For what Ethereum Classic is still exists?
There are a lot of Ethereum killers now: Solana, Tron, Cardano... etc

Do they have a plan? How do they plan to compete with the progressive coins above?
Or are they just a slowly dying legacy? What's stopping them from dying and disappearing into oblivion?

Re: How long does it take to sync these monero wallets?

it may take a few hours to sync.
Even the mobile version called Monerujo takes time, you have to leave the phone for a while to fully sync, if you run other apps on the phone while the sync is going on it will slow down the syncing process.
Is there a lightweight client for monero? Like electrum for bitcoin?

why not buy a laptop for that purpose
No thanks, I've read enough about built-in Intel Me backdoor technology already.
Secondly Windows 11 itself is a leaky backdoor. Thirdly Ubuntu has long had telemetry that leaks everything

or get yourself a hardware wallet at once.
Are you sure all crosschains and swaps support hardware wallets?

I had a hardware wallet. I needed to buy some tokens. I went to the official site where these tokens are sold, click the "Connect wallet" button and in the list that appears, only metamask and other top wallets are visible, but my hardware wallet was not there.

remember your Google play was connected to the Internet and that has a central server where they store all informations, including your private keys if stored on your device.
thanks
I think I'll delete google and I'll only use those wallets that are downloadable without google play

(correctly) airgapped computer > Hardware wallet > rooted and well-configured android > iPhone > android
I think I'll deny all traffic totally and allow network access only for the one wallet in android

If anyone has experience managing wallets on Android, tell me if your funds have disappeared some time?

Has the Android system spying for private keys?

I mean on a pure Android without any apps excepting crypto wallets

What about services like chain analysis? It seems like all transactions of one address are analyzed there?

I just want to ask you, OP, why do you want to use Dex?
I do not trust CEX. I operate with small amounts, so I'm looking for the cheapest swap (dex) and cheapest L2 network.

personally I just don't bother I just go to the most crowded L2 just for the sake of liquidity.

because imagine you are paying low fee yet the slippage is 5%, you literally lost the 5%.
It's a good advice.

How to find the most crowded L2? How to determine that L2 is crowded? Sorry for noob question

You're coming from forex background?
that's right

Cause that's what I used to ask also coming into crypto the first time, but no, on a simple long/short spot trade, there are absolutely no fees. If you're paying any in any kind of spot trading, you're being scammed.
thanks a lot for info

Are there any everyday fees on holding short at crypto-exchanges?

Are there any restrictions on holding short in the form of time limits (1 month, 1 year, 5 years) at crypto-exchanges?

If I need to swap a token from the Ethereum network for Tether in the Polygon network? What will be serve as gas? Polygon or Ethereum? Or Polygon and Ethereum at the same time (The double fee? Will be taken from both networks at once)?

No, you shouldn't pay double fees. You just need to pay for the transaction you're sending...

So for a swap from Polygon USDT to Arbitrum USDC for example, you would need to pay the gas fees in POL/MATIC. Or at least that's how my experience was with cross chain swapping.
As far as I understand you, in my case I will be charged for gas in Ethereum? (Since I am swapping 1000 Tokens from the Ethereum network for USDT in the Polygon network)

What serves as gas at QuickSwap DEX?

I am in confusion.

Should I transfer Quickswap coin to the wallet and it will serve as gas at QuickSwap?

Or I should transfer POL (ex-MATIC) coin to the wallet and it will serve as gas at QuickSwap?

Or am I mistaken and the gas at QuickSwap DEX is an Ethereum?
