I'm in awe of the density and power of the SP30 mine. But really, is that the best you can do with the cables?
Exactly what I was thinking! All that money and that's what they do with cabling? Geesh.
after setting all that up and hooking everything up...getting them all running...I'd do the same thing with the cables
screw it, it works i'm tired...maybe he'll finish it up later? even then i wouldn't...i'd be glued to my mining pool watching them mine heheAwesome. Now we've moved on to discussing freaking cloud mining in a "Pictures of your mining rigs!" thread.

I never got a damaged package but every time I order I remind myself to kill the guy if he tries to hand me something like that.
Usually electronics is packed in a plastic bag to stop the moisture so KNC fucked up here, you were lucky. They should start wrapping them in foil, maybe even using double packaging (a small box wrapped in plastic inside a bigger cardboard that works as a bumper). It's really worth it if you're sending something worth over a thousand $. The cost of another box would be what? $5?

if they skimped on .16cent more for 50a vrm for neppys...ya really think they gona do all that to make sure your stuff gets there in one piece? also don't forget every piece they ship hurts their DC so they really don't want it to get there in one piece B looks like it would get rained on. Here is my open air setup of S2s running on an empty apartment that I own.
(Local laws WILL make me loose the apartment if I rent it, that´s why I mine there).
It has been running without issue for a few months. It has rained over there a few times without issues so far.
The only thing that really becomes an issue is the dust. I do need to go over there every 3 weeks to clean them with an air compressor.
The image has low quality because I took it from the security camera. I could take better pictures the next time i go there if you´r interested.
The rack it´s located at about 2.5 meters from the balcony.

I keep the warehouse at 88F. My 15,000cfm blower is going in tuesday to remove the heat. I actually have 60 tons of AC already installed but I don't turn them on because they use too much power. I use 1 AC unit to keep the building at 88F during the day.
What kind of blower is that?
Any idea of how much KW it might be able to cool?
Well I am using a Helios KRD 500 wich pulls around 5650cfm and "drains" my pocket with 1,72kW so you do the math.
My fan is more than enough to cool 100 ATI Radeon 280X/290 cards on SCrypt, I can bet it can cool twice that, if I had better air ducts (im using a 50x50 air duct and a adapter)
dayum...why didn't ya just get a cheap attic heat exhaust fan like me? 1300cfm should be nuff to vent the heat of those cards...it's handling 4kw heat for me

if its an apt. you ain't running big rigs...apt. don't have that much power you can tap into...unless your using the whole apt. to try n mine with, n then you probably won't be able to use much of anytyhing that uses power etc. tv, toaster, microwave...hehe unless you tap into the circuit breaker box and wire your own setup...but even then i doubt there is enough power...
Normaly just mine with 3-5x S1 ants and buy new as i resell them, but bought a bigger stack of miners than normal so time to setup a shelf i guess

The 12x 310gh/s will generate around 3900w so need to figure out some cooling.
Got 2windows in my storage room so gone put up a shelf between them and play mcgyver with some ducttape/duct/fans.
Just need to figure out how much air i need to move...
i am guessing that funeling 2 miners (620watt) into a fan each would be a drop in the sea? 336cfm total.

Best ive found sofar is a 10" 72watt 2300rpm, rated 800m3, 2 of them would give 941cfm.
not too bad pricewise at 30$ each.

good luck with that...hell i'd just try a walmart special fan in the window...like the big ones...not a box fan and point the miners towards it
and see how it handles it...course depending on where ya live...or maybe buy 2 hehe and get a wind tunnel going Time to get back to topic!

Few questions about your setup:
Why is the pcb tilted instead of flat?
How are you dealing with the pressure? Any vents?
And do you think it would work without the peltier cooler assistance?
The PCB is tilted for no reason. It just kind of sat that way due to the cables pulling on it a little.
There is space at the top for pressure to escape.
Sure it would work without the peltier chip in an open bath. You will lose fluid over time though if you don't condense it.
I am using a much bigger box for my final unit and hopefully I can fit 20-25 Neptune cards in the box with a very large radiator.
I will add them 5 at a time until I can't dissipate the heat anymore.

So you are pretty much maxed then with 50+A on those vrms?
It looks like it. Every time I try and go higher voltage the die's get errors and shut down. I will keep testing though.
actually your lucky to get 50a outta them...OCP is suppose to be 48a...those vrms are only the 40a model but i'm pretty sure ya knew all this...at those volts with those temps...that is really really nice!!! so how much does a stock neppy get vs yer oc'd ov'd monster get?

That's never gonna work with those AC units lol
That could very easily work - depends on the ambient. If it's in a polar region there's no need for AC - just vent the top off and use good filtration. Problem is we can't what's off the picture, perhaps they have evap coolers.
the a/c could easily handle this room if you can vent the heat out of the room...just have to build a box/wall where the heat is coming out n vent it out the room...shouldn't cost that much...i made an enclosure to vent the heat for my jups for 150 bucks...1 fan n some plywood...easy

As I see it, theres two options... You just mentioned the best one - and the one that'll get you in for whatever amount of money you have at your disposal..
The 2nd one is for the guys with a lot of cash. Buy in hard in asics with the best $/ghs ratio and/or w/ghs ratio. With a perdicted ROI date (if you can get gear at a price that gives you one) and make as much coin in profits as possible afterwards.. - then, offload your gear when its not viable at your power costs anymore.. maybe, somewhere in the world it is for someone whos willing to bet on coins gaining value..

Don't mine until they die, but mine until your electricity costs more than the income from mining. At that point it's cheaper to buy the coins than mining. It's probably not worth it to ship a Jup now anyways.
