We will be implementing Revenue Reinvestment on March 7, 2014 and we have lowered the price from $12.19 per GH/s to $9.00 per GH/s!

This means that you will receive significantly more hashing power for your RRP than previously announced.  We wanted to reward our loyal customers who have been so instrumental in our success and have stood by us as we have matured and developed as a company.  Thank you!

CloudHashing.com Announces Mt. Gox Customer Relief Effort

AUSTIN, Texas (PRWEB) March 05, 2014

Leading Bitcoin mining company CloudHashing.com has announced a Mt. Gox customer relief effort by offering an exclusive discount on mining contracts to distressed Mt. Gox customers.

Mt. Gox customers can start earning Bitcoins immediately after purchasing a CloudHashing.com mining contract.

As reported by Wired's Robert McMillan in "The Inside Story of Mt. Gox, Bitcoin’s $460 Million Disaster" the longstanding Bitcoin exchange recently disclosed massive losses.

CloudHashing.com employee Lukas Gilkey, among several others, personally lost more than $40,000 overnight when Mt. Gox became insolvent. Gilkey and the CloudHashing.com team developed the Mt. Gox relief effort to support others like himself.

"I was angry and outraged by what happened, and I know many feel the same way. I wanted to create something to help people like me," said Gilkey. "If we can come together as a community and help pick others up when they're down, it will say a lot about who we are as a group and our commitment to one another's success."

Mt. Gox customers should email Relief@CloudHashing.com with proof that they held an account with the exchange. Acceptable verification includes email correspondence or other communication (with account numbers or other sensitive information hidden) to qualify for the exclusive discount.

CloudHashing.com invites other Bitcoin businesses to launch similar initiatives to support the Bitcoin community.

"The Bitcoin community is a large family, and when a significant portion of this family is hurt, we need to rally behind them. As a trusted and established Bitcoin company, we felt an obligation to act. We believe in Bitcoin, and we believe in the Bitcoin community. We hope others will follow our lead," said Emmanuel Abiodun, CloudHashing.com's chief executive officer.

Bitcoin is an increasingly popular online currency and technology that is changing the way many are purchasing things online in the same way the Internet revolutionized how people connect to one another.

CloudHashing.com's announcement comes on the heels of the company being featured in the New York Times article "Into the Bitcoin Mines" and in Data Center Knowledge "As Bitcoin Infrastructure Booms, Mining Heads to the Data Center"

Cloudhashing.com is a Bitcoin mining technology company where customers can purchase mining contracts and earn bitcoins via their website with no technical knowledge. It is a pioneer in the Bitcoin industry and was the first to introduce cloud-based Bitcoin mining. The London-based company has thousands of customers worldwide.

Re: Anyone hashing yet with TerraMine Hosting (powered by Cloudhashing)?

Anyone hashing yet with TerraMine Hosting (powered by Cloudhashing)?  Anyone have a phone number for customer service or been to their hosting center in Texas?

I'm part of the Cointerra early January batch and got an email notifying me that my miner shipped on 24 February and should be 'alive and hashing'.  But when I go to the Cloudhashing portal for TerraMine hosting customers, no contracts display and it seems no hashing is going on.  I have also tried reaching out to the Cloudhashing business development rep - the only phone number I have for Cloudhashing.... crickets.   I created the Cloudhashing account using the same email that I used for my Cointerra order so I don't think that's the problem.  I also haven't received any help from either support group.  Have I been scammed?

some interesting facts:

'According to TerraMine Hosting's homepage:
"Our hosting partners work with data-centers which are located in very close proximity to CoinTerra’s manufacturing facilities. This allows them to deploy your systems immediately upon exiting the manufacturing facility."Did anyone get a proper shipping receipt to track their order from Cointerra?  Did anyone get their miner hashing the same day it 'exited the manufacturing facility'?

