AFAIK paypal will get the transaction refunded/recalled from his bank anyway - scammers dont win if the payment is through paypal.

i used this pinout for HSTNS-PA01 (its model name).
the 3 marked ones in a row, you can ignore the other pin markings for this use as that is for voltage adjusting to charge rc batteries.

So, I see how you would use the quick-disconnects to connect up the positive and negative leads to power the miner. But how would you connect the pins to jump the power supply? without soldering.

i bought a few packs of these female jumper wire from glorius china Smiley
so i just cut them in half, put 3 onto the pins in question and tape the leads together with electrical tape.
at 1.5$ for enough connectors to do 25 psus its almost free.

What is actually sticking out of the PSU? Is it tabs that you could just solder to or find a push on connector for ?

Its hard to tell from the few pic's I can find.

Is there a fan in the PSU or does it need provided?

Thanks,
The backside:

Basicly the flat ones are 12v/ground/12v/ground on each side and you connect 3 of the middle pins to turn it on and keep it running.
I do not have any extra cooling on mine.

If you do not feel like soldering directly onto psu, you can buy flat cable shoes (not sure if correct translation) and press them onto the flat metal bits.

I live in norway so no walmart etc stores here Sad
Only 3 large retailers that do overall gadgets in walmart style but not walmart prices or selection sadly.

So its either small fans ment for bathroom exhausts at 15$ or the engine cooline fans i found at 30$.
Next is industrial gear at well not so fun pricing.

on the plus side i do have 12c or less outside 10months of the year, so semi-cold air to use.
downside is that since there is at most 1hot week of summer, there is no demand for diy A/C etc

You have an auto junkyard near you Huh Electric engine fans run on 12 volt, get a scrap one or 2.They move pretty good CFM & should be cheap  Wink

They're waterproof,so you could mount them outside & since they're DC,you can reverse the rotation if needed   Grin
Going with 2x engine cooling fans from a local carparts warehouse.
http://images.biltema.com/PAXToImageService.svc/product/large/2000032589
14" 2200rpm 80watt 12V - 530cfm, so 1060cfm total.
70$ new for both so fairly cheap, hopefully that is enough and if not a third will be added for 1590cfm total.

Rough sketch.
http://i.imgur.com/eNlsyOv.jpg
2x 4" ducts from each fan going to a 2x4" adapters pointing out the window gap (might skip the adapters depending on how flimsy they look)
(live on street level in the middle of a city so not very comfortable leaving the window open beyond its outer locking point.)
got a window on the other side of the shelf also to take in cold air, got room for 8x ducts in the window so can go up to 4x 4" for each fan if needed.

So budget/cost:
Cooling - 110$
shelf - 25$
miners - 3370$
psus/wiering - had already
Total - 3505$, so 0.95$ per gh/s with miners/shipping/cooling etc

Normaly just mine with 3-5x S1 ants and buy new as i resell them, but bought a bigger stack of miners than normal so time to setup a shelf i guess Smiley

First layer of unboxing done:
http://i.imgur.com/a7TNDI4.jpg

Scavenged some psu's off old servers in my storage unit:
http://i.imgur.com/DKkIRaZ.jpg

The 12x 310gh/s will generate around 3900w so need to figure out some cooling.
Got 2windows in my storage room so gone put up a shelf between them and play mcgyver with some ducttape/duct/fans.

Just need to figure out how much air i need to move...
dayum...why didn't ya just get a cheap attic heat exhaust fan like me? 1300cfm should be nuff to vent the heat of those cards...it's handling 4kw heat for me Grin How loud is that thing?
Looking at the webpages of varius stores in my area they all sell the same exhaust fans that are 95m3h (3354cfh) so only 56cfm at 15$.
i am guessing that funeling 2 miners (620watt) into a fan each would be a drop in the sea? 336cfm total.

edit:
Best ive found sofar is a 10" 72watt 2300rpm, rated 800m3, 2 of them would give 941cfm.
not too bad pricewise at 30$ each.
