Re: Why Bitcoin is better than banknotes
by
caballero12
on 18/08/2018, 10:35:53 UTC
Bitcoin is a crypto currency that is acceptable to any other countries direct price, with out convert to equivalent price in USD, and secondly is faster than banknotes transaction, and secondly bitcoin transaction can be done at any given point in time, while Banknotes work with time duration.

I have a friend back in 2015 that was given a payment of 3.5 BTC. at that time it was $200 each and when the price went down to about $170 to $180 he sold it. What assurance can my friend get from there that he is not underpaid for his work?

Re: I wish I dump all the BTC in late DEC 2017

it seems like you are experiencing a deep regret because the bitcoin price is currently rising rapidly and you have sold bitcoins at a very low price so you must be very sorry to be too quick to sell bitcoin when december 2017 ago.

Had we known that December 2017 was it's peak, anyone on this group would have certainly done that. For the optimistic people that most of us are all here. We should patiently wait.

Bitcoin is the world’s 6th largest currency as of this year. Can you just imagine how great this can be? Most of the people here would agree that Crypto currency on a global scale is still on it's infancy stage but look how far it gone? Great isn't it?

Re: Beware of Increasingly Sophisticated Malware Infection Attempts
by

on 12/08/2018, 10:25:23 UTC
Besides new wallets and scam ICOs, bounty hunters and airdrop chasers should check very carefully before participating in such campaigns. Scammers are now more than ever using airdrops as baits for hacking and phishing. Please avoid any airdrop that gives direct link to your MEW or other wallet account. You may end up on a scam wallet site.

Yes you are right, scammers are increasingly sophisticated and in recent times there have been a lot of cases of infection through airdrops , it is necessary to be very attentive and careful.

This Hooligans know nothing but to steal from others. They are creative enough to create such innovation just to get other people's coins. why can't they just direct this enthusiasm into good use? Really appreciate the warning and tips from this post.

I personally experienced this with one of my MEW wallets. I was doing and airdrop and little did I know that my cons are being transferred 1 by 1. I lost about $800 worth of coins from that wallet and potentially more.

Re: Do you think Bitcoin will change, like PayPal did?

                                                          --==<  http://prntscr.com/kfd3d4 >==--

You know, when companies start out, they make these FREE forever promises and then they grow into multinational

companies with profit driven goals and all of this amounts to lies. Satoshi promised us "cheaper" transactions... Are we still

trying to honour that promise or will we turn into another PayPal?

Just reminder that we are supposed to be different than our competitors. Right?

Maybe for some people they see it as a risk to trust or not in this project. But Bitcoin is more than Paypal and any other. It has been a great project, and I know that if it changes, it will be to improve.

Doing transactions via Bitcoin is still waaayyy cheap. If you compare it with PayPal that company pays too expensive.

If you want to secure your bitcoin there are two ways to keep safe it.
1. Online wallets.
2. Hardware wallets.

If you chose  number one you have to take some steps for keep safe your bitcoin.
1. Take a very heard password.
2. Keep your password in a very secure place.
3. Don't save your password in online.
4. Activate two step authentication.
5. Don't share your password to any one.

For your help give some trusted wallet links...

Re: CHILD PORNOGRAPHY IN BITCOIN
by

on 12/08/2018, 04:25:42 UTC
Bitcoin could become illegal in all countries that bans child pornography after discovering this: https://www.sciencealert.com/bitcoin-illegal-almost-everywhere-after-shocking-blockchain-discovery-child-pornography

What can you say about it?

By following this logic so they shall also ban the dollar, euro, pound sterling and so on... But wait, even if it happens then what? They will use another means of payment simple as that. So to continue their trip with acid, silver, gold, copper, the diamond should be banned too.

But wait, when money didn't exist people were trading (I give you tomatoes in exchange of sugar, then the sugar is exchanged for a fish and so on) Going deep into this, everything should be banned. I hope in the future we will still be allowed to breathe

"I hope the future we will still be allowed to  breathe"! I really love the way this was explained. Spot on! Using Blockchain for such illegal acts is depressing but still need to be aware of the future to come.

Re: What if someone forgot the key to their bitcoin wallet ?
by

What are the measures to keep your private key safe and in memory ?
Print your private keys to any form of paper that you can keep for safety. Don't trust your memory even you are the champion in memory verse challenges, it isn't enough to keep your funds.

You can also create a file on a notepad and save it to a flash drive and don't use that drive to any computer that you don't own. Don't use it to public places.

Are there any alternatives to retrieve the key back ?
If you lost it, that's lost forever.

