A user on reddit just pointed out that it looks like the fund never left my wallet: https://blockchain.info/address/17g6qmjeshqZotqcVujHSwYV56j5iGJcir

How can I cancel an unconfirmed transaction on MultiBit, what can I do to retrieve the fund and to send them successfully?

Noob? Need URGENT help with a BTC transaction

Hi guys, I'm having trouble with a BTC transaction, it looks like I made a mistake but I don't know what went wrong, I made a transfer on MultiBit 0.5.15 to my blockchain and the transaction can not be found.... I just made a post on reddit, I will copy/paste:

"I am using Bitcoin since 2013, never had a problem, one of my relative bought 1 BTC in 2013, the Bitcoin was stored in MultiBit 0.5.15.
My relative wanted me to sell the Bitcoin, so I just made a transfer. I had to send it to my blockchain address. Here is the proof of my reception adress: http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/161809BTC01.png

I sent the 1 BTC to the reception address, the transaction was confirmed here is the proof: http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/202915BTC02.png
I thought it was a bit strange because If I remember well, I had a password to the wallet, but they didn't ask me the password and I got the confirmation. Then I started waiting, and waiting, and after 1-hour with no confirmation, I started panicking a little bit.

Normally I would patiently wait, but now I am extremely worried. I tried to check the transaction on the blockchain but the transaction could not be found.

Here is the picture of the transaction: http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/157955BTC03.png

Now here is the link for the transaction

https://blockchain.info/tx-index/9e1dfd408bdcaec823d894c740bbbac947cf174741bfa394410a19a2c51dbc71
https://blockexplorer.com/tx/9e1dfd408bdcaec823d894c740bbbac947cf174741bfa394410a19a2c51dbc71

The transaction could not be found.... I am extremely worried right now, what the hell happened guys? Am I incredibly noob and freaking out for nothiing?!?!

I would like to know what I can do, knowing Bitcoin, I think I just lost his $1200CAD which put me in a lot of trouble, but I did absolutely nothing wrong in my opinion. But clearly, it looks like I made a major mistake."

So if I had 50K SUPER on Cryptsy, there's litteraly no hope for me to retrieve them?  Roll Eyes

Just asking if there was a development, I know Cryptsy is R.I.P., so I have 0,01% hope to get them back.

Probably not, but check in every now and again at forum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173703.0
They report any updates to the class action lawsuit against cryptsy in-between their arguing.  Cheesy

 Cool

Yeah pretty frustrating, I was buying a lot of SUPER at the beginning of the year when it was about 100 satoshis, I don't know what's the price right now but actually I don't wanna know, I had 0,10 BTC worth of SUPER at 100 satoshis.

Problem with MultiBit HD
by
brookefinancial
on 13/06/2016, 19:33:30 UTC
My friend has a problem with MultiBit HD. He used to have a wallet with MultiBit Classic and he has all his backups on multiple USB keys. It's been a while since he used his Bitcoins and with the recent price increase he wanted to check out his wallet. He has a new laptop so he had to download the new version of MultiBit HD.

So, this didn't happened to me, I'm trying to write the situation as he wrote it to me.

When he opened the MultiBit HD they asked him to create a new wallet, so he did. Then from what he told me, they gave him a 12-word password and they asked him to get the file for this new wallet. He wanted to upload wallet so from what I understand when they ask him to get the file he took his old .wallet file. But the wallet opened and the balance is at 0$.

He basically created a new wallet, but he's still not able to retrieve his old wallet. This is exactly what he wrote me (in French, unfortunately, sorry).

It looks like MultiBit HD has changed the way to upload your existing wallets, what do you suggest he should do to have access to his wallet again? Like I said, he has multiple backup on different USB keys, he's just not able to upload it in the new MultiBit HD.

Sorry if this is not very clear, I will try to ask him more information.

due to the immense amount of free time i will have since i am out of school for the next month+ i will be fixing a few of these issues.

also we cant outright ban him. only delete his posts as i see them pop up. contacted the admins many times about the issue but he actually isnt breaking any rules except being an asshole. which there is no actual rule against. there are no rules on bitcointalk about insults, graphic images or hate speech. the response i got was if he wants to make himself look like an idiot he can but we dont censor or ban people for any content except illegal activity (aka child porn and selling drugs and weapons), one he does one of those things he can be banned but until then i can do nothing

It's good I understand, I'm really looking forward to see what will happen with SUPER Supercoin in the next few weeks, I will definitely keep an eye on it. I think this coin always had great potential.

Let's make 2016 the year of SUPER.

Nice I remember the logo, this bring a lot of memories Wink

It's good to see you here, and I have to admit I had a little bit of trouble finding the thread for Supercoin again. I understand that a few cryptocurrencies are being advertised under the Trusted-Cryptos team, but I don't know maybe it's time to create a board for each cryptocurrency to highlight their strengths and entertain their respective community.

It's not necessarily a matter of BitcoinTalk.org, but it's also for the website, the social medias, etc. Everything seems to be advertised as one thing, "Trusted-Cryptos", when in fact the should be avertising their 3 assets, Supercoin, MultiWalletCoin and EcommerceCoin. But that's just my opinion. The last post on Facebook seems to be from June 2015 and the last Tweet from August 2015. That's also a problem if you are going to advertised them all under Trusted Cryptos.

