Quit rubbing it in! My coins are locked in Cryptopia since I don't check the thread every minute of every day. Totally fucked by this! Can't do shit with MY coins that I paid good money for. WTF?? No stakes, no nothing. FML!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Same here, but to make matters even worse.. I have some stuck in limbo. Showing as withdrawn from Crypt and nothing showed up in my wallet.
I am confident everything will be sorted out soon enough though. Patience.

I have a problem with my wallet. I used version 1.6.1. Before I tried to change to 1.6.2, I saved wallet.dat file. Then I followed 6-step procedure like explained of forum. Wallet 1.6.2 synced OK, but when I put wallet.dat file back into Roaming directory, wallet crashes. I tried 10 times. Any suggestions?

You have to dump ur privatekey on version 1.6.1 with ur old wallet.dat...
After this, you have to import privkey into version 1.6.2...
i had the same situation, had tried several times to load the .dat, went through the dump and importprivkey, when done the addys were there, but didn't have balances.
started all over again
old wallet
listaddressgroupings...
dumpprivkey...
close old
rename fly roaming folder
make new roaming/flycoin folder and put copy of wallet.dat in it
start latest ver. qt
at that point it was all good; didn't have to import after all

Suggestions to get the ball rolling:
1. Suggest 1 to10 Million reverse split or set an arbitrary max # of coins
- i.e. 1 Million or 5 million.with each person getting % of total coins
based on ownership of current coin.
2. unclaimed coins held non-staking for 6 months or 1year for those who don't hear of the swap
reducing possibility of backlash - then, destoryed.
3. POS Interest rate that works well in many other coins 50% to 200%.
I agree with these suggestions. Maybe lower interest rate (10% per year or so). I agree with idea for mining pool too. 1. Suggest 1 to10 Million reverse split or set an arbitrary max # of coins

That is the point, even if you collect enough money, no-one will fix it because they saw what happened to the previous guy that stepped up to help. No harm in trying though.
How about opening up a discussion on what we would like to see happen with this coin and see what happens.
I'm for that too. Let's make a list of changes that we want to be made on this coin and than collect ECASH and offer it to someone who wants to do that and to be a new dev. Someone will hopefully fix this coin. You cannot please everyone 100 percent of the time, there are always going to be complainers. It everyone donates enough coins to make it worth someone time it would go a long way. I have no idea what needs to be done or I would help.

I do not think that anyone has attempted to contact spots. I might try the Macro recorder trick if I can find some time to investigate how to set it up. Have you had any negative staking amounts? Every once in a while I will get a couple of huge negatives.

If you can reach him, send him a message because he will do the swap in four days.
We should ask Spots if he's willing to do that asap, because he plans to do the swap for his four coins on June 28 so we don't have much time. And of course we should ask him to name the price for that and gather that money as a community.
I am also on board for the 1 billion. I came up with a work around for the syncing problem. Seemed to get stuck at 1%. But when I first open the wallet it picks up a chunk of blocks. So I installed Macro recorder and looped it. Opens wallet, gives it a few minutes to get blocks then shuts down and starts all over. I am at 60% now after 2 days!

We need to ask IGotSpots about to be added to the new swap process, which he intends to soon produce. In this process, all his coins will be swapped for one new coin. E-cash is still his coin.

This is what I think we should do as a Community.
I think we should have a coin swap in the Millions : 1 Ratio which would leave us with a very low coin cap (most likely somewhere under 500k coins to start with) that is if everyone who holds ECASH or buys it to swap does so within the time frame
The total amount of coins traded in at the specified ratio will determine the total amount of coins to start with for the new wallet.
Thus creating a new wallet with completely new branding of the coin, after all it will be a fresh wallet without a massive Blockchain to sync up anymore.
We decide on the Name & PoS rate, we could even base it on random low stake rewards but have it tweaked a little to behave differently.
This is just off the top of my head for something I see working.
