Re: Bitcoin will be vulnerable to Quantum Computers in about 2 years
by
camito
on 18/01/2023, 14:29:41 UTC
There may be a temporary bitcoin recovery, but it is doomed long run b/c it is not quantum secure. IBM wll have a QC of 4,000+ qubits by 2025 (in two years). It takes only 1556  qubits to break the ECDSA encryption used to correllate private to public keys. What this means is if you have an exposed (unhashed) public key - which if you ever used your wallet it leaves an unhashed copy of your public key out there on the network for anyone to have - a quantum computer of 1556 or more qubits can take that public key and reverse engineer out your private key. Game over. Bitcoin has no value other than as a way to Secure information - security is literally its only selling point - when that security breaks, as it will, it has no more usefulness and the value will crash to probably just a few dollars, propped up by die-hard dead-ender BTC maxis. If you want to get rich on bitcoin, short it by buying a short bitcoin etf (example is ticker BITI - not financial advice). Doing anything else will result in losing investment.

Google this / do your own research - this is not "FUD", this is just sober fact. Bitcoin public keys can fall with QC's of just 1556 qubits. (Source: https://security.stackexchange.com/questions/33069/why-is-ecc-more-vulnerable-than-rsa-in-a-post-quantum-world ). Misinformation you hear is that it takes many qubits to crack RSA hence bitcoin is safe - this only relates to the bitcoin mining algorithm not the ECDSA algorithm used to relate public/private keys which is more vulnerable. Again - in 2 years or so IBM will have QC strong enough to reverse engineer private key from unhashed public key. When this happens panic will spread and bitcoin will crash. This is as predictable as the housing bubble collapse of 2008 and just like then, there are people who will shout "FUD" at anyone showing the plain and simple facts. Don't be on the wrong side of this.

Owners of four million Bitcoin (BTC), or 25% of all BTC, are susceptible to a quantum computer assault because they reuse BTC addresses or use public keys that have not been hashed.

Re: Why has bitcoin adoption failed in El Salvador?
by
camito
on 18/01/2023, 14:24:44 UTC
In addition to developing a national virtual wallet dubbed "chivo" (Salvadoran slang for "cool") that provides no-fee transactions and enables speedy cross-border payments, the program involves purchasing bitcoin with public funds. In a nation where most transactions are conducted in cash and where 70% of the population lacks access to standard financial services like bank accounts or credit cards, chivo was designed to provide a simple entry point for those who had never used the banking system.

Re: Why will Bitcoin have value?
by
camito
on 18/01/2023, 14:20:04 UTC
Scarce Resource
One of the main reasons for Bitcoin's value is that the supply of Bitcoin is limited.  21 million bitcoins will be supplied over 18 million bitcoins have already been mined.  Because the value of Bitcoin is determined by the ratio of supply and demand.  Day by day the demand for BTC is increasing and the number of Bitcoin holders is increasing due to the growing population and the price is likely to increase in the future.  Experts believe that competition between holders will increase the value of BTC in the future when the supply of Bitcoin reaches 21 million while mining Bitcoin will not.
Decentralised Network
Another important reason for BTC's value is that BTC is a fully decentralized networking system.  Centralized network systems could be controlled by governments like traditional currencies or controlled by one or more institutions, individuals and groups.  But since Bitcoin is a completely decentralized system, it cannot be controlled by the government, so Bitcoin is completely Freedom.
Store of Value/Not to be Inflation
Bitcoin works completely against inflation, especially since governments can't regulate it and cannot print it in a printing press like traditional paper money and therefore cannot increase its supply.  So it doesn't get inflation like normal currency. Due to lack of inflation common people can't keep in purchasing power thus Bitcoin's value is maintained.
Bitcoin's Utility & Growing Globally Adoption
Bitcoin's value is maintained as it is exchangeable with various products and day by day various circles, famous people, institutions, countries are recognizing Bitcoin around the world.  Moreover, various business organizations are accepting Bitcoin as a payment system for their business.  Because Bitcoin is such a global revolution, its value will always remain.

Over the years, a currency's notion of value has shifted from its physical characteristics to how quickly it is used in an economy.
Although Bitcoin exhibits certain characteristics of a money, its main source of value comes from its limited supply and rising demand.
If one bitcoin were to cost $514,000, its market capitalization would equal around 15% of the whole world's exchange market.

Re: A good way to promote Bitcoin or not?
by
camito
on 18/01/2023, 13:40:36 UTC
So my wife and i has a big wine 🍇 store and this includes other drinks as well, we sell in packs, and loads of people always come around to buy from us, I am thinking if this is a good opportunity to start promoting Bitcoin? I mean if some can pay Bitcoin for goods and services it will help even if they are few.

I believe this can make people start wondering what Bitcoin is and I will be waiting for questions like

What is bitcoin?

What benefits come from using it as payment?

Then I will give my answer and see if any people become more interested in it, some have heard about it but they have a wrong perspective of what Bitcoin is leading to believe it's a scam.  What do you think?
digital currency called bitcoin aspires to do away with the need for central authorities like banks or governments. Bitcoin, on the other hand, makes use of blockchain technology to enable user-to-user transactions on a decentralized network.

Using many senses to promote and getting ready for the fifth marketing paradigm
by
camito
on 09/01/2023, 08:36:05 UTC
four senses: sight, sound, smell, and taste.

How we perceive the world around us is determined by these five senses. Each one serves as a receptor for our brains to take in and process data. But how frequently do businesses stick to the first two? And how seldom do marketers tackle sensory stimulation scientifically?

Multisensory marketing takes a broader picture of sensory engagement than this constrained one. Raja Rajamannar, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer and President, Healthcare, Mastercard, delves further into marketing to all five senses in this episode and shares insightful advice on what it takes to become a top-tier marketing executive.

According to ClickZ Network publisher Andrew Bourland, the search engine will be sponsored by advertisements, with cost-per-thousand rates starting at $50 for general site searches and increasing up to $100 for specific keyword searches. Charter advertisers include DoubleClick and 24/7 ad rep firms.

Clickz Network How IoT is changing the retail industry in the future.
by
camito
on 09/01/2023, 06:39:12 UTC
The Internet of Things (IoT) solutions are dominating the retail business, which is undergoing a rapid shift. IoT has several uses and can help raise sales, provide a tailored experience for customers, and manage inventory better. Here, we look at a few of these use situations.
Retail businesses may offer customers a more individualized and engaging shopping experience thanks to digital signage. Retailers may amaze visitors and boost sales with the use of digital signage technologies like iPad screens, digital-out-of-home applications (DOOH), user-friendly touch screens, and in-store digital panels. Marketers can reduce expenses associated with traditional print advertising and increase client engagement by using digital signage solutions.
