time and sell all of their coin after get bounties. Its neccesary to increase our crypto community.

Re: Is cryptocurrency so difficult to understand
by

on 25/09/2018, 14:44:17 UTC
I engaged with young people and layman people in my communities on the quest of exposing them to cryptocurrency. During the period I discovered that they find It so difficult to understand the concepts, they are so much acquainted with fiat currency and traditional ways of making payment transactions.
I will be impress If I can get a valuable ways and methods in making them understand what cryptocurrency is all about and engage them actively.
I'm totally agree with you. I think the best way to help them to understand about cryptocurrencies is pushing them into the market. They would have to learn how to survive the market to gain the benefit. The cryptocurrencies is too hard to take profit now, There is a lot of investors not believing about it. The matter now is what things would support for the recovery of crypto.

Re: How Long Crypto market will take to recover?

We all know this year is one of the worst year of crypto, market is dead and new investors are in fear to enter,  My portfolio is 75% down as compare to January. How long this market will take time to recover?. I am stucked in holding.
I'm in the bad situation as you. I joined in the crypto community lately at the peak value of bitcoin. My portfolio now is reducing to about 84% compared with my original asset. Although the market is going down in a while, it would get recovering at the end of this year and has the price chart like last year. who knows it could go higher?. I believe in the cryptocurrency so it doesn't bother me to hold for long-time next.

Re: Bitcoin bull run begins now?
by

In my opinion, Its hard to occur the bull run now. The crypto market is going side way and waiting to break up trend line. It is accumulating for a while so whenever bitcoin get accepted, there would be a fluctuation. If you have extra money, buying alts now is not bad decision. The value of alts is in the bottom recently. If the price chart was like last year, you would probably get rich.

Re: Altcoins that might survive in the future?
by
brianross7
on 17/09/2018, 22:58:17 UTC
Based on what it has been seen among the wide array of altcoins such as development, innovation, and security issues, what altcoins might survive in the future?

In my opinion, I think that the only ones prone to survive would be good old altcoins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin, but I may be wrong.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this as well as any altcoin that might be worth holding onto for the long term.  Grin
From my point of view, this current crypto market would filter the bad quality coins. There is some potential cryptocurrency in top 10 of cmc that I think it could survive for a long time such as ETH, NEO, EOS, etc. these also an old coins but its have a strong background that it could support them go through the bad situation. However, they have to try applying the coins in the real life that's the big trouble for all of the cryptocurrency now.

Re: What is your biggest regrets in cryptocurrency?
by

on 16/09/2018, 23:01:04 UTC
I discovered bitcoin when it was about $5 per coin and during that time for several reasons I could not buy it. I discovered eth and xmr when they were around $10 per coin and I could not find a good place to buy them. I discovered netko when it was about $0.05 and I could not get the wallet compiled. I probably had around 40 bitcoins and cashed them all out under $800 and I could name more.

You?
In my situation, i took part in the crypto market too late. Its was about 15k when i know and understand about this kind of field. If i knew about the crypto currency in the earlier 2017, it would have be more changed in my life. For now, although the market is not good to do invest, i still get enough money to meet my living cost. I hope the cryptocurrency would come back in the  end of this year. there are some good siignal in the market now.

Re: Beside Cryptocurrenices where would you invest?
by

A lot of people now days jumping and investing in the cryptocurrency industry.
If you are not investing in crypto, where do you else invest?
Property ? normal crowdfunding? give your input
There is a lot of fields that you have an opportunity to get the profit from them. As for me, I know that the population in the world, especially in my country is growing up. The demand for real estate is getting high either. So beside of investing in crypto, i spend the time to research and doing investing in this field. It indeed brings a lot of money to me.

How long time will take the markets go high ? What are your ideas about market cycle ?

This market getting worse day by day so what should I do for it? Should I wait for more time?
As you can see on the price chart, the cycle of crypto market is a couple of year. However, i think it is getting manipulated by the whales now. So we can't predict when it recovery or turn to next round. For the current market, It's hard to getting lower, so if you have your saving funds. Investing at this moment is not bad idea. There would be a bullish run soon in the end of this year, personally.

Please I want to invest in some coin but it seems that the market are red which coin should I buy now
I highly recommend you invest in top10 coins on CMC such as ETH, EOS,XPR,etc. Because these coin has a potential to develop in the next future. Although the crypto market is bleeding a lot recently, but i think it's hard to get down more and there would be a bull run soon. The price is perfect to buy any coins that you like now.

How do you feel about long-term investment? Do you see the priorities in this? What do you think is the reason for this? Where to invest in your opinion?
Personally, Its a good idea to investment in long-term. You don't have to care much about the fluctuation in the long period of time and get affected to your mind by the crypto market. The important goal is the benefit that you would get in the end. However, the investing funds has to not affect to your life in the long time. In my opinion, i invest in both long term and short term because of its advantages.

Re: What is the best Cryptocurrency to Invest?
by

on 06/09/2018, 15:11:40 UTC
Personally, If you want to invest for long-term, there are some potential cryptocurrency which could probably grow strongly in the future.  As you can see, NEO belongs Chinese so it obviously has the hugest community in the world. Furthermore, this coin also has a strong team behind with creatively developed schedule. So my coin recommendation is NEO. If you want to reduce the risk, BTC is not a bad idea.

Re: How to make cash without investing?

How can I earn cash without investing? Can I earn a thousand dollars without investing or buying first?
From my point of view, it's actually hard to earn money without investing. You would never get the result if you do nothing. In investment, if you don't use your money to invest, you actually are using your time or your knowledge indeed. In the crypto market, you can spend your time in bounty campaigns to gain the benefit if you don't want to break your pocket. For me, No acting, no gaining.

Re: Wise thing to do with your savings.
by
brianross7
on 03/09/2018, 14:59:09 UTC
I see that many of you actually liked the concept of 20 % method wherein you allot 20% of your earnings to be saved as emergency fund.
So I was thinking, if that 20% allotted will be invested in a time deposit kind of account, will it still be possible to earn as much or invest it in cryptocurrency? Or maybe just let the money sleep until such time you will need it?
What will be a wise kove to do with the noney you have saved up?
As for me, I always let my budget circulating in some of investing thing. In my investing plan, I tend to separate my funds into 3 parts. Firstly, I use 50% of my saving for real estate. It actually could bring benefit for me but it sometimes keeps your money for a long time. Secondly, I will spend 30% on the cryptocurrency. I realized that there is a lot of opportunity in the crypto market. Lastly, I use 20% to invest in some instant short business in the short term.
