Re: [ICO ENDED] Jarvis Network - bridge legacy and digital finance

Hello admin,

On Aave DAI APY is currently 40%, USDT APY 2%.

Does this mean that in the sponsorship program it's 20 times better to have 1000 DAI than 1000 USDT?

Or is the ~60k JRT split equally between the 6 stablecoins? Or is it split based on USD deposited, rather than the yield?

Thanks.

🔥 Happy to officially launch a reward program with Balancer pools! 🔥

📖 Progam will unfold in two phases:

◾️ Phase 1: only 3 pools mentioned in the article will receive rewards

◾️ Phase 2: all the pools containing JRT will receive rewards

https://medium.com/jarvis-network/liquidity-program-with-balancer-db23aa0ce10
Are we sharing the 70k weekly with the people who supplied millions of JRT before this announcement?
Such as these guys:

Recessions make stores of value pump. Bitcoin dumped and that's alarming

https://chainbulletin.com/global-recession-indicators-send-the-crypto-market-in-freefall/

How do we explain the fact that news of the upcoming crisis made bitcoin drop unlike other store of value?
Was it some hacker dumping tons like last time?
Or it BTC simply not considered a SoV by the general public.
If it is not, how do we convince them that it is? Do we change our approach?

So, Tone Vays went from "Bitcoin could fall to $1300"[1] to a bullish sentiment in about a month? lol Even when he said that Bitcoin could still fall to sub 2k, the market was in full bullish mode but he didn't change his bearish sentiment. Now that people have stopped paying attention to bearish folks, he decides to switch sides just so he can attract more attention...Like clockwork  Roll Eyes Do people actually take bitcoin investment advices from this guy?

1. https://cryptoinsider.com/tone-vays-bitcoin-is-going-to-1300/
Yep, people give Vays the benefit of the doubt way too often.
If he had given the exact opposite predictions to those he actually gave, he's still be just as respected, if not more.
At the end of the day he's just a clueless gambler like most of us.

How will Dissenter use BTC? They don't have advertisers and they don't have their own token to airdrop to browser users.

I don't see them as a big threat at all. Not to mention ICO funds mean Brave will get continuous support, and Dissenter will be a clone of an old version of Brave a few months from now.

$1300 per T17 miner, rest assured they're getting tens of millions in the first day, and hundreds of millions in the first month. Bitmain is back in business, hopefully smarter this time...

Oh, it definitely has its space in the cryptocurrency world, no doubt. Maybe he was talking about the price - at the time of writing it was still not up to $320 and a top weekly gainer.
I did have some before the BSV fork and managed to double my stash thanks to that - so it has been profitable for me. But maybe not for everyone.
There was also an arbitrage opportunity on Kraken. For some reason, BCH was trading at the value of BCH+BSV and I managed to sell all of it for BTC and rebuy BCH back at CoinEx to double my stash. This was before I even got my BSV from the fork. Good times  Grin Cool Grin

But the more important question before you start playing with BCH is - how much is Jihan Wu's personal wealth.
Nah. The most important question before you go near BCH is - why? It's a failed fork, which has now forked in to two failed forks. The two chains have just become playthings for the ever more ridiculous feud between Ver and CSW, and all either of them have done is slowly lose value against BTC.
Failed how? Ignore the fact that it's 80% up these last two days - it didn't set out to be expensive in the first place, its goal was to allow many transactions to flow safely and cheaply and it has done a tremendous job at doing so.
It is literally saving lives this very moment, in fact it is the leading choice of currency for Airdrop Venezuela, who have fed thousands of families thanks to it. They had reasons to hate large fees and slow confirmations and provided a means for people to continue making use of those for many noble purposes.

We all know that Bitmain's slump is coming to an end, and the company will be profitable again.
But the more important question before you start playing with BCH is - how much is Jihan Wu's personal wealth.
I wish there was a way to find out. I don't think he has all his BCH stash in Bitmain, he must have a personal one as well.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dot-com_bubble#Companies_significant_to_the_bubble

Lycos - Purchased by Terra Networks for $12.5 billion in 2000.[44] It was sold in 2004 to Seoul, South Korea-based Daum Communications Corporation for $95.4 million.[45]

GeoCities - Purchased by Yahoo! for $3.57 billion in January 1999[39] and was shut down in 2009.[40]

Tiscali - Italian telecommunications company whose share price rose from €46 upon its IPO in November 1999 to €1,197 in four months. The share price then fell to €40 in less than two months and eventually fell to €0.20.

Think Tools AG - One of the most extreme symptoms of the bubble in Europe, this company reached a market valuation of CHF 2.5 billion in March 2000 despite no prospects of having a product.

The Learning Company - Bought by Mattel in 1999 for $3.5 billion; sold for $27.3 million in 2000.[43]

Global Crossing - a telecommunications company founded in 1997; it reached a market capitalization of $47 billion in February 2000 before filing for bankruptcy in January 2002.

inktomi - Reached a valuation of $25 billion in March 2000; sold to Yahoo! in 2003 for $241 million.

