Yes its still pretty early but i'm pretty sure a lot of people have heard about it by now.
The problem is that people think its very risky, and tend to stay away from the bitcoin space because of it.
They hear it on the news but they dont really got out of their way to put money into it

by

on 18/12/2014, 18:39:04 UTC
I've been given a bid of 2 btc for everything for a new alt-coin I'm thinking of starting. Wanted to see if anyone wants to go 50/50 on it as its will cost 2 btc for everything.

Which Includes:

Alt coin including all infra-structure, block chain, genesis blocks, wallets and more.

PM I'll tell you the purpose of the coin as it will have real use. Thanks!

Great idea! Different from fundraising projects which has appropriate matched skill-set team and idea.

Thanks Smiley

I think it is different and is something I've been thinking about for years so I'm busy going to try it out.

I created a small google doc  form for both people who have skills to people who have the ideas.

Should be unlocked: http://goo.gl/forms/vdtrqVtw6F

If I get a good response then I'll start working on a full blown website.

Been working on sort of a incubator funnel. We have soooo many talented people in the crypto world I figure it would be cool to have your skill sets get matched up with an idea that we can put into motion with the resources on the other side. Does this sound like a good idea ? People can create MVP's quickly, get feedback and overall just kick butt getting things going. I'm hoping to raise the funds for helping these small groups/companies for servers ,etc., etc., . At some point. just throw this all into a DAC.

Nice idea, but an online incubatr would be a difficult idea, if the company is not registered or regulated.

Thanks. Will you mean the incubater or the companies that come through it ?

Could just decentralized the incubater.

So many members seem to be asking over and over again the same questions.
I feel like it is time to try and get some actual information.

here's my plan

http://www.gofundme.com/InvestigateGAW

raise funds
put funds into an escrow account to pay the PI
hire Pinkerton Security to investigate GAW
hold a public presentation also hosted online
the PI will present their findings.

check the campaign for updates and particulars.

it doesnt cost money or time to set up a IRC channel.

so why not simply set up a gateway channel
webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#cryptoideanoob
for instance which is the unmoderated noob general chatter.

and then just by changing the hashtag you can instantly make new channels.
webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#cryptoideaintermed - moderated
webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#cryptoideaadvanced - moderated and invite only

if small groups want to form private chats they can set up their own private chats
webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#cryptoidea1
webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#cryptoidea2
.....
webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#cryptoidea1000

it aint rocket science.. the hardest part is thinking up good channel names

I hear you Franky. The money aspect was to prevent trolls , but I hear what you are saying. I like what you are proposing here. Anyone know of good IRC chat software?

there have been IRC groups around various crypto related endeavors. I personally like IRC BUT you will need to Moderate it heavily. You can see how abusive people become in here, and they supposedly had plenty of time to think, compose, and consider what they post first.

I'd participate if the name calling were to be minimised. And the trolling. And the shilling. And the...you get the point.

Let us know when its up and running, or maybe make it invite only? maybe a newbie jail to see if they can behave? Trolls can be amusing, but they are not constructive.

Right, I was thinking of how the quality of chat could be improved. I don't want people to think its all about hammer bans. I was thinking of "invite only" or pay a little bit of BTC but get returned once we know you aren't a troll . Would that work ?

Can you use a service like Sedo for the sale?

I think it's better to do so.

I have an account with SEDO although not sure how to use it really. But, you are saying this will protect it ?

They want me to use http://dn-tools.domaincertifications.net/certification.htm to verify I own it and no Trademark ( but, i have to pay for it ) which makes me suspect.

I don't think that website is legit:

http://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/domaincertifications.net

Thanks for the heads up! figured something was up!

I guess that's the scam, they bait you with a big sale for a domain and require you to buy that 'certification', you buy the 'certification' and that's it, they got that money.

Yup! plus, they probably steal more information from you upon signing up . I just wrote back to him the site is a scam , made a bigger offer to pay for the domain/told him to pay for the certification + I'm doing the transaction on SEDO if anything lol .... I won't be hearing from them I bet.

[ANN] Sell Bitcoins to your Paypal account via CashCrypto
by
cashcrypto
on 13/11/2014, 20:50:39 UTC
Hello Bitcoin Community,

We are Cashcrypto.com which lets you exchange Bitcoins for cash via Paypal instantly.

So you are probably asking what is the advantage using our service over an exchange ?

  • No need to sign-up for an exchange.
  • No need to submit verification ID's to an exchange.
  • No need to meet face-to-face.
  • Easy and hassle-free way to get cash for your Bitcoins.
  • Protect your Bank accounts from closures.
  • Protect your Bank accounts from closures.
  • One simple flat-rate fee.

How can you do this?

With PayPal we never carry a balance with them as we are simply using cards tied to the account to send you the amount of BTC you sold to us.

NOTE: We are not a service that sells BITCOINS for Paypal we are the opposite!
