NEVER use a SATA to PCIe connector - don't know who the hell thought of that idea but that is just asking for a problem since the SATA connectors were never designed to deliver that much power.
How much power is SATA cable rated for? I have 5830's that's undervolted, and was thinking of using SATA to PCI-E power cables.
Well I am at 81 GHs, and no more cards for me, not because I am afraid, but because they will have to build a new nuclear power plant just for me . And than it most likely wont be free power....

Don't!!! It can handle no more than 5 amps so no more than 50-60W. And the connector is the problem, not the cable, the connecting surface is too small.
been running 5830s on sata->pcie power connectors for over a year. no problems.
My 7950s (well some of them), are heavily undervolted, and they run fine on those adapters, but... I woudnt try to run a 5 series on them, they are power hungry bastards
Undervolted 5830 pulls about 120w? If it is 50-60w per SATA connector, then I should be fine. Use one original PCI-E, then one SATA to PCI-E on the 5830. Also, I can always put the SATA connector on cards that run off of PCI-Ex16 slots. Since it is NOT the cable that's the issue, but more the connector, I should be fine hooking up 2x SATA to PCI-E on the same line that came off the power supply. You know, each cable have like 3-4 SATA connections.

@darkpandora way to go, keeping ur card really cool!
Yes , I was interested to know this : The gift codes are legit or not?
@sofia26 can you reply ?
i don't know sorry i buy from another person but they give no problem (Or if there is an error I will replace a new card) i have sold alot cards so far and they even came back many times
Was the issue with chungenhung's cards ever resolved?
All my customer to understand about @chungenhung, I've sold 2 gift for him. After he used up the balance on the card, and he came back saying that I should return the money.
I can only refund if my card is go bad, did you read the first post of this thread I have said very clearly on this issue.
Im sure this guy @cookiemonsterwhat and @chungenhung tried to do my business in trouble.
you forgot to mention that starbucks found out the cards were questionable, and order got cancelled. You then posted the card numbers on this thread, and someone (maybe yourself) used up the remaining balance on the card.
Get back my $200 and I will remove the negative trust rating
Helli iWin, we've trade 1 day ago, why don't pay for $100 starbucks gift card?
I go fist and you said you will pay around 1,5 hour. But unstill now over 1 day ago, you're online and then offline. I have not recieve respond from you.
Simply take your codes and convert them to physical cards at any SB store then either add them back to your account or use them as is. Old code is gone, problem solved despite the fact there never was a problem.....other than supposedly for you.
Note: This will not prevent the new physical cards from being shut down by Starbucks because they can track the codes but it will stop fraudulent use by others who may have your codes.
lol..... the person sold it to you have the code.....
