You can't evaluate a coin based on one 24h period. That is idiotic. If this were the case, then you would have to conclude just 1 day ago that XC > DRK, because 1 day ago XC had a higher 24h volume than DRK. So, according to your method, you now have two antithetical reports to reconcile within a period of 48 hours.
Your method is seriously flawed. And the reason DRK volume has risen to overtake XC's in the last 24 hours is unquestionably because they just released news on RC4.
I am tracking for DRK & XC for a long time. Yes, there are few time intervals in history, where XC > DRK by 24h volume, but MOST of rest time (I estimate 80-90%), DRK > XC by volume.
Today, the volume difference just became drammatic. My opinion, among many parity features of XC vs. DRK there is one, 'instamine' that intrinsic to XC, and not intrinsic to DRK. People's psychology does not accept unjust feature such as 'instamine'. You may contradict with 'stake' feature. But to stake coins, one need buy them first, buying is not so psychologically comfortable, as minig on the equipment you already possess.
So I call on Dan to return the mining feature, and let XC be PoW coin again, at least 50% PoW, 50% PoS.

Yes, that is Dan, you can read in it, "Currently working on a revolutionary idea and project - XCurrency - a world-class premier alt-coin which intends to bring true privacy to all."
And yes, source code must go open source at some point. Closed source = centralization. But this is why the team has decided to release the code in parts on a delayed timeline. So that eventually, the code will be opensource, yet XCurrency holders will be able to benefit from the uniqueness of the code's innovation.

BTW, This coin is EASY to hide coins . Im one of the originals who hold a rather large amount myself, only a few specific people know my sums, yet I am sure no one can figure out how much I have. Before anyone asks, no I am not listed on the "rich list" because I dont want it so. I made sure not to have that part of my info pulbic, because I dont need idiots following every coin movement when I might transfer to stake one batch in another wallet, freaking out people seeing movement.

As I've proven above, while XC's sources remain closed, XC and BTC are exactly equal in anonymity, although BTC has more trust, because its base source code (not mixing one) is open & tested for 5 years world-wide.

Hiding your addresses? No, you can't perform the same trick with BTC because ONLY XC has trustless mixing.

Agree with you in terms that anonymity is indeed a fundamental challenge, and today no coin can prove its anonymity. Nevertheless there are some coin family on the market with open source given, that does take a dare of anonymity. I can not speak about them here, restricted by thread rules.

In response to the attack that was carried out today on navajocoin.
While I am still reviewing the limited amount of information, based on my review of both the code and the available data, the attack was successful partly due to the 30 second block time.
XC use's a 90 second block time.
I am reviewing the additional variables & Proof of Stake code involved in this attacked for any potential issues

2. De-centralized EM working on testnet
someone should really make a / Features COMPLETED board with flashing green lights and check marks ... there is a lot of confusion since rev 2 release as to whats actually done and whats not.
Basically we are on track for world domination as usual ...
