I made a dummy %appdata%/bitcoin/wallet.dat file with the word "fuckyou" in it and it doesn't seem to have been touched

As I feared, this IPO is going nowhere fast.   

Not even 1% of the shares have moved; this is Hosted-mining all over again.  Too bad, I was hoping for another iCE.DRiLL.   

Moving to the postmortem, two outstanding issues are apparent.

1.  CryptX has no reputation, especially compared to Deadterra.

2.  BTCTC is a kiddy exchange with no deep-pocketed whales, compared to Bitfunder.

I wanted this to get off the ground, but it ain't gonna happen here.  You're doing it wrong.

To add injury to insult, now I have hundreds of coins stuck in BTCT because of their amateurish 'manual withdrawal' process.

I'd like to be buying cheap ACTM shares on Bitfunder, but will instead watch them disappear until Burnside gets around to giving me my money back.

If you run the numbers, this is actually a very interesting value proposition.  There is plenty of room for growth considering they will be going live with 1PH when the network is forecasted to be around 3.5-4PH translating to an initial 20% of the network.

@ 20% of the network that's 800 btc/day * 65% for dividends = .0052btc/share per day or .0364/week (around 300%/year dividends over IPO price).

edit... As far as skin in the game, they have already stated they will be adding 20% hash rate out of their pockets with the dividends going 100% to investors until .65 is returned.

why so many rejects on miner 2? kinda seems like something may be wrong. miner 1 has an acceptable amount of rejects but almost 20k for just one miner is something id be looking into.

Yes to "be fair" to the Batch 3 owners chips should continue to be delayed for 7+ weeks  

Batch 1 was late.  Batch 2 was late.  Batch 3 was late.  People said "but chips are different".  Nope sorry!

Watching all this go down when chip sales were announced I thought two things:

1.  Well there goes my Batch 2/3 investment, cannibal Avalon...
2.  Anyone believing chips would ship as estimated hasn't been paying attention, Avalon has historically always been at least 1 month late, with 3+ being more likely.

But still, 1-3 months late is NOTHING compared to the travesty that is BFL...

What I think most people need to understand that is clear now - ASIC Makers don't WANT to release too fast.  That would kill orders and slay the goose laying the golden eggs (aka miner's money!)

As for everyone freaking out about the difficulty - that's partially because B3 finally fully made it out the door!  Just imagine when chips hit...

Ha! Me too! I fall in that category although my hashrate is very, very minor ATM. Lot's on pre-orders but you know how it goes for us folks late to the party.

I am one of the few lucky noobs that have already met ROI so far thanks to arbitrage opportunities even with expensive early mistakes. Some people are willing to speculate that BTC will appreciate tremendously in the long run & are willing to pay a premium to get in-hand or earlier pre-orders.

I'm a victim of coicumstance! I live in a capitalist society, one I wish was a bit more compassionate, but I digress, so who am I to stop someone from using their free will & speculating or using excess cash if they want to get the latest tech? I've been buying & re-selling new/used electronics like giant CRTs and pre-order Wii's when many of these whippersnappers were still in school. Point of fact: I was learning to program in BASIC on a C-64 when many of these young lads were still swimming in Pop's huevos.

Arbitrage. It's a neat word. Mah word of the day. Young 'uns could do well if they play their cards right if they remember the shovel makers and suppliers make the best ROI in a gold rush.
