ATTENTION: Anyone mining at cncoin.farm, watch out for increased fees. I'd like people to spread the hash around. Looks like some solo mining has dropped off or something. I'll wait a bit and see how it goes, but I think I should just up it to 3% now as a kicker.

If you haven't already gone past that point, your history isn't saved in Windows anyway (unless something changed in windows 8 I guess).  You probably just don't want to add the --password option anyway, and just type it in. It just means if you put it on the command line like --password "MySecret" then someone could come to your computer and hit the up arrow to get to that password. Just don't set that and it will ask you for a password. You don't have to sync. Just send to that address.

I wouldn't use it. Just download the latest build which I think includes the 128MB scratchpad from the github: https://github.com/cryptozoidberg/cpuminer-multi

Latest build was from Aug 31, 2014 well before that patch.
The only one built for Windows I think is mbk's. It's smart to not trust random stuff, though, so if you don't trust this, just use mbk's releases https://github.com/mbkuperman/cpuminer-multi-opencl/releases

Actually, I think you can just install the opencl sdk for it to work, from here: http://developer.amd.com/tools-and-sdks/opencl-zone/amd-accelerated-parallel-processing-app-sdk/

I just did a custom install and picked only the opencl sdk part and unchecked all the rest. See if that works. I know it's not the most convenient, but please let me know if you try it and if it works so I know.

I think there are now 2 blocks that did not count by wallet. Because the balance before solomining is 10BBR.


Looks like these two bolded ones were orphaned. I can't look them up at chainradar.com Sad

Edit: I didn't see that question before about the solo intensity setting. You may want to message mbk for that info. I'm not sure.

Not sure the speed. You can create a shortcut to the wallet executable and add those to the end in the shortcut properties, then again if cz fixed the seed nodes you shouldn't have to anymore.

Why is this crazy?

  • 3% of available BBR supply bought for 8.5 BTC ($1900 at today's prices)

At today's rate,

  • 3% of available XMR supply costs 220 BTC
  • 3% of available DRK supply costs 1225 BTC

Exactly 5 months ago,

  • 8.5 BTC (worth around $4000 at the time) would not have bought 8.5k BBR, let alone 85k BBR.

I guess one man's crazy is another man's calculated gamble...

Try `minerd --help' for more information.

Yeah, something else is wrong there. It might have been compiled with some cpu specific options. You can use mbk's miner and just make sure to set -a wildkeccak if you want to mine on cpu or use the executable in the easy miner.

Same with me , I have been unable to use that cpuminer version too. But there is boolberr-easy-miner 1.1 that works flawlessly either using gpu or cpu, you just need to change the wallet addres file(the one with *.txt extension) with yours if you dont want to use autogenerated wallet.

Oh, great to hear it works for you with both cpu and gpu! I hadn't received much feedback about that. About your other question, to become a large part of the network, you would need much more hashrate to get a more stable block rate.

I believe that came from Onishin in #monero-pools when he posted it there about monero's wallet doing that a while ago.   Haven't had to restart because of this issue since doing this. Now not being able to make a payment because of dust and transaction being too large bites me all the time.

I'm just talking about the the crypto class in the code. There was a section of the code trying to access crypto.data, and it was by default private, I assume. I just set it to protected instead so the code would work. Not sure about any security implications there. Just letting scruffy know what I had to do. It's in my diff what files were changed. I was just using his github repo that he posted.


As far as changes, I think it would be very nice to have the gui wallet check if a daemon is already running, since it just sits there and says "Wait, please..." if a daemon was running when you ran the gui wallet. Also, it just sticks when you close it and doesn't let go of the console. What tools are you guys building this gui in? I am no c++ dude, but I may be able to help with small stuff.
