Re: Why are majority of people really poor?
by
cSentinentyZ
on 27/09/2025, 20:43:26 UTC
The main reason everyone can not be rich is because of the lack of knowledge and exposure to what can make them become rich.

If everyone is rich, life can not be balance, but it is not good to be poor. Some people are poor because they lack education.

Re: How do I recover any internet or media lost files.

I am having a little trouble understanding some of your words. Let me ask you, are you trying to recover your wallet using your email or phone number ? If so, then I am guessing you are referring to a centralized platform, not a decentralized one. So, what you need to do is contact customer service for the platform you are targeting. Make sure the site is trustworthy (not a scam), and they should try to help you recover your account on that centralized platform. If I am wrong, please correct me, but I am guessing you are referring to a centralized platform, right?
If he contact the customer care, they can not help him. The phone number and email belong to his ex and not him. If he contact the customer care, he has no prove that the account belongs to him.

In fact, if war breaks out, these highly volatile assets are far worse than you might expect. We're not even talking about assets, but about survival. What's being used is tangible goods that you can easily use or exchange.

Have you forgotten how the initial incident, when Russia invaded Ukraine, caused the crypto market to worsen, not improve. Everyone was afraid and moved to places they considered safe. So don't misunderstand, because if that rocket killed your internet power or your technological facilities, it would be a different story.
Bitcoin was below $25,000 when Putin declared the start of the war against Ukraine, but bitcoin is above $100,000 now in price. This makes me not to understand what you mean.

Bitcoin fell when the war began in Ukraine but it took less than 24 hours before bitcoin increased back and get above the price it was falling from.

Re: Do not have high amount of money on an online device.
by

It is not about t he device used here mostly, but the kind of wallet we operate on and how we secure the same device from anything that has to lead to an online internet connectivity, the wallet we are going to use should be a non custodial wallet and we should for no reason consider for a custodial type, then the device should preferably stand out different form the one we use for normal internet connections.
Noncustodial wallet shoukd be used but it should also be open source and not close source. Online wallets should be used for the amount of money that you can afford to lose while cold wallet and properly setup multisig wallets should be used for high amount of money.

I have been saying by by 4 year cycle for over six months. Let's see if i am correct.
Did you mean bye bye? Only what I think is the price fluctuations to reduce but bitcoin may still make it down to $75000 or down to $60000. Investors will have confidence and the price will later increase and get to ATH.

but if price does not rise btc and miners will struggle.
Some miners may not mine again, making it profitable for the remaining miners. The price of bitcoin will later rise and those that did not stop mining will make higher profit if they do knot sell when the price is low. Not selling at low prices will increase scarcity also.

Trading prop firms or proprietary firms are true but if you see someone that you did not know message you that it is real and he can help you, know that he just want to scam you, just avoid such a person. I have not seen it in crypto but they are common in traditional markets.

Re: Do not have high amount of money on an online device.

My post was a reply to the response in the quote above.
I have already pointed out the same context in my reply to the quote i answered (in bold). What i meant is that we can't always just blame users on how they use their devices online or offline because it may be the fault of the manufacturers lunching products that can be vulnerable to malwares. This can be one of the main reasons why users may choose to store their savings in online platforms like exchangers or web-wallets because they can ask for refund if any incident occur to that company.

Excuse me for interrupting this discussion man but this doesn't make sense in any way. Wallet manufacturers are not one and are not two, we have different companies manufacturering hardware wallets and some of them has been in this business for long term, only Ledger has been compromised and that was their email logs and nothing related to any wallet been comprised due to malware. You can't get a malware on hardware wallet because your keys are offline, there is no connection when there is no internet.
Coupable, you need to know that exchanges refund their customer if the fault is not from the customer. If the fault is from the customer, the exchange will not refund the money. Some users mistakes on wallet can happen on exchanges, example is clipboard malware. The exchange will not refund their customer because of clipboard malware. Only when I know exchanges refund their customers is after exchange hack.

See the Coinbase phishing attacks that happened 2 times that Coinbase users lost their money to the phishing attacks, Coinbase did not refund their affected customers.

Antotena, know that Ledger Nano is not an offline wallet anymore because Ledger users can send their seed phrase online to three different companies for backup. Coupable is also right to some level because some hardware wallets had vulnerability in the past. Ledger Nano and Trezor have vulnerabilities in the past. Just browse about it if you think I am not right.

Re: Malware-laced Rust packages on Crates.io stealing crypto wallets
by

Yes, there is a tendency that the official website unknowingly has replaced the package to be downloaded by its users. And so, be vigilant and always verify things. Because it's going to be too late if we find out that we've been a victim already. And we don't want to get into that point. Coming from apps, browser extensions that we use, everything that's executable, check them always.
Most websites does not have PGP signatures that can be used that a file really belongs to the original people that owns the website. I have only noticed just open source wallets that only support bitcoin that have the signatures. If a website does kotnhave the signature, there is no way you can know that the file on the site to download has not been replaced by hackers.

Re: How can I save my seed phrase?
by
cSentinentyZ
on 27/09/2025, 12:39:17 UTC
Personally i don't think it's a good solutions to save all seed words in one location unless it's encrypted with more words as suggested above. There is no metal protected from burn or other kinds of damage.
Passphrase was posted above by some users but it is not an encryption. It is called seed phrase extension with an extra word. But you can decide to encrypt your passphrase with an open source tool or you can encrypt it on computer if you have it on a USB flash or memory card but detached from the device and stored in somewhere safe.

People should know that if they want to protect their crypto, they should use a cold wallet. Hackers are still existing because they are seeing people to scam. If people start to us cold wallets, the possible of scammers to scam will reduce.

People should avoid to download anything from unknowing sources, this will also be helpful.

Re: Regulations of Crypto currency; a protection or barrier tool?
by
cSentinentyZ
on 27/09/2025, 08:46:33 UTC
I am of the faction that wants freedom. People should be allowed to make their financial choices. The government should allow people who want to go through KYC to do it.
The government can not allow this because they always think that no going for KYC can lead to online crime without knowing who do the crime. But with KYC, their is also still online crimes.

I also like privacy and I am not an online thief but the government will not allow no KYC ways of accessing cryptocurrencies.

As they are regulating cryptocurrencies, more anonymous ways are coming. Example are the Perpetual DEXes like Hyperliquid and Aster.

Re: Convince others to tap retirement plans

we don't need other people that invest in btc. for sure it will be a bigger mistake if you get people (forced to invest) into bitcoin and they will realize later... a bear market!
If the people continue to invest and not sell, they will later make money. 1 to 5% of someone's money is not that huge if invested on bitcoin. I also think it is s long term investment because it is a retire plan investment. Bitcoin will still later go up if not panicking.