CloudHashing claimed to have a 'bitcoin' center in Austin, TX and even posted job openings for the site (]https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=173316.1340].  However, you won't find Austin mentioned anywhere on their main website and you also won't find any companies registered under the name CloudHashing, Cloud Hashing, TerraMiner Hosting, TerraMinerHosting, or Terra Miner Hosting in the state of Texas - either directly or as a fictitious name..  Just ring the Texas Secretary of State at 512-463-5555 (http://www.sos.state.tx.us/corp/publicinfo.shtml) and ask like I did the other day. So it seems Cointerra = TerraMine Hosting who farmed out hosting to CloudHashing (a UK company) who, if operating legally in the State of Texas, is doing so under some other company name.  Am I missing something?

Sorry to hear you have been having difficulties using our service.

Please PM me and I will take care of your query ASAP.

We will be implementing Revenue Reinvestment on March 7 at the price of $12.19 per GH/s. We have already calculated the estimated hashing power this will require, and we will have the capacity to implement it then, so we won't run into the issue we suffered through last time.

Today's email to customers.

Cloud Hashers,

We have been slowly but surely bringing more than a thousand machines online, totaling in excess of multiple Petahashes, and we will be working on that as long as it takes to do so.  We had wanted to have this ready for you no later than January 31st, but our supplier was delayed in shipping us our equipment, and so we unfortunately have had to delay the customer RRP hashing power until we have had enough hashing power available to add it to all of our customers' accounts.

The way it works is that we receive our new equipment from our suppliers and then must install and test the equipment in our datacenters.  It's a considerable amount of technical work, and we appreciate everyone's patience as we break new ground with new hashing power.

We hope we will be able to implement the RRP very soon, and will work working tirelessly around the clock to bring this new hashing power online in order to do so.

We also understand that the price of Bitcoin has dropped since Jan. 31, largely due to worries about Mt. Gox and the situation there.  We pledge to use the Jan. 31 Bitcoin price of $803 when we implement RRP for January.  Despite the temporary dip in Bitcoin's price, we feel strongly that our customers should not be hurt by our supplier's delay.  So please look forward to us implementing your RRP at the January 31 price instead of the current market price.

The RRP program has become so popular that it takes hundreds and hundreds of terahashes brought online to implement it fairly to all of our customers simultaneously.  We ask that you please bear with us as we increase our hashing power and then implement the RRP hashing power.

As always, we are very grateful to each and every one of you for your understanding and support.

The CloudHashing.com team

We will implement RRP once we have enough capacity to do so.  We currently don't have the capacity to implement it across the board, which is how it's implemented.  We have some really amazing gear coming online, and you will see our pool vastly expand accordingly.  This will benefit our customers who mine in our pool.  Sure we wish it were sooner, in accordance with our suppliers' projections, but we are in the position of having to rely on our suppliers and have to adjust our dates in accordance with what they are telling us and what we're receiving.  Unless we became our own ASIC manufacturing company, we'd have no way of avoiding this, unfortunately.

We are absolutely not waiting until the price of Bitcoin reaches some level before doing anything.  We, like all of you, want BTC to go to the moon.  We would absolutely love to be able to do RRP and BTC be twice what it currently is.  That would benefit everyone, and most importantly our customers.

Our newest newsletter below.

Cloud Hashers,

Happy New Year! We hope 2014 will be a breakthrough year for Bitcoin! We have some updates on everything going on here at CloudHashing.com and we wanted you to be the first to know.

 CloudHashing.com's hashing power to increase

Over the next month or so we will be bringing more than 2 Petahashes online. This marks a huge increase in hashing power. We've partnered with industry leading ASIC manufacturers to create the absolute best hashing environment for our customers. For our earliest customers, we thank you so much for your early adoption of cloud mining with us. Your commitment with us made it possible for us to plan this rollout of new hashing power because it had to be carefully planned months in advance. The result is that CloudHashing.com's pool will be one of the only ones in the Bitcoin mining space to dramatically increase over the next month. This should translate into more blocks per day, and ongoing benefits to each of our customers. We are very excited about this rollout, and we hope you are too. Continue looking on the top of our website and watch as the hashing power increases as we bring the new ASICs online.