This is one of the challenges for bitcoin, if you lost your private key? you lost it forever. Me personally what I did is, I printed  3 copies and stored them in 3 diff places. You'll never know when you'll lost 1. Make sure you'll be responsible for your private key.

Lucky are the ones who are making Money out of Blockchain right now. I can't help but reiterate multiple times that Bitcoin same as other crypto-currency is not really for investing but for using it.

Re: Bitcoin has no competition
by
caballero12
on 11/08/2018, 07:14:13 UTC
I am not using any other crypto currency at the moment, but I don't think any of them will ever overtake bitcoin. Its the standard of all, its like money now, do you see money competing with anything else? I really don't see that. So I feel bitcoin will hold it own in the market and would probably keep growing.

I started my crypto-currency journey back October last 2017. I have personally witnessed friends and family members obtaining it. Others bought at $3,500.00 and still HODL right now. I'm in close monitoring about how bitcoin will work. I would also agree that Bitcoin has no competition.

There are a lot of coins in the market now. I would agree that Bitcoin on its current state has no competition, but for me in the near future it will serve as main branch once Block-chain technology has bloomed.

Re: What factors scare others from investing into bitcoin?
by
caballero12

Many problems can be pointed. Hackers, price going down, many negative prediction about its life in future made people stop investing in BTC.  Wink

Bitcoin or Blockchain is still very prematurely known. You lose your Private key and you can no longer access your wallet. People who bought Bitcoin at $15,000.00 and sold them @ $9,000.00 and still checking now from time to time most likely has accepted the $6,000.00 loss.

I don't think it's fair to compare Bitcoin to Litecoin. Not just the price, use most likely I would say "yes" it can be the same, but for a lot of people using it? I'll still go for Bitcoin.

Saw the graph about how litecoin has came from the 2nd going to  7th on it's rank now, but for me personally? I"ll still go for Bitcoin.

Re: I lost over 80k because i sold too early (newbie mistake)
by

on 08/08/2018, 10:26:43 UTC
A while ago i went all in ZClassic and bought about 365 Coins when the price was about 2$ per coin, but i decided to sell a couple of days after.
Two weeks later zclassic mooned and i could make about 80k now.

i learned my lesson in the hard way..

I know friends and family members who bought bitcoin at $15,000.00 and still HODL right now even the price is @ $6,000.00 now. Had the story been different and bitcoin to reach a peak of $50,000.00 it would have been great ain't it?

Re: Bitcoin failed as a currency
by
caballero12
on 08/08/2018, 09:57:20 UTC
Bitcoin was supposed to be used as a currency, not only a form of investment. However, it's been more successful as a form of investment, a "speculative asset".

Do you guys think that this can change in the long term ?

Spot on! this is actually the side that people are looking at incorrectly. Blockchain itself is not designed to be a business but to make it easier for us and the future generation.

Out of 195 Countries we have today ( Globally ) All countries have their own forms of Government. Making it Illegal is just difficult the whole United Nations has a lot more in their bucket to do than putting more attention to Bitcoin.

I know that most people are using Cryptocurrency to do trading. It's said because it also serves as a trap to SCAM people. BlockChain technology behind it is what matters.

If we focus too much on making money out of it. There is a high possibility that we will self destruct.

Re: What you do when someone say bitcoin is illegal thing?
by
caballero12
on 04/08/2018, 10:39:26 UTC
Most of the common people think that bitcoin is used only by hackers and criminals, even one of my friend said that it is used by hackers when I am telling about crypto currency to him.Later I explained what is bitcoin and other crypto currencies but still he confused,he can only get what is bitcoin when he research about himself.

In this situation how can we explain that what is real bitcoin?

I do agree that most of us that is into Crypto Currency share the same Dilemma on letting our friends know how "Block Chain" and Crypto Currency works. The way I explain it to people close to me is I focus with the technology ( not much of the investment side ) Imagine being able to transact directly with people in a global scale not needing to do remittances and stuff as such.

Re: Man sells house. Earns $20,000,000 from Bitcoins
by
caballero12
on 04/08/2018, 09:33:14 UTC
Just for last year I have friends of mine who bought Bitcoin for $14,000.00 who would have thought that it will sky rocket @ $19,978.60. Had they decided to sell it @ even $18,000.00 that's a whopping $4,000.00 per Bitcoin. But now at it's current price of $7,438.30 they have decided to take the risk now need to bear with it a little longer.

Bitcoin at $6000, if people earn 100% profit, that will a miracle. Gone are the days of 500% or 1000% profits from Bitcoin.

We may not be as brave like what this guy did. We would agree that we need to be more focused and attentive in the next coming possibilities.
