I'm having trouble solo mining

this was my original post

"Ok, I have RPC miner and a bitcoin wallet setup.  I thought I did everything right but I keep getting this...

"No blocks are being hashed right now.  This can happen if the application is
still starting up, you supplied incorrect parameters, or there is a
communications error connecting to the RPC server"

Host = http://api.bitcoin.cz
server port = 8332

What kind of rig are you running? You may not want to solo mine at all.

I'm running a mac pro with two ATI5770 cards.  I've done the whole pool thing but I'm kind of in the all or nothing phase right now.  I may cycle back around to pool mining but I wanted to get this up and running just as a curiosity.  Again guys, thanks for the posts.  I appreciate the community support.

Help with solo on osx?

I have GUIMiner and Bitcoin-Qt

In GUIMiner I've done the Solo Utilities but when I go to Launch Bitcoin Client as Server it says "Launch failed - Couldn't find Bitcoin at /Applications/Bitcoin-Qt.app, is your path set correctly?"

I have it set at that directory because the Windows guys all say to direct the bitcoin path to the Bitcoin-Qt.exe so I've assumed that the Bitcoin-Qt.app was the equivalent.  Was I wrong in thinking this?

Also, as far as the server settings go for Bitcoin-Qt I created a .conf file in TextWrangler that had this:

server=1
rpcuser=(myuser)
rpcpassword=(mypw)

I thought I had everything set up correctly but I'm currently at a loss and my eyes are bleeding from the research.  Any help would be hugely appreciated.
