Hello guys i am one of the bitcoin oldie lover, i had 76 btc, but lost much of them left with like 6 due to alt coin loses, market is dumping like crazy, what would be the suggestion and recommendation? HODL has made me alot of losses, i am not sure how bitcoin will survive without altcoins, but i would love to see you opinion and as per me , altcoins will recover soon what abt you?
I think it is the opposite, I'm unsure that Altcoins can survive without bitcoin.
As for buying Altcoins, if you believe in bitcoin, I would suggest holding a large amount of reserves and buying some riskier Altcoins with what you have left.

I hope that someday Altcoins can stand on their own without bitcoin and not depending on its daily price volitility and price fluctuations
With the recent up move in price, there are some analysts that feel that BTC could become the new asset of choice for hedging. BTC holds all of the right characteristics of a hedging asset. If BTC could become the choice of hedgers the valuation potential is staggering.
It is definitely a good hedge against the dollar. But one problem with that is how volitile bitcoin is. Often people want something more stable as a hedge.

The downtrend is a sucker punch: The Bears will be crucified! Multiple big pumps incoming to crush the Bear Bitches: No mercy: Opinion If you think for 5 minutes the big players such as miners are going to tolerate Bear bitches you are a fool! Chinese Miners have unlimited capital to take care of schoolboy bear bitches that leverage their positions. These fools will be wiped out. Long live the Spartans!
Live and learn bitches!
Hell is coming for the BEARS!
The bears are now entering the killing field: Join them and be slayed!
Money talks BS walks: Skin on the table!
Perhaps but I would still remain patient on this. I think bitcoin will continue to move sideways for some time before we see another huge bullrun.
The reason Bitcoin can shake the world may be some people around the world know the rapid technological developments, With Bitcoin people with lower middle economy can improve their finances like now because how someone can make money without anything. With Bitcoin very important to push the economy and the world's huge debate on him.
With finances, there are a lot of institutions that crypto might end up hurting so perhaps it is in their best interest to fud bitcoin as much as possible.
Nowadays, many people are less interested in bank products.
Many noobs entering the Cryptocurrencies market, and they only know Bitcoin, not altcoin.
Venture capital also entering Cryptocurrencies and want to avoid tax.
Also many noobs bought bitcoin in December at the top and fomoed until bitcoin crashed which caused a lot of craziness in the market.

Because bitcoin is a household name and it is the original. Yes, bitcoin cash is faster and cheaper but it's essentially a clone like any other cryptocurrency.

Yes it absolutely can - or at least, it should. There are many projects that are amazing on their own but since they are pegged to bitcoin, their value is based off that
Hello, would love to get your opinion on this topic. Do you think there would be more regulations regarding cryptocurrency by the Government? Both now and the future? Lets say bitcoin price rises to $100,000 per bitcoin, Do you think the government would actually let it be and function on its own without constant regulations? Well, personally I think we would see more regulations from the government down the line to a 1 Trillion Dollars total market cap and above. But Im positive such regulations wont hamper on the further growth and advancement of cryptocurrency. So tell me, what do you think?
Government would not let it exist on its own, government always pokes its head into everything and gets involved. So yes, I do believe there will be regulations. Although I'm not sure how well they will work.
Is there anything which has not ups and downs history in its life? Price created for to be changed. When bitcoin first come what was its price can we remember? And now what is going on? If you think bitcoin may be gone then you are a fool. It goes down only for ups again. If you are a wise person then buy or hold bitcoin when it is in low price. Really it is the best time for buy bitcoin. Believe me or not.
I agree, it seems everyone expects bitcoin to keep going up forever when in reality it will be going up and down and moving sideways.
Bitcoin as soon as possible will come back again like what they did reach to bitcoin last december 2017. Lets give bitcoin more months to fully recover and you will see the price become high again and you gain more profit after few months .
It still needs time to fully stabilize itself and its pricing. We don't want quick movement upwards like December, we want stable growth

Many people are scared of their financial future with the uncertainty of thr dollar and the economy collapsing. I do believe crypto is the future
What if people convince governments of their nations to make Bitcoin as a legal currency or what if we agree to give tax on our bitcoin income? Will government then make Bitcoin a legal currency.
Government wouldn't make bitcoin its own currency, that wouldn't make any sense. They would most likely make their own form of cryptocurrency.
Many people are still hesitant between trade and hold. In my opinion, Investment is different from speculation is that you spend time and knowledge for it. When you trust and understand, you will not be afraid of the volatility of the market. It's an investor or a HOLDER. It's very good, but I think you get to know the market, trade, the cycle of market so you can be an investor, a smart holder. "Dont be a blind bull. ALL markets are cyclical. Dont be afraid of pullbacks or market crashes thats where you can make the most money"
I agree with this and I have always said the same thing... If you believe in what you invest in, you are looking at the long term picture and short term fluctuations don't really matter.

I know that many people may disagree with me but if bitcoin does not properly scale and lower transaction cost, it has no long term value. Plain and simple.

Re: Your investment strategy?

Buy hold and wait is my strategy... Buy projects you believe and hold them. Sometimes for a very long period of time but it is worth it.
Recently, many Cryptocurrencies have been created and the rapidly changing market landscape, all investments in Cryptocurrency can be high risk. Even Bitcoin which is by far the most stable crypto also shows a fluctuating price.
For comparison, though, altcoin prices are more volatile due to low market cap, altcoin markets are particularly vulnerable to price manipulation. Investors who have a large capital called "whale" - often inject large sums of money into coins that have low prices to build sensations and cause the price of the coin to skyrocket. Once the price has increased, he sells their coins on the exchange with huge profits, making many other investors deceived in the process. This method is known as "pump & dump." This can not only hurt greedy traders who do not take the time to analyze their investments, but are often shown to cause altcoins to have short lifespan.
To avoid losing all your investments due to pump & dump, focus long-term investments on coins that you believe have great potential and show good health. Generally, healthy altcoin has a strong community, shows high liquidity, and has a team of developers who proactively improve the source code of the coin. The comprehensive loginitma of CoinGecko metrics analysis statistically analyzes these three important factors and ranks the coins according to the overall strength of the coin.
If you choose to invest in altcoin, it is important to remember some basic principles of investment. Avoid the hype from those distributed by the coin community. Every investor has an agenda, so it's best not to take their word round. Invest only on coins you have previously worked on. It is not wise to invest in something you do not understand. Making an investment based on the wrong information is a sign that you will lose your hard-earned money. Take the time to research the coins you would consider a long-term investment, and research the market situation before you try to become a high-volume short-term trader. Most importantly, never invest more than your ability to take losses. Too many people lose their life savings by focusing them on a volatile investment.
I agree. It is incredibly important to ignore the shilling and hype coming from people who already bought the coin. Do your own research and buy coins that YOU believe in.
