Why downloading the Chain? You can Connect via Lite Mode

i see my coins in lite mode, but thought downloading chain, or importing priv key and rescanning or re indexing would help find my supernets., i think it helped me in the past.

import key, says wallet rescan is finished...
but still says loading data please wait (in native)

hello komodo community, longtime lurker here, rare poster. i am stuck in my own confusion, i recently upgraded to agama v 0.3.2a-beta... i did this because i was unable to claim interest, new version worked and cam claim interest again, but i can't find my couple of supernet unity coins. working on a mac agama wallet.

what i know:
i have my private key, i see my kmd when i open in lite mode, but not native. why is this?

what i fear:
i never saved a private key for supernet, am i lost for good?

what i think i know:
i haven't lost my supernet (unity) i hope, but i can't find them by activating them in either lite or native as i used to be able to do this in an older version (perhaps it was 2.3-ish) what is the trick to seeing my couple of supernets?

super looking forward to the agama ios app in the app store!!!
many thanks for any help that is offered.

are your SuperNet Asset stored on the same KMD Adress? If Yes, then add SuperNet on "activate Coin" Menu

yes, in my past agama upgrades, activate coin was the way it worked, i am giving a shot on re-downloading the blockchain, but forgetting how to do that, that may solve my issue. as soon i remember how to do this, maybe my issue will be resolved.

thanks Vaelin (you golden god), I found the location. it was in User, then mostly all the folders you mentioned. Coins came back after a blockchain rescan.

updates are always a nerve wracking process for me.

I am pleased it worked for you.

Do you have your seed written down somewhere? That would be my go to solution if I couldn't figure out what to do with the .dat file. You should have it anyway incase your hard drive corrupts/laptop gets stolen. You don't want to leave that up to fate.

pardon my ignorance, what's a seed?

A seed is a 12 to 24 word phrase that you can use to restore your wallet. As long as you have those words, you will always be able to restore your wallet. Most wallets have an option to restore when you first load it. You would just type those words in and it will generate your private key.

That seed should be the foundation of your financial security in crypto. If you don't have that seed, you are skating on thin ice.

Find the seed (which you should be able to make visible somewhere in the Dash core wallet), write it down, then keep it somewhere very safe. Keep in mind that if anyone else gets a hold of that seed, they can rapidly steal all your coins.

Thank you, I am skating on thin ice Sad

I don't know my word phrase. I'll see if it is possible to still figure this out.

I don't use a dash software wallet (I have a ledger nano s), but I imagine you need to drop the .dat file somewhere in application support.

Go to Finder. Hit Cmd+shift+G. Enter ~/library/application support then look for a Dash folder. You probably need to drop it in there somewhere.

Thank you Valien, makes sense. I'll give it a shot.

Hi,

A little help, long time lurker, 2nd time poster.

I updated my dash wallet, it has re synced but i have no coins. I made a back up before i updated. What do i do with my dat file to get my coins back? thanks for any help.

Which wallet are you using? Did you put the .dat file back in its old place? If so, has the new wallet finished scanning the blockchain?

Yes, new wallet has finished scanning to the block chain.

.dat file is still on my desktop, i am unsure where i need to put .dat file

I am using apple OS X

currently installed Dash Core version v0.12.1.2 (64-bit)
