Winner will get and the negative takeover of 54BTC? And will only profit after this?

Bets   48,715
Wagered   82,924,708 bits
Bets Profit    -54,094,088.18 bits (-65.23%)

Thats actually a good thing.   Considering app owners make a profit on every bet whether it is a win or a loss, it can be advertised as the luckiest casino on moneypot.

One dude won 48 btc on a single bet of 0.4 btc not too long ago. If that's not lucky, I don't know what is Cheesy

I am putting https://sat.oshi.xyz up for sale.   It is a great roulette site on the moneypot platform that has done well and has a lot of potential for future expansion.

The site has had over 200 BTC wagered on it in about 4.5 months and made us .47 BTC in that short time.

Auction includes Domain and Script.   You will need to procure your own server.   It is fairly lightweight so an inexpensive VPS will due, it can even run on hosting.

Starting bid: .5 BTC
Bid increments: .01 BTC
Buy it Now: 1 BTC

Auction Ends on January 16th 2016 at 23:59:59 UTC

https://sat.oshi.xyz

I'm verifying this. Also, if you'd like to reduce the upkeep cost further, you can even run this for free on github.

So that admin scams without repercussions  Grin
Just kidding you... Or maybe not lol
This kind of games is not new but good luck anyways!
Scam gamblers without repercussions. Intriguing.
You might be right, no doubt about that.
IIRC, cherryRace (a scam ponzi) is using the same concept if I'm not wrong.

This game is mainly influenced by player bids. If only one player bid, the only gain pot is the small predetermined initial pot. If more player bids, the pot will grow(from the bids by each player when they attempt to win the pot) and the ultimate reward for the winner is the pot(which has grown from the cumulative bids of all players).
If what you said is true, then this thread is not belong in Investor-based games section.

First sentence of the subsection description : "Games where the main factor is whether or not new "investors" join the game."

This game fits the description, hence it is here.

Also, its nothing like cherryrace.

An apt description of bidpot would be:

  • Gambling(From the autobid, you are estimating what the pot will be like, and how many players will be there when you purchase your autobid credits, hence it is a gamble)
  • Jackpot(an initial pot is offered, subsequent bids from other users also go into this pot)
  • Penny auction(You are bidding for the pot, each bid increases bid price(and also increase pot))

Yesterday was crazy!! The pot went up to 0.02 BTC!! Also, to prevent abuse a new system have been added. The timer won't start ticking until a reserve has been met. Currently for the initial pot of 100 bits, the reserve will be met when the pot gets to about 500 or 600 bits.

As an opening promotion, I'll be on the site and if there are more than 10 players online, I will personally pump in the initial bids required to get the clock ticking. And I'll bow out after.

its an interesting game i think i will wait till the timer will go down a little bit

sure, I'll be looking forward to see you on the site.

The website is very simple to understand but where will the winner gets his pay out from?

From the site's bankroll, which is stored on MoneyPot.
Alright how do i know that your website is provably fair and not that i will always loose my investments.
First, it's not an "investment". You bid, and if the time runs out and no one else bids, you get the entire pot.
For this type of game, you can't be provably fair. You are going against other players, and whoever has the most bankroll will win in the end. System will be hard to cheat because they are using moneypot, so someone can't make a fake deposit. Even the owner can't cheat, as he would need the BTC to "bid"

Looks like DarkStar_ answered all my questions. Thanks. I'm cross posting here as it fits the description of this subtopic

Alright how do i know that your website is provably fair and not that i will always loose my investments.

For this game model, a provably fair scheme isn't applicable as majority of the winners pot will come from other bidders. (If I am wrong, please correct me). The initial pot is sponsored by the site.

How the winner is selected is simply this: the last bidder wins.(There really isn't any provably fair scheme that is applicable for this criteria)
The catch is this: anyone can bid and every bid raises the timer. To win, it takes patience, and strategy(Just like a penny auction)

Cross posting from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1312040.0

Hey guys, I'd like to invite you to help test out my new MoneyPot app:

BidPot.XYZ

698,310 satoshi draw happening now!!

UPDATED RULES

How to play:

  • Each round begins with 24 hours on the clock and a Pot (calculated as a percentage of the site's bankroll)
  • The goal of the game is to be the last player to bid when the clock counts down to 0. The last player to bid is the winner and the entire Pot is awarded to him

Rules:

  • Every bid increases the timer and pot
  • If the remaining timer is more than 60 seconds, every bid increases the timer by 60 seconds
  • If the remaining timer is less than 60 seconds but more than 10 seconds, every bid increases the timer by 30 seconds
  • If the remaining timer is less than 10 seconds every bid increases the timer by 20 seconds
  • There is a 24 hours max timer
  • The bidding price is always 5% of the total Pot.
  • A fee is charged for every bid. This begins at 20% and increases to 100% over time.
  • The fee will be used to bet against MP's bankroll and the profit is added to the pot. All loss against the MP bankroll is sustained by BidPot.XYZ
  • All fee collected will be a part of the site's bankroll and contribute to future initial pots

Autobid:

  • Autobid credits can be purchased. This credit is reset at the end of each round and won't be refunded.
  • If your auto bid credit is more than the current bid price, you will randomly bid when the time is less than 30 seconds and you are not currently the last bidder

Site is offline currently while I apply some major fixes.

I chose to use moneypot because of the wallet security they offer. Also, many users are already on moneypot. So its more of convenience actually

Its a interesting idea and i will surely give it a shot. When i saw something like this on the Fokler website i thought why havent we seen any other sites offering this type of a "game". Really nice to see that finally we got another option, ill play a bit and let you know how i feel about it.

Hello. Glad you're interested. I'm looking forward to see you there. I'm not familiar with Fokler, any link so I can check it out?

Does Moneypot work with penny auction game? Let's say if there is only one bid in a round, that bidder will surely win and the house will surely lose. Isn't the bet has to be +EV to the investors for MP to be accepted?

Currently, BidPot.XYZ only uses MP for managing the funds. The initial pot is funded entirely by BidPot.XYZ. The pot then grows as more users place their bids. Currently, the initial pot averages at about 100 bits, but this amount will increase as the bankroll grows.

I have plans in the future to place bets to MP(out of the bid fee) and increase the pot with the winnings, effectively offering a larger pot to the players.