Slight Delay in RRP this month

We had hoped to have the RRP activated by the 19th of January however delays in manufacturing have pushed the date back a few weeks. You can still earn RRP hashing power at the low rate of $15/gigahash until activation. We hope to activate before the end of January and will keep you posted once we have a solid date.

CloudHashing.com has hired more customer support

We have recently hired even more customer support team members, and we know you're seeing a huge difference in our response times. Our goal is to offer you as prompt customer service as we possibly can, and we have come a long way in a very short period of time. We sincerely appreciate all of our early customers who were patient with our customer support as we ramped it up. We want to be known as a great customer support company, and we are now answering your emails within hours, not days or weeks. We will continue to improve our customer service until it's the best in the industry.

 CloudHashing.com partners with children's charity

Because of our loyal customers like you, we have been able to partner with a wonderful children's charity Songs of Love that helps children and teens who are sick. It's an amazing charity, and we want to thank you for giving us the ability to do this. Without you, we would not be able to support such a wonderful cause. Read more about it here: http://www.prweb.com/releases/Bitcoin/Charity/prweb11470892.htm

 CloudHashing.com in 2014

We have so many exciting things lined up for 2014. If you haven't already done so, please join the CloudHashing.com community on Facebook and Twitter. We discuss CloudHashing.com and also the Bitcoin space in general. It's a wonderful way to connect with other Cloud Hashers.

 Sincerely,
 The Cloud Hashing team

The vast majority of our customers are very satisfied, and that's why we have had so many return customers and repeat buyers.  I think some on this thread seem to have strange motives for constantly attacking us in the way they do.

Why so emotionally invested in a company?  Strange.

We are a champion for Bitcoin, and we benefit our customers and anyone who holds Bitcoin.

If you have odd emotional reasons to not use our service, then simply don't use our service.

But please don't turn the thread into a venting session.  It's unhelpful to the Bitcoin cause and it's an odd way to spend one's free time.

CloudHashing.com offers cloud-based Bitcoin mining contracts to those who don't want to hassle with buying their own gear and dealing with the additional costs of hardware maintenance, electricity costs, maintenance, shipping promises unfulfilled etc.

We had a rather rocky launch, which we've admitted, but as pioneers in a business we've learned from our mistakes and gotten better.  Not sure what else we are supposed to do but learn and grow.  That's what people who start businesses do.

If someone feels they can get a better deal than with us, then by all means go that route.

Our customers want a turnkey solution to get into Bitcoin mining, and that's what we provide, and provide well.

In addition to this, we have been on the forefront of Bitcoin advocacy by trying to make Bitcoin as mainstream and popular through our many radio/TV/print interviews/ads, and we plan to do even more in the future.

We pay out as promised, and we're a stable company that's going to be around for a long time.  We hope that everyone sees the value of Bitcoin go much higher this year.

We think Bitcoin much more than doubles this year.  What do you all think?  Christmas Day 2014, will Bitcoin be at $3,000?  $4,000?  $5,000?

Unless you're some kind of day-trader with short-term goals, everyone's making ROI and then some.

ok cool. is there a way for you guys to make rrp cheaper per ghs?  additional ghs given from rrp lasts only one year.  so probably a reduction in price is good for the customers.

cex.io offers around 35usd per ghs. ghs at ch's rrp is 15usd per ghs. i really think you guys can make it cheaper for your customers.

We price our RRP based on market prices and our cost of delivery (full hosting, electricity etc).  Our next RRP is just $15 per gigahash.  We think this is a really good deal compared to other hardware manufacturer's promises for a (lack of) January delivery.  We are the only game in town in Jan/Feb as far as significant increases of hashing power goes.  We think our customers will be pleasantly surprised.

