Sure, I see a lot of topics started about hardware wallets, software wallets and dozens of other things that have been explained over and over again. I see where you're coming from. I still think there aren't enough hardware wallets available on the market today to warrant a child board for this subject. A stickied post/megathread would be sufficient IMO.

I don't think we need an entire child board for hardware wallet discussion. As far as I know there aren't even 10 hardware wallets out there, and maybe 3 of them are actually worth anyone's attention. Let's get back to the subject in a few years.

Trezor would be my personal choice.

Maybe you couldn't display signatures or earn merit points, but you could by all means flood the chatbox into oblivion with links to malicious websites. Mods are already busy as it is and it would be near impossible to keep up with all the potential action in the chatbox (and leaving it unmoderated would be a bad idea). I don't think we need a chatbox here.

That's the most important part here. She has no basis to demand that you sell something that she's not legally entitled to. It's your money and entirely your choice what to do with your investment. The thing is, I'm pretty sure she wouldn't like to hear the truth about her not having any say in this. I understand that the situation is complicated and your goal is to avoid escalation. So why don't you try an approach where you show her something like this:

In March 2014, 1 Bitcoin was worth $662.57

Now onto March 2018, 1 Bitcoin is currently worth ~$8000, don't you see a clear uptrend here, honey, why not give it another year?

There's historical price data available on a large number of sites, I'm not pulling these numbers out of my ass. You can show her charts and use the March example. If you have food on your plate and are able to pay rent & bills, then this is a further argument to present against selling now.

This might be a browser cache issue (or not, this is just one of the possibilities). I've had this problem before with other websites that require captcha. Curiously, some sites will never let me log in with Firefox, but always work with Chrome. Try accessing the forum in a different browser and see whether it improves for you.

There is a certain period you have to wait after posting before you can post again. Your reply that you mention was most likely removed because it was considered low value. Look at the amount of ICO pumpers and other spam and tell me again how censorship is an issue here! Just be patient, you will rank up with time and all these restrictions will become less and less annoying.

I am rude in some of my posts. If you really checked my history, then you'd find the answer to your 1st question. Another way that I contribute is reporting people like you, who clutter this very forum with unnecessary, low quality posts, just like yours. Most often I report & then move on, occasionally I'm going to leave a message just like the one you called a shitpost. Compare your posting history with mine and think who actually brings more value here (refrain from posting your thoughts, you are more than welcome to keep it to yourself rather than keeping this now useless thread active.

I think it's completely redundant, since there's an option to show new replies to your posts. Why would you single out quoted posts? Often people will reply to your post in a given thread without quoting it.

I already reported this moron a few times today. This isn't the only thread he did that in + if you check his post history, he's flooding the forum with mediocre shitposts to increase his activity.

It might seem like a crazy idea, but have you considered the Economics section?

You can just use http://www.findmycoins.ninja/ or http://btcdiv.com/ and find out what forked coins you can claim for each address within seconds!

I can't argue with that, it would require some work, but in my opinion it would also bring (much) more accurate results. Also, I am pretty sure there would be plenty of "volunteers" that would give staff a hand in identifying twinks.