With the hundreds of cryptocurrency around, it's going to be tough for SUPER, MWC and ECC to make their name if they are also branded as "Trusted-Cryptos". It's nothing against you guys, you are doing a good job on the technical aspects of your cryptocurrencies, but I think it's obvious they need more than that. One idea would be to relegate one person on your team to manage personally each cryptocurrency to always make sure they are being worked on and developped individually.

Unless you guys are thinking of merging the 3 cryptocurrencies into a new one, which could also be a good idea, it's going to be difficult to move forward under one name, with 3 crypto.

Also I don't understand how you guys still let harry_weener post here as he's only posting pictures of shit and stupid things to bash your name.

Keep up the good work, it's not all bad, but I will definitely be interested if things start changing a bit around here.

ISG3D: Releasing a New 3D Printer, Accepting Bitcoin Online
by
brookefinancial
on 08/09/2015, 21:17:58 UTC
Earlier this year, I shared some news regarding my friends at ISG3D working on a 3D printing startup in Canada. They started accepting Bitcoin and cryptocurrency payments in January 2015, and they are now launching a new 3D printer on Kickstarter, called the Eleven. Kickstarter is not accepting Bitcoin so far, but the 3D printer is expected to be available for purchase online after the Kickstarter campaign. If we look at the trading limit for other cryptocurrencies on Shapeshift, the 3D printer will be available to buy in Bitcoin, Dogecoin and Litecoin.

The team was invited a few weeks ago on Bitcoin Rush Ep. 48, you can watch it here.

The Eleven is an affordable desktop 3D printer with a build area of 220mm x 400mm x 400mm, which is much larger than the usual 3D printer. The 3D printer is expected to be released at the end of the month of September on Kickstarter.

ISG3D tweeted the 1st teaser last night, and the full specs are expected to be released in the next few days.

Click here to watch the first teaser!

Thanks, 2015 was a great year for 3D printing and Bitcoin, let's keep this trend going!

Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] The ARCH Network - NEWS
by
brookefinancial
on 12/06/2015, 13:54:28 UTC
WTF?

Coinme, I'm sorry to hear that you lost your coins. Hopefully we can figure out who the thief is when/if they sign on for CEO status.

Thank you!

This is what I was hoping to hear in the beginning from ARCH Owner, CEOs or Support.

I have given up hope of this happening as the lack of support shown by ARCH top dogs is quite remarkable.

To date I know of 5 now ex ARCHers who have contacted me and described losing coins in a similar manner.

The total lost to hacks/theft or whatever you want to call that I've been made aware of is over 200k ARCH which by the latest
prices is around 75BTC worth, and I'm sure there will be others who no longer monitor this thread, have walked away from
ARCH and no longer follow this coin or do not wish to make their loss public. Edgar ARCH will know a lot more but
he is remaining silent on this matter and has offered no assistance in tracking the thief.

My recent posts here sparked a response from ARCH Support and Tom has been polite. Thank you, Tom, but unable to
be of assistance as he does not know who is ARCH rich lister #2 at the following address.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/arch/address.dws?AL8PwmG2wC5Kjq9SfsTCmVVvKJqrg2bWWc.htm

I can see the 32k taken from my wallet ended up there by following the Blockchain from

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/arch/block.dws?171607.htm

I've contacted Bittrex but they are claiming privacy reasons for not divulging anything.
I'm not certain that this is a Bittrex wallet as it doesn't have a lot of withdrawls
It only seems to be accumulating.

While the loss of 15BTC worth of ARCH is personally disappointing what is the most disappointing is the response from the ARCH community.

From the previous replys in this thread you can see how the common cry has been that it was my fault for not pass-wording the wallet.

I accept this was an mistake on my part however it must pointed out that it is NOT a requirement to password the ARCH wallet.
It is a recommendation only.

The ARCH wallet does not enforce a password and this should be a minimum requirement BY DESIGN given the reoccurring thefts
seen over the last 6 months from ARCH wallets and that ARCH Devs are obviously aware of.

Well this is an interesting post.

At this point I'm not sure what difference it would make, pretty sure a lot of people are already pissed at Edgar and it's going to be hard for him to gain the public's trust again.

Anybody knows who is the #2 address on the Rich List?

Hey guys, just wanted to share a little something to the team. I am trying to connect on www.trustedcryptos.com and my browser can't access the webpage. I am getting an error on Google Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. I live in Canada, I don't know if anybody is getting the same error.

http://www.trustedcryptos.com/

And also, someone I knew who invested in SUPER Supercoin in July/August is having some questions on the state of Supercoin.

"Le SuperCoin ça l'air dead. Pu de site web.  Le fil Twitter n'a plus rien depuis longtemps et l'apps Android ne donne plus de prix."

It's french for "Supercoin is looking dead, no more website, there is nothing on the twitter feed since a while, and the Android apps are not updating the price anymore."

I told him that you are operating under Trusted Cryptos and shared the link, but I can understand how confusing it can be for someone who was invested earlier. This is kind of a "merger" of 3 cryptocurrencies, and I just wanted to share someone's opinion on the current state of Supercoin. Maybe you can guys can advertise them a little bit more separetely, doing wallets, apps, twitter, website for each coin.

I also saw that SUPER Supercoin is no longer trading on Bittrex, this came also as a big surprise knowing the past of Supercoin.

Not trying to spread the bad word, just wanted to open up the conversation a little bit about the future of Supercoin especially.