I wish we could offer everyone even lower RRP prices, but we are at the mercy of the market as a business.  We will always try our very best to offer existing customers the best deal we can.  We want to bring Bitcoin to everyone, and we appreciate the thousands of customers who are on this journey with us.

cloudhashing is offering 15 usd per ghs thru rrp and is available til jan. 19. cex.io is at .043 per ghs, that is around 34 usd per ghs.

is it a good time to load up my rrp?
I made 0.01 in 36 days with 4.5 Ghs (5GHs less %10 of Reinvestment) and I made 0.01 in 10 days with 3.5Ghs with cex.io (plus the other coins). I don't know why...

really?  this needs looking into. does anyone else get a higher return in cex.io compared to cloudhashing?

cloudhasher, can you please explain why this is the case?

There are so many factors that go into Bitcoin mining that it's hard to compare apples to apples.  Currently they have a larger pool which means that one of their pool members will solve a block and share with the pool more often than one of our members, because of pool size.  It also means that the individual share received per block is smaller on theirs.

The other difference is that their pool isn't like ours in that most of their pool is individual miners with their own hardware, where ours is completely ours.

We are ramping ours up now and over the next few weeks you'll see a seismic shift in pool size.  We will not always be the biggest, but we will always consistently pay out and create a profitable environment for our customers.  We don't aim to be the biggest pool, but we do aim to consistently pay out on all blocks solved and offer a Revenue Reinvestment Plan which is unique in the industry.

It's a personal decision whether or not to use our service or not.  We hope you choose to based on our track record of paying out as promised.

To cloudhasher,

I too am very happy to be using your services, I agree that you have greatly improved your operations but I do have a question:

I really miss having my total number of mining power in the dashboard. I hate to have to sum up all my contracts for the total amount especially if you're always adding more contracts through the RRP Program. Would it be possible if you can add the total amount of Hashing Power back to the dashboard just like the old interface used to?

Thanks for your time

Crypto,

So you're saying that you want one place on the new dashboard that totals your current hashing power right?  If so, I'll let our management know.  I agree that that was cool on our previous dashboard.  Please let me know if I have this right.

cloudhashing vs cex

I think cex is better value, you can get a GHs less expensively, you can redeem your own hardware miner, you can buy and sell your GHs instantaneously, and most of all, you get to decide how long or short you own the GHs. Cloudhashing is for the math-challenged, low -IQ folks.

James,

Your referral link kind of betrays your objectivity.

Please keep the questions coming.  We only get better as we receive feedback.  We want each and every customer to fully understand how CloudHashing.com works, because we want you to trust in what we're doing.  Even if someone chooses to do their own hardware mining, we want them to understand how we operate and what we offer so there is no confusion.

Can you please elaborate on these two justifications.  I'm having a hard time understanding the reasoning behind making the RRP contracts expire after one year.

  1. "because that would drive up the cost per Gigahash for RRP to a level that would make the program too expensive for our customers."

How does reinvesting revenues drive up the cost of hashing power?  Why does it matter where the BTC comes from?  Seems to me that it shouldn't matter if the BTC that are being used to purchase available hashing power are coming from the RRP or elsewhere.  Is hashing power sold through RRP sold at a discount?

  2. "Additionally, if we somehow tied the RRP contract to previous contracts, it would significantly lower our customers' RRP contract ROI each month as the deadline of the original contract approached."

I guess this is assuming #1 is true?  I thought hashing power was getting cheaper per GH as new mining hardware comes to market.

Shawshank,

Maybe I didn't do a good job of explaining.  What I meant was that if the RRP lasted two years, it would make us have to raise the rates per Gigahash.  For example, in January we have announced a $15 per Gigahash RRP.  It would be higher if it lasted longer, and we don't think that our customers want to make that tradeoff.

On your second question, imagine that you buy a two-year contract and that the RRP expires at the two-year mark regarless of when you invest.  That would effectively mean that you would only want to do RRP for the first few months of the two-year contract because who would do RRP at say the 16 month mark only to have it expire a few months later.

By making each RRP contract a separate contract altogether, it makes it easier for people to decide if and how they want to participate.  It's completely voluntary one way or another.

If I am still not clear, please let me know and I'll try to explain it better.

Michael