Broadcast.com - A streaming media website that was acquired by Yahoo! for $5.9 billion in stock, making Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner multi-billionaires. The site is now defunct.

.....

the problem? some coins are just way overvalued now. they have small teams, no earnings, often no real use or product, yet they are worth billions in market cap. many of the big players in crypto will go bankrupt if people keep pushing them......

the only way we can save crypto is if we evaluate companies realistically. if we buy into new, cheap, promising projects. not into the bubble coins that are extremely high.

Realistically, pricing is determined by supply and demand. There's WAY too much demand for ETH below $100 for it to drop that low, so you've provided no real argument to back up the clickbait-y title.

As others have mentioned, BCH tends to pump not on fork day, but a few weeks prior. I'm buying some at the moment, hopefully Schnorr signatures are a marketable feature which could bring us above $200. But I also kinda hope it doesn't moon just yet, I want to reach 2100 BCH the next 2-3 years, before it actually explodes.

Re: Will Monero Reach $500 in 2019?
by

on 26/03/2019, 20:54:44 UTC
For Monero to reach $500, other coins will need to pump even more. Monero is quite frankly unappealing, it has horrible user experience, to the point where some dark markets prefer using non-private coins just so they don't deal with all the crap surrounding XMR.

I see Monero as a great science project that could bring tons of innovation, only to be adopted by other coins.

Openbazaar is really great, and I do advise you to start using it - to pump its popularity is to pump crypto in general.
But I'd still list my things on ebay as well, after all our time is limited - might as well take the money quickly and use it to promote crypto in other ways.

You should also ask taxi drivers what they think of Uber and Autonomous cars, you'll get a similar response.
Just because this dude wears a suit and cabbies don't doesn't make his opinion less biased and untrue.
In fact we should celebrate the fact that he's taking his time in spewing this crap, it shows he's afraid.

This is a good step towards achieving mainstream adoption. Right from the day one, I knew that BNB will be a good coin. With more of news like this, Bitcoin mainstream adoption is closer than ever
Technically BNB is not a very good coin, it's just pumped by a centralized organization. But if it does help us reach higher levels of popularity, so be it. It is a weird second pick though, gotta wonder why BNB and not ETH.

All of these concerns can be alleviated if you simply use a hardware wallet - suddenly you stop caring about potential viruses and malware. Once you have more than $500 in crypto, I think it's a necessity.

I hadn't even heard of KIN before I read this article on crypto communities. TL;DR: Even though they are a small cap compared to others, they have one of the LARGEST real communities on reddit, with actual enthusiasm.

In fact they're the top 1 coin when it comes to having a large community compared to its small price. And they have amazing financial backing. I believe there's reasons to be bullish.

Re: Why do you have to take risks.
by
cryptomaster420
on 21/03/2019, 12:14:27 UTC
all investments are at risk. What we need to do is: reasonable control of risk. this requires us to learn the knowledge of encryption technology. before investing. we need to pay close attention to market trends and the latest news. these are helpful to our investment.
Yep. My principles are no more than 20% of net worth goes into crypto, and half of my portfolio is in top 20 blue chips.
100% crypto worked well for people like Roger Ver and Rick Falkvinge but they were early adopters and we are late to the party, so diversification is key.

Grin will be outdated once LTC implements mimblewimble.
Beam will be outdated once LTC implements mimblewimble.
ADA is being developed by academics with not a lot of real world success and they're behind on any possible schedule, their business plan also has little value for real world businesses.
I'd invest in none of them.

Re: Ethereum vs BitcoinCash Which will win?
by
cryptomaster420
on 21/03/2019, 12:10:55 UTC
BCH is nothing but a pump and dump coin and forked from BTC, nothing huge difference. On the other hand, ETH was totally something innovative idea for that time. At some point, BCH will no longer be on top 10 even but ETH will be there for sure.

I haven't seen anything solid development for BCH as compared to ETH platform, where they are in continuous improvement of their technology. So I don't think BCH will win on this area. Are BCH developers transparent with their plans? In my opinion, Eth dev team is stronger than BCH, and they have the capability to deliver results as compared to BCH team.
How will you see it if you haven't tried to even google it? BCH has more than 10 different wallet implementations and all of them are working on different features - Schnorr signatures, preconsensus, oracles.
Not to mention ecosystem participants such as Satoshi Dice and OpenBazaar.
Ethereum is developer-based so it needs more developers to be relevant, BCH needs to be cash and it has more than enough devs to fill in the ranks. Ethereum has interesting proposals with Plasma and PoS but they are also more risky - and if they work out, quite frankly ETH will overtake not only BCH but BTC as well. Or it will fail miserably, time will tell.
