Right now the price seems to predictably bounce between 60 and 80 dollars, but Bitstamp is already getting ddos'ed again so 20 does not seem that impossible.

That is definitely true. Looks promising though, especially that you have an API already. Could be documented better(than nothing) Tongue

Re: Offering PayPal for Bitcoin? You're likely to be labeled a scammer - Read why

Isn't the risk of buying bitcoins with paypal the same risk as buying anything else with paypal?  What is considered to be the safest way to do this other than going to someone in person and making sure you get the cash in hand?

When buying material things, there is recorded delivery, posting receipt that can be used as evidence for the dispute by the seller. There is no evidence left to show paypal that you have sent your money, however even if there was, i think buying btc is against paypal rules aniway so..

I would say the safest way would be to open an account in a currency exchange (mt gox, btc-e, etc) and buy/sell from there since they will intermediate the exchange and you have no contact with the buyer or seller.
Aside from the ethical questions with paypal policy, you can always let them transfer your spare balance to your "real" bank account to then buy btc through a trustworthy exchange.
Also, btc-otc of you absolutely want to lose your paypal dollars Grin

if i were the asic maker, i would use the devices to mine coins first, and not ship out the devices until the hashing difficulty is much much higher.

why sell the gold egg laying hens?
Avalon have decided to do exactly that with their next batch afaik...
And even if BFL was shipping in the near future, they would be much less profitable than what the "buyers"(pre-orderers) anticipated, considering their exaggerated power consumption.

Re: Where to buy Litecoin

What is the best way to buy LTC?  Is it BTC-e or Vercurex? How about diversifying by doing a BTC for LTC trade?  Obviously want to minimize fees.

The easiest way for me was to buy btc, then exchange them at vircurex or btc-e for litecoins.

hold on a second. there is not enough info on ltc forum. serious ltc miner scan only find relevant info here. please understand.

we don't need to pump any other digital currencies here. the legit ones will stay, weak ones will fade out. Pumping won't make any currency come true. it's supply and demand, and the underlying security and privacy.

I must say I don't like this newbie restriction, but that's life.
Like on stackoverflow, quality before quantity I'd say.
